  • The Charleston Lowcountry from the air. Taking off from Gadsdenville Landing, I fly out a small creek past a marsh island to Copahee Sound and hover over oyster beds. I pass a great blue heron on the way out and a great egret on the way back in. I think the birds I accidentally spooked in Copahee Sound are American Oystercatchers.
Because of the heavy overcast sky and flat light, I had to boost the contrast and saturation in Adobe Premier Pro. I'm looking forward to going back with better weather. But my DJI Phantom 3 Standard arrived in the mail the day before, and I had to fly!

Thanks for the tour. I would like to launch my skiff from here since it drafts about as much as a kayak. Will go check it out.

Depending on your beam, you should be good above half tide. I've seen small jon boats head in and out of here.

Great video! Thanks for posting. Great info for anyone kayaking from the boat ramp. Looks like about high tide. Do you remember the exact date and time so I can reference the tide?

I don't, and I can't find the original file. Sorry. I'll try to keep a log next time
