      Hey man thanks for asking and watching the channel!
      land based spots:
      -Pitt street,
      -bowens island dock (pay dock),
      -Mnt P pier
      -Garris pier (Awendaw)
      Higgins pier (west ash bike trail)
      Crosby’s folly (pay dock)
      -chs county parks. James island and palmetto islands have fishing docks.
      Most city public parks on the water will have a dock you can crab at.
      Thanks and enjoy!

    Another awesome video! I've been trying out every launch in the area and this really validates what I've experienced. Had my best day on the water at paradise so glad to see it's your number one!

      Thanks buddy! Yeah it’s a super fun place with so much to explore. I’ve fished every creek all the way down to hwy 41 from there. It’s fun learning the areas and finding where the fish hang on different tides. I used to hit all the ramps and explore more but now I live on the water so it’s just too convenient to go from my neighborhood dock. Thanks again for watching!

    Great place for a kayak launch would be the old Pitt street bridge, there's a little launch area in the parking lot

    • @CurrentAngling
      @CurrentAngling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely! I decided not to mention it because it’s too crude and tide dependent.

    Hey, great information! Would you also know of any tent camping sites near paradise island?

    • @CurrentAngling
      @CurrentAngling  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I believe Buck Hall recreation area has camping sites. That puts you near paradise and even closer to cape Romain which is a wild and awesome fishing estuary.
      Another option could be James island county park. This puts you in a great fishing area near golly and Bowen’s island. The park also has its own dock off a side creek of the Stono River.

    Hey man - just wanted to say thanks again for sharing this and some of your other tips! I’ve always been open about my spots and what I’m using for bait - especially with people who are just getting into it. A lot of guys out there like to keep everything secret..haha I went out to Paradise today after seeing your video - caught 5 reds and my new PB trout! It was awesome. Thanks for sharing!

      They have a floating dock but it’s a pretty long walk and inconvenient. I would walk it out and see what you’re getting yourself into before committing.
      Much easier places to launch nearby

  • @CurrentAngling
    @CurrentAngling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I forgot to mention that I also don’t like to launch my kayak at Remleys Point boat ramp. It puts you right out into BIG open water on the harbor where there are tons of boats and wakes including container ships etc.

    I've been watching your vids for several months and really like them. This one just popped up for me today and I've been looking for this info.
    I have a boat (18' aluminum) and I'm coming from a couple hours inland...maybe 2.5 hours so I have been wondering about the landings in the general vicinity of where Hwy. 41 crosses the river. Is there a public landing there or would I have to go to a marina? What about Guerin Landing? It seems kind of isolated so I wonder how safe vehicles would be? I will call the marinas for pricing, any info you can add would be great. Thanks.

    • @CurrentAngling
      @CurrentAngling  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey I appreciate you watching and commenting.
      There are only private marinas in at the 41 bridge. Guerin landing rd is blocked off for vehicle traffic and there is no water access. Your nearest public access would be paradise further up the wando or remleys near the harbor.

    Good afternoon young man. I've been watching your videos every Chance I get. I have gotten into fishing from a kayak 2 yrs ago. Let me tell ya, it's been a long teaching process. You've help me a lot. Tried salt strong, it help a little. But soon all they wanted was for ya to buy there merchandise. If you decide to guide, I'd like to be your first customer. You could teach someone like me a lot. Keep those videos coming..

      Thank you that’s means a lot. Anyone can catch a fish and show that but I really try to add value and give insight. I’ve actually gone down the guide route and have my capt license. However it just isn’t for me, at least right now. I can however refer you to some top notch guys (boat or kayak) if you are interested.

    How about pitt street Bridge kayak launch. What do you think about it ? I'm thinking about going there soon

    • @CurrentAngling
      @CurrentAngling  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pitt street can be tough because the launch is off the side of the road and if you have a large kayak and a lot of gear it’s a pain. I suggest scouting it out first. Also, if the tide is low you man not be able to get in or out of that small creek.

    Charleston is in desperate need for more ramps. Definitely around the harbor. Very limited for such a hot fishing destination.
