Great job on the cabin. Looks great and I like how you show people that age isn’t a barrier if you need something done. I’m 60 now but I’m trying not to let people stop me from doing something because of my age. Great job as always
Mo I think you did great building such a beautiful cabin. 20 yrs ago I was building just the decks that size for $20k- $25k. I like the fact that when you finish a project you can step back and have pride in what you've done. That cabin will probably be still standing after some of the expensive homes the professionals are building nowadays have fallen apart. You and Pink have come a long way in the year that I've been watching. Still hoping for you that the channel grows and your able to see all the plans you have, come to fruition.
great mo i had 12,ooo total so not too far, but a great job congratulate yourself and thanks for being with us involved in your satisfaction and completion to enjoy it all bravo buone cose ciao buona sera
Excellent job on the Cabin! Congratulations on a job extremely well done! I understand why you are doing what you are. I have my son and daughter-in-law in Florida, we are in NC. As a Cuban American, I understand what you are saying!
I would suggest a pocket door / barn door for the addition. From what I have seen of your solid woodworking skills, this would be great content to build view hours. $10k is very reasonable when you consider the inflation driven lumber supply industry.
We are leaning toward an open pass thru from the main room to the kitchenette and then a pocket door for the wash room. We think this will allow for the heat to distribute better from the wood stove into the addition. PINK
Looking forward to seeing the bathroom addition and the water catchment system. $10K isn't bad considering all you've done to the cabin, including the deck. I'm guessing the 2x6s that you used for the rafters are 16 footers to give you the 2 foot overhang on the front of the cabin?
Consider applying the window film that allows you to see out but no one can see in. It will keep the simple, uncluttered look of the cabin. I wish I could find a place just like that to live in ! Best regards, Karen (Hudson Valley NY)
Yes, there were tears, at least for me...there was a time there I was so worried about our situation. Now, my heart is at rest, and my soul dances. Pink

I've seen them in movies as well, must have been mass produced.

Yes, Virginia
Please a roof over the deck. Please
We want the deck open so that we can star gaze. Plus, we have a covered deck at our other cabin. PINK
