Slope has numerous real life applications,
one very basic example is that you could find the acceleration using slope if you have a velocity vs time graph

at 4:25 you said doesn't matter which one we label as x1 and y1 I do both and i get a positive and negative answer at 4:57
y2 - y1 it could be 4 - 1 = 3 or 1 - 4= -3
x2 - x1 it could be 2 - (-2)= 4 or -2 -2= -4
