You are the only teacher who make us understand the concept way better than others The way you explain everything in detail and not just making us digest the formula is the best thing i have seen on TH-cam so far Please continue making more videos on 11th &12th topics
When I was in Algebra, oh 25 years ago I would ask that same question, "why is this important?" I wasn't trying to be difficult but for me back then and even now I like to know the concrete use cases of whatever I'm learning. It helps me have motivation. I'm preparing to go to college as a 43 year old adult and I'm finding your style of teaching "addictive" to say the least. Thank you so much!
For people who wants to learn when instructor making things complicated he’s showing off when a structure say it is easy. He’s not showing off. He will do his best to teach you. So this guy is making it easy and not showing off and using his maximum ability to make it easy for us to learn.
The amount of notes that I can write down from your lessons is unbelievable, Thank you for your time, and helping people who struggle greatly with this subject!!!!
I am so thankful that I came across your site. The thorough way you teach is perfect, the way you repeat and emphasize steps is just what I needed to understanding the rise over run. I will definitely be watching and learning from your other videos.
Sir you are a great teacher and deserve many more views for your videos and I really appreciate your hard work to teach such complex knowledge with so much ease and above all the crux of every topics in very lucid way .🙏🙏🙏thanks for giving such great and valuable knowledge lot of love from bottom of my heart 🙏🙏
cant tell you how much this helped. I'm studying the algebra of a line for Stats 1 but getting ready to take precalc. and 2&3, so I was so grateful to hear how much I need to understand this. now i am going to go look for your other videos on this rise/rune :) thank you so much!!
Thank you so much for this. I should have learned this like 2 years ago and now I'm struggling with math in high school. This actually helps me so much god bless you.
I used to think ill never use this stuff in my career when i was in high school. The funny part was that i use y=mx+b daily for scaling sensors. Thank you for making these videos!
Mr Jason you are indeed a real teacher.i would be happy to have you in sierra leone.please help me on y=px^2+q/xy and x is not equal to zero and p and q are constants 1.find dy/dx 2.show that x^2d^2y/dx^2+7xdy/dx+8y=0

I am having a hard time locating these lessons in the members section of the "math tutor dvd" website. Anybody know where to find these more recent uploads?
He did an amazing job as we get older we don't forget we have to re_boot. All I ask my instructor that I pay 3,000 to explain. Her response we do have tutors. Ummm no you don't because the tutors don't n refuse to do there job. I just learn something from this instructor .walking in the tread n learn the basic. I still need to understand the graph ❤
Did you know that the other related word to slope is Romanian "Prislop"( high altitude terrain in a shape of a saddle)? I think that some returning Dacians brought the word from Birdoswald where Cohorts I Aelia Dacorum were stationed to work on Hadrian's wall in ad 123. Prislop ,pri'( on, above). + English ,slope' It is of English/ British origin because there are several words related to it. Slide, sled, slippery etc. There are over ,60 Romanian English similar words that neighbors don't have and I've searched them in Wiktionary Most are described as unknown origin' , and are not via French or Germanic languages. Another example is Bulgare( chunk, ball) in romanian from pie , b'h'alg' ( pile)/ bulk.
Im not going to lie, I cheated through 90% of algebra 1, and now am taking algebra 2 and am actually trying. I essentially screwed myself, but these videos are clutching up hard core. Thanks man
Thank you! I sent this to my niece before the negative slope calculation. Can't we say a negative slope equals a descent rather than "rise down" which sounds oxymoronic?
Yes, you can certainly think of it as a decent. I speak of it in terms of a rise down, because the slope calculation is rise divided by run. So if you consider the rise as being a negative rising going down then you will automatically get a negative slope of a calculation. That’s why I refer to it that way but you can certainly think of it as a decent just as you stated.
@@simpleman283 The general consensus is "m" is French for "monter" or to climb. Im guessing somehow the french were in place to determine what the terms of notation were called considering it was a Frenchman (Decartes), who came up with the Cartesian coordination system in the first place.
What exactly is confusing? The coordinates of the points are the pieces of information necessary to calculate the slope which is the rise divided by the run.
The coordinates of the points are always written (x,y). That does not mean x/y. It's done like that so anyone will know the first number is always the x axis & likewise second number is the y axis. That is just the way graphs are.

Very well explained, THANK YOU!!! My biology teacher said i was too analytical, but that's the way I learn!!! Details!!!
Very interesting class. I have enjoyed. Thank you. Would you give me an idea about your slope 1,2 video?
I had been struggling to really understand fractions w/negatives.
Not any more. Great lesson.
Awesome to hear!
You deserve an award sir. Thank you soooooo much
You are such a great teacher! the way you explain is unique, clear, and lucid. I really appreciate you, thanks sir.
I was crying and confused UNTIL you made it easier for me. THANK YOU!!!
your teaching is impeccable as always.. thank you for everything

This video and examples just helped me understand this process..This was a great video....awesome job.
I love the way you teach, and it is so easy to understand how to solve the problems now.
Very easy to grasp. Thanks a million.

Omg!! This really helped. Thanks for being so thorough. 😊
this is what real knowledge looks like.❤❤❤🎉
finally i understand the slope formula!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!
How about the % in to numbers amazing. 16:30

7th grade math, unit 4, lesson 18
The best teaching
You are an amazing teacher. Very easy on the eyes as well. Thank you.
Awww shucks thank you!
Your teaching approach is good.
I passed an assessment test in math because of you! Thank you Sir!
Very happy to hear this! Congrats!
Thank u so much, you make solving math so much fun
Hello when i try to pick two points (3,2) (5,10) i get m = 4 instead of m = 3
When the 1st derivative of a function is zero, the slope is constant. When the 1st derivative of a slope is non-zero, the slope is variable.
So much appreciate for your video and effective instruction.
How about the % in to numbers amazing.
❤ a great teacher you are.

Seems a bit confusing to me that you show the coordinates of points 1 and 2 as (run, rise) when the slope is calculated as rise/run.

why is the slope of a line rise by run and not run by rise
