Anyone else glowing up later in life?
Subscribe for more x
no thanks
Absolutely yes but that's cos i became more aware about objective beauty and starting applying the knowledge to myself
glowing up in my early 20s lol. grew up as the chubby asian boy but once you grow older you definitely do become aware of how you look and start to change your habits
@@cookiewithsunglasses6786 exactly
@@angelusvastator1297 love that man
Being Asian myself I also noticed that my face started looking more lean and chiselled in my mid 20s. I’d like to think I reach my prime look in mid 30s with lean angular face with light facial hair
Yes agreed. I would also like to be able to grow some facial hair haha
with that face structure and hairline, you won the Asian genetic lottery my man.
Thanks so kind!
I actually grew up thinking I was ugly haha
Dude straight up looks like a UFC fighter.
@@Hairynibba777 lol is that a good thing or not
It's crazy how much Asian men can ascend when they get defined brow ridges. Looking good bruv
Thanks haha
The only way to get them is through surgery.
@@takewealth I definitely can’t afford surgery hahaha
Maybe when TH-cam ad revenue starts paying ;)
@@takewealth yup but some Asians are born lucky and have them
@@angelusvastator1297 This too.
i believe using jawliner since 16 years old changed my face in a very good way, totaly recommend it,i think chewing is the better way to have a bigger jaw,its as simple as building any other muscle
Chewing and mewing yes sir
Chew gum!!!!!
Probably had nothing to do with the jawliner, you just got older. Your face/jaw bones don’t finish growing until like 21-24

Thanks my bro. Maybe one day I’ll try growing it out again x

bro you are now my fav self development chad on TH-cam
Thanks bro. Appreciate you :)
Dairy is a big factor for me as well, I cut it out during 2022 and changed completely. This is on top of only drinking water (No form of added sugar besides fruits) and I started making my own food (no salt, not for everyone though), whole face became extremely sculpted. On top of tracking my sleep and hitting weights, really will change your face.
Are you lactose intolerant, and are you asian?
Dairy tastes so good but it’s not good for you haha
For some reason, dairy makes my skin much clearer.
@@johnnyguitar8067 Everyone different 🤝🏾
Yea I've noticed dairy completely gimps my skin.
Really nice video - just subbed

Thanks for the tips, Bivol!

At the chubby face phase now. Was always frustrated with my babyfat face. Didnt help that much lowering bodyfat.
Happy to know its gonna go away when i’m older.
@@jskitjbslgolodbg5031 yes sir
Good tongue posture can only get you so far. 95% of your face and bone structure is genetic. To anyone feeling bad about themselves reading this, please work on accepting your body and practicing body neutrality. The rise of looksmaxxing is incredibly harmful. If you go to the gym and eat a semi-healthy diet, you will look better than 90% of the population regardless of your face. Again, a lot of your face comes down to winning the genetic lottery. There's a reason why 99% of the people walking down the street don't look like supermodels, and that is ok.
Yes
Yup
Just gotta get your face lean enough to see your jawline. It's literally that simple. Gotta lose enough BF to see the jawline. Mine is naturally more pronounced even with a higher bf so I'm excited to see how it looks at the end of this cut.
@@TheBlurReturns16rate me bruh 1-10
Most ppl likely dont even get close to reaching their genetic potential due to bad chewing habits, nutritional deficies, and bad postural habits
Most ppl would prob be considerably good-looking if they had all those factors in check since birth
It's too early to be asserting that 95% of our appearance is genetic
The only convincing evidence I know of that supports ur assertion is that identical twins tend to look identical, but keep in mind theyre usually raised in very similar environments. Arent there cases where one twin was a mouth breather and ended up having an extremely recessed face while the other did not?
Something that would be interesting to see which would support ur assertion is if most ppl with a good jawline have some shared genetics
U giving me Zhang Minyang(chinese ufc fighter) vibes
Oh cool
Hi i am 17 i have crossbite which makes my face assymmetrical and i consulted a doc he said i need palatap expansion will it help in forward jaw growth and bigger jaw because my jaw and chin has little bit recession and i cant do mewing as my face will get worse and joints will start to pain more . So i need your opinion that will palatal expansion will make my bone structure good and project forward growth or not. Its my humble request
There’s good research for palatial expanders
Do you have an orthodontist? Time is money when it comes to moving the bones of your upper palate
You give a great vibe. You seem a good person. 💪
I try to be the man my parents, my future wife and my future children would be proud of :)
yo quick question, this might be weird but how long were you breastfed for as a baby? i saw a study somewhere saying how the duration that you were breastfed impacted your bone density quite severely. Thank you!
That is a weird question haha.
I have no idea.
I was reading up on how those people that sucked their fingers as children were more likely to have recessed jawlines
It's all genetic
Got it
And there goes my modeling dream😮💨
I think mostly genetic but there are still things you can do! Look at Brett Mavericks transformation :)
No genetics break a good jaw. On the other hand, you can have the best genetics in the world, if you are a chronic mouth breather and don't chew on tough foods, your face is just gonna melt. The more you learn about mewing the better, if you adopt the right habits, you can really change your face in a reasonable amount of time.
@@marcrchzlol keep coping with mewing 😂
@@jeffbro1021 They are the natural habits you should have, so your jaw developes properly. If you have the wrong habits, your face is just gonna melt. I had bad posture almost all my life, and started mewing at 19. Within just a few months, the results were significant. I think Dr. Mike Mew is smarter than you.
Hey dude awesome results! Did u see improvements in the under eye area@@marcrchz
I gotchu question what goes up first when swallowing ? The tip of your tongue then the back or do you just raise the back of your tongue then the tip follows ? Sorry if this is a Weird question just curious
So I try not to overthink and overanalyse this part of it gets complicated .
Essentially, swallow some water and where your tongue ends up at the end of the swallow is where you want it to be
Have it flat against the roof of your mouth.
Mike mew is a great guy to listen to about it

A different question, but do you still have all your teeth (including wisdom teeth)? I've heard that is a sign of a well developed jaw and bone structure.
I do have all my teeth and wisdom teeth. And I have heard this too x
At what age did your face naturally lose fat stores from aging? Im 19 and have always stored more fat in my cheeks since i was a kid. I have a 6 pack with ab veins so im already pretty lean and am on a bulk rn. Im considering buccal fat removal surgery but not sure if my face will store less fat when im, say 21 for example.
Yes the fat in your face protects you from aging.
I’m not a surgeon but I would discourage you from buccal fat pad removal as it was accelerate your aging process in your face (see what celebrities like Liam Payne look like in 5 years)
My face started leaning out mid to late 20s
what u using for skincare ? alos u use sunscreen ?
I’m making a video on this topic but
1. Cleanser
2. Moisturiser
3. SPF sunscreen
4. Retinol
can you do what i eat in a day? Ive cut out sugar and dairy, but im not sure how to cut off sodium or salt. Nice video!
Yes I’d love to do that soon.
Maybe 5k subs special
Are you Korean? My dad has the similar thing going with the cheekbones n jaw same with me as well. Which is weird that in Asia they do jaw and cheekbone shaving which in the west it’s the opposite.
Yeah western standards of beauty are different.
I’m half Chinese and half Malaysian but I have Korean blood from my mothers side so I get Korean a lot hahah

He looks like Dmitry bivol
@@zs8796 he’s a champ. Best light heavyweight in the world
@Therealmattchong You're a champion aswell, don't forget that ever.
Nice video. I think the other issue is that you had long hair when you were younger, and they nearly always makes the face look rounder. Your buzz cut is becoming and accentuates your nice facial angles.
My acne was so bad that’s why I covered my face with my hair haha
@@Therealmattchong I understand. As a physician, I can say that hair over the face generally makes acne worse--especially on the forehead.
I am 14 will my face change alot as I grow older? I am kinda insecure because some people my age look really good. Do u also got any other hard to chew foods?
Eat lots of raw healthy animal foods, avoid drugs and caffeine, be happy you are young, you have time buddy start mewing.
You will peak later in life bro dw. I was the same.
Male faces take longer to mature :)
@@MasonShirey1 yes sir
@@MasonShirey1 thanks bro it's nice to hear this
@@Therealmattchong thanks man atleast I got hope now
Was your brow ridge always quite defined or did it get more prominent at a certain age?
I think it grew as I aged haha
I mean in the thumbnail it’s a completely different angle, photo quality, and facial expression. Not exactly a fair comparison at all.
@@dathunderman4 agree but even if you took the same angle and everything you’ve described it’s still a change.
Plus, who doesn’t need a bit of clickbait?
is the skin on your face really thin? or is everyone's skin feel like a layer of blubber on their face?
I think it thins when you age
Have you tried a middle part?
Oooo not yet
I feel like i have the opposite effect. As i grew older my face became rounder compare when im younger its more v-shaped even though i mostly stayed the same weight
Oh mad. Do you strength train?
@@Therealmattchong i did start to consistently workout this year to lose fat that may help with my facial features. It can also be attributed to my diet as i used to eat lots of fast foods. Hoping to see some changes
Opinions on fasting (sometimes). I also have a low bodyfat but my face doesn't show that too much.
Mmmmm sometimes it depends on where your fat is distributed :)
@@Therealmattchong I see. Yea face is fairly lean but not hollow cheek lean lmao. Maybe it just comes with age and less salt/sugar
good and helpful video as always. Do you think mewing really matters and helps for getting a good jawline or is focusing on other stuff better for the jawline
I think mewing and proper tongue posture should be the base and then the other stuff can help :)
@@Therealmattchong thanks for the reply and for the hint bless you
would chewing increase ramus length?
Unlikely to change it that much but it can’t hurt
do male models train neck to width of the jawline? does having thik neck hide the jaw
yes neck width makes your face look wider
If you have a naturally thinner neck it’s worth training it
Did you use any medication for your acne?
Tretinoin with clindamycin antibiotic
Which bodyfat range is the most ideal for facial leanness?
8-12 percent :)
@@Therealmattchonghow do you calculate body fat percentage
@@maskirovkarokossovska45 dexa scan, clippers or estimating by what you see
While i wish my face was less angular more pointy
Angular is nice though
So how long did you mew for and when?
Think sub consciously soft mewed and breathed through my nose most of my life
This happens to all men and women. You don't stop developing until around 25, actually.
Yes sir
"I am a surgeon" -> "no"
Lol
You are a vision. You could be Prince Charming or in action films. Your voice sounds like it is dubbed. Is it??????
Haha not dubbed but I think the sound is a tiny tiny tiny bit out of sync
Fixed for my future videos :)
This is happening to me too😹out of nowhere i just had a jawline
Yay
i have had high levels of testosterone and resting my tongue naturally under pallet my whole teenage years and i have a round and short jawline that i inherited from mother, none of your tips work unfortunately as it is all genetics just like height
You can still get lean and make your jawline more visible
you most likely had a suboptimal diet. small mouth is a function of modern diet not genetics. look up Westin A Price
I don't think me being 85kg and 5'5 is going to help😂 but when I was less fat I did have a decent jawline but my face tends to carry alot of fat depending on how much salt and sugar I consume the day or days before.
Carbs, salt and sugar can make you bloated!
@@Therealmattchong I eat alot of All. When I was 77-78kg I looked really good even though I'm 5'5 and British Bangladeshi. I just need to go on a deficit.

Yeah you’re still young but works better in teenage years I believe
Mewing is anecdotally very effective in the adolescent years too :)
I started to hit the gym since I was late 16
Nice one bro
the beauty standard is really different in west. here in asia that face shape is unattractive
Quite different I think
Do you normally use contact lenses or glasses?
Glasses bro
@@Therealmattchong do you think wearing glasses reduces your attractiveness or not?
@@hyyybo9594 I think it probably does but the frames I have fit my face well and it’s nice to be in disguise like Clark Kent/superman so I’ll keep wearing them and not contacts
@@Therealmattchong understandable btw why dont you wear contacts is it for health reasons or you just prefer glasses?
@@hyyybo9594 yeah I like disguising myself and not being recognised in public but also my vision isn’t that bad so I can see outside without glasses mostly haha
Do you have your wisdom teeth?
I have an appointment to look at getting them removed but I’m not sure if I want to as they’re not causing issues
@@Therealmattchong you should definitely stick on to them. With your bone structure I would imagine they're more or less functional, it would be a pity to lose them. Removing them could potentially undermine your "angular" facial structure. And take it from me, the feeling of having 4 less teeth in your mouth is quite unsettling and heart wrenching. Only when you lose them do you really appeciate their existence. Only it'll be too late, and you've marred your body for life.
And take what your dentist says with much more than a grain of salt. They will very likely advise you to extract. 9 out of 10 times their reasoning is grossly flawed and misinformed, so do your own research rather than take their advice for face value. And dig deep when doing so. A lot of the studies gravitate towards wisdom teeth extraction for obvious reasons, and they are poorly constructed.
Remember, you can always choose not to extract, but once you do, that's it. Protect the body you were given. Protect it from the shallow minded.
@@kaiiida4661 super insightful maybe it’s worth making a video on this topic in the future
@@Therealmattchong Please do so. People need to know about this stuff. It can save so many.
@@Therealmattchong Totally agree with him, it's possible your facial structure will collapse after getting them removed
What's your height?
187.5cm but my modelling agency rounded me up to 188cm
its bc the fat in your face decreases the older you get. that's why old people look all bony in their face even though they're fat.
Yup
Your left side prob got blocked.
My nose probably did.
But even as a toddler, my nose was slightly asymmetrical tbh
Your face gets fuller with age not hallower. People face definition is most angular is late teens and early 20s
Interesting
Not true at all. Face gets leaner as you age lol. You lose elasticity and collagen your cheeks hallow out. The reason humans are getting fuller faces as they age is because they eat garbage food with lots of fat and sodium. Theres an indian plumber i know who's in his 40s and he eats a vegetarian diet and has insanely hollow cheeks while his friends who are the same age are alcoholics and eat garbage have huge bellies and double chins.
it depends on genetics and diet.
Most people gain weight with age, so technically true
@@TwistedLullabies even guys who stay lean. Look at a lot of celeberties who are in great shape. Their cheeks somehow become fuller
you can't say having great bone structure is genetics when promoting mewing. You are going against mewing founders themselves, just look at John mew, then Mike mew. Now tell me it's genetics. You just said yourself you were mouth breathing as much as possible and you grew up eating hard foods, your dad most likely did too in all logic, which explains both of you having great jaws. Proper posture, and eating hard foods plays it all. Genetics is only a small factor on specifically few things, but having a great jaw is not genetics. Great video anyways.
🙏
Chadlite
😂
Your same age as me lol.
I’m 28 now lol
When you get older you develop fat on the face and hang on to fat more easily due to naturally lower muscle mass.
That’s why you got to do weight training to keep your muscle
Am I supposed to see a difference?
😂
Genetics. There.
I think mostly genetics yes but you have to work a bit to achieve your potential
Donate ur gonions to me bro
i can't. They're fused to my skull lol haha
🤡 Perfect before pucture lmao
Who are you fooling
lolipopppss
Fat loss as you aged.
I think partially yes
Seems like a jaw and chin implant.
Lol thanks
I have similar facial structure, very much like a square. This is genetics and possible. If it was implants it would look way more unnatural, trust me his jaw and chin look natural.
@@user-uw8di3hp9s thanks bro. Facial harmony innit haha
i always figured asians cant have these features. I'm half white half asian i guess i got unlucky. My mom has Huge visible cheekbones.
I think I’m a bit of an anomaly tbh
I'm half asian half white and have huge cheekbones, but my jaw is super weak 😭
@@Jonathan_from_Arkansas whats ur bodyfat %? i am mixed too. my mother is korean and has wide Robust cheekbones. I honestly don't think getting Lean will help me, so im just gonna get fatter and give up. I attribute it to aging too shes in her 60s. I got the worst combo of traits from whites and yellows. This is why i oppose R mixing. IMO its better to look either 100% white or 100% asian. Ambiguous people can come out weird looking like me
btw if thats u in pfp, you look pretty caucasian. Alot of Asians got wide noses like africans. atleast you got a narrow nose, with wide lips, which you need for Balanced facial harmony.
