I think a lot of people are taking this video the wrong way, of course as individuals the creators will have personal preferences on how people look. I do agree that projecting these preferences as standards is harmful, but this video is mainly for those considering surgery. The whole message is not that chin recession is bad, but that one should consult doctors who realize the “whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

You didn't just change her chin you changed her whole jaw which is way more difficult than a nose job. Not everyone has enough money to completely re-do their face just to live up to unrealistic beauty standards.
He moved forward her maxilla (upper jaw forward growth) which is the bone of our midface and is connected to many other bones in the skull and no sane cosmetic surgeons will do that, it is HIGHLY DANGEROUS! A lot of our face bone structures/proportions are just genetics and that just it.
I've had sort of recessed jaw like hers, and all I had to do to fix it is... simply jut my lower jaw forward until the facial muscles got used to holding the jaw in forward position. It didn't even take that long to accomplish, and I don't even consciously think about it ever.
Thats a cheapskate thing to say. If you're going to bother getting any work done get the correct area done. Don't get the wrong area done because you're a miser. I had a chin implant and it was one of the biggest regrets of my life. I let shit like this and other things online bother me, was self conscious and depressed for years. But it felt and looked so unnatural. Even from award winning surgeons, you can't trust them. Now I have a scar under my chin to remind me and hair doesn't grow there, but luckily with the beard I've opted to grow it just covers it with enough length. There is degrees of things especially in medicine. Chin might be slightly recessed or a lot. A BP of 135/90 is slightly high but 160/100 you might wanna go to an ER
@@augustusmaximus11 Hers is nor recessed by orthodontic standards. May look like that because the tip of her nose is very big, but It also looks big in comparision to her lips
Assuming she's even a real person, with the way people sign consent forms without reading them, it's very possible she agreed without realizing it. When pictures need to be taken for treatment purposes, the treatment consent form should mention it, but it usually specifies something like "for treatment, teaching, and/or promotional purposes." I always just write in my own caveat that says images that show any identifying characteristics can only be used for treatment purposes.
Plastic surgery culture especially in the Western world is so normalised, so disguised under "self care" or "your body your choice" kind of situation, when in reality it is extremely toxic and dangerous and can mess up your life permanently and severely. It's just sad that this obsession with perfection and youth has affected our society so bad that we cannot even notice beauty in diversity, only applying one default pattern which is accepted as beautiful. Truly horrifying.
Less conventionally attractive people get treated worse and are viewed as less friendly, less likeable and less competent. The pretty privilege is real. If you really are objectively ugly there should be an option to change that. Saying everyone is beautiful in their own way doesn't help and is sadly wrong
@@namenloserflo I have to disagree with you on that one. @@Lizzie.K84 It also heavily depends on where you live. Physical appearance in some countries like Korea heavily determines not only how you’re treated by others, but also the likelihood of easily landing a job (because of this they literally require a profile photo of yourself on resumes or for basically anything). So, if someone’s “conventionally unattractive” by their standards, life isn’t gonna be convenient living there. If not looks, then having a lot of money mainly replaces that value and status. Koreans tend to care a lot about material things like designers because appearing wealthy vs looking poor also affects how people treats you as well.
Do you actually believe that everyone looks alike? Do you just look at influencers and famous people on social media all day and think that just because that VERY small subset of the population looks alike, that means everyone is morphing into each other? Go outside. Everybody looks different, no not everyone is turning into “clones” of one another, you just spend too much time looking at people on social media with influence whose literal job is to mold themselves into the beauty standard, and no they are not a large group of people, they’re a fraction of a fraction of a percent of the population. If you actually go outside you’d see that quite literally everyone looks different.
I actually love the look of a soft chin. I think the problem a lot of people are having is the “instagram face” epidemic. People with excessive surgeries or fillers are all beginning to look the same. I miss unique faces. A small chin or big nose isn’t a problem to be fixed. It’s just a facial feature.
Yea chin… the adjustment you showed can only be done with multiple painfuö jaw operations as you also pulled the jaw forward, double jaw surgery type of thing which is very painful and takes long to heal and risky in terms of chronic pain
In this example, changing the nose looked better than changing the chin. Changing the chin isn’t always the solution, the projection of her chin was already perfect, in line with her lips.
She is so different and I find that attractive. She looks weird after in my opinion, and I like her nose. Especially now in modeling, they're looking at our differences. It's what makes us human.
u fricking pull the entire jaw forward, u end up needing to fix the forehead. u see her forehead looks recessed. also, double jaw surgery has likelihood of reversion, while a rhinoplasty does not. and double jaw surgery is way more risky!
Mind you, some Asians have foreheads, chins and noses ending perfectly in the same vertical line, but they still complain about their faces being too flat. People always find a way of being unsatisfied.
Rhinoplasty is not less risky, but I agree with your other points. I’ve had both rhinoplasty and double jaw surgery - the rhinoplasty was worse by FAR and has scarier risks
@@dcbdafbngdnonly the maxilla and jaw didn’t have enough projection. notice how the chin still goes past the lips. her chin isn’t really what’s under developed. That’s what the video doesn’t explain, if they gave her only a chin implant she would look weird.

Noses can be large or disproportionate even if the chin is corrected...and the chin after fixed looks harsh...noses have their own proportions that look pleasing or not Chin jaw adjustment is MAJOR! Complex and can be set up for chronic pain afterwards
@@GiovannaIwishyouif we are talking about the first girl, her nose is really big tho ( from the side of course). 80% of the population don't have a nose that long.
She was already GORGEOUS beforehand, and there's never anything "wrong" with how someone's face looks, the standards we hold people to to have a "perfect" face are wrong
I feel like people with “recessed chins” tend to look more youthful. Like many people with baby faces tend to have a not so strong jawline/chin which makes them look young because if they had a more forward chin and stronger jawline their youthful look would lessen and they’d look less cute and more mature looking. One’s neotenous features sum a lot of their beauty especially for women
Recessed chins tend to not look good once a person ages and puts on weight (as many people do from the 50s onwards) and their facial fat and skin sags. They'll start to look like their face melts into their neck, which isn't really a good look.
A slightly recessed chin CAN look ok mainly only on women. But a moderately to severely recessed chin does not look good on anybody. Not to mention that a recessed chin is quite literally a medical problem that causes issues with function. Also recessed chin faces do NOT age well, because you need a good foundation (bone structure) because a good bone structure will hold up loose skin as you age, making the sagging and wrinkling less prominent. When you have a recessed chin, you do not have that bone structure that will stop loose skin from sagging as you age. Excess facial fat can make you age well but excess baby fat does not correlate with a recessed chin. A slightly recessed chin usually isn’t a big deal and will not usually significantly affect attractiveness, but that’s in mild cases. At any point where a recessed chin is noticeably recessed, it will take a hit to facial attractiveness. And I’m not saying a recessed chin automatically makes them ugly, but it does takes hit to facial harmony. Also women having a more rounded and soft bone structure with higher facial fat is what gives a neotenous feminine look, not a recessed chin.
@@Noradory you seem confused between a soft jawline and a recessed chin. I would never want a recessed chin as it usually is a symptom of an underbite, my sister had it and it had to be corrected via braces as it wouldve caused so many issues along the line aside from jowls, like crowding, cavities and difficulties with sleep apnea to name a few. I think a lot of people are taking this video the wrong way, of course as individuals the creators will have personal preferences on how people look. I do agree that projecting these preferences as standards is harmful, but this video is mainly for those considering surgery. @@johnmacaroni105 ???
@@murozmanWell technically speaking forward maxilla growth isn’t inherently masculine in fact it’s usually considered attractive because it’s indicative of better orthodontic health (for both genders). Also many female models have defined jawlines but it’s all about facial harmony. I think the girl looks fine either way though.
People spend too much money on handbags and cars to try look cool. If you're going to spend money do it correctly, thoughtfully and for the long term positive outcomes.
Don't think small and cheap.
These aren't beauty standards and you don't have to do this. You can still be pretty without having to be prettier.
@@CeasefireNow2024I’m sorry but what do you mean? I don’t understand what are you are talking about. You can read other comments that explain better than me but my point is that moving the jaw forward surgically is very dangerous and expensive. Definitely not worth the risk. People usually choose to have a nose job because it is relatively safe.

I always just write in my own caveat that says images that show any identifying characteristics can only be used for treatment purposes.

Less conventionally attractive people get treated worse and are viewed as less friendly, less likeable and less competent. The pretty privilege is real. If you really are objectively ugly there should be an option to change that. Saying everyone is beautiful in their own way doesn't help and is sadly wrong
@@namenloserflo I always considered more attractive people to be less friendly actually. If we're generalizing.

Wow, feeling the implant, how uncomfortable...Thank you for pointing that out.
I wish we could live in a world where we can be unique and not clones
Bruh go outside. Everyone looks different

@@Tfog711 yes no doubt people are treated differently but it’s because everyone wants to look the same
In a world that profits from your insecurities, loving yourself is a rebellious act.
You can get a jaw implant instead of getting genioplasty
just a bimax needed.
Dermal fillers can fix a weak chin/jawline with the same, but immediate results and there’s no down time.
bro has never heard of mewing
You can fix your chin by filer injection easiest way
In this example, changing the nose looked better than changing the chin.
Just change the hole girl like she was a robot😅
Mind you, some Asians have foreheads, chins and noses ending perfectly in the same vertical line, but they still complain about their faces being too flat. People always find a way of being unsatisfied.
Rhinoplasty is not less risky, but I agree with your other points. I’ve had both rhinoplasty and double jaw surgery - the rhinoplasty was worse by FAR and has scarier risks
There is no problem to solve! She is already beautiful.

Exactly! I prefer her on the before picture. She looks like a little elf
