      Yes she is gorgeous as is. And I find her nose beautiful, I would never consider that big at all.
      She looks good after the edit too but I prefer before. The change in the chin gave her a slightly harsher, more angry look but I understand it makes her look more like your conventional model since they tend to have stronger jaws.

  • @stefanoperegrini9286
    @stefanoperegrini9286 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +11914

    In the edit they pulled out the freaking maxilla, not just the chin. And that is actually one of the most difficult things to change. You can get chronic pain for life and it's not recommended for everyone. Usually it is for severe cases to improve functionality of dental oclusion and life quality. This is not realistic for 99% of people. Hopefully you can redo this with a more conservative edit in a longer video.

    • @SY-ok2dq
      @SY-ok2dq 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +444

      Exactly. Maxillofacial surgery is complicated, and takes more time in surgery, and involves CUTTING INTO JAW BONES. It's this last part which can cause complications and which is very tricky to do correctly.
      If it does not go well, it can result is SEVERE pain and other problems.
      Also, healing time is far longer than other facial surgeries.
      In comparison, nose surgery is one the easiest surgeries, depending on what is done. Downtime for healing is a lot shorter than jaw surgery, and complications generally far fewer and less severe (especially for the 1st surgery - complications can arise with later revision surgeries to the nose).
      Nose surgery is a lot cheaper than maxillofacial surgery, making it more of a realistic choice for many people.

    So I’m an artist, and one issue artists face when doing portraits is “same face syndrome,” where every face you draw has the same proportions. That’s what I feel like plastic surgery is trying to accomplish- people who all want to take away their unique features so they can look like stereotypical models A, B, or C.

    • @Thesamurai1999

      @@Thesamurai1999 really? Plastic surgeries are so appalling, like the fact that people opt for the same exact facial feature to get rid of their authentic selves (with no option of going back) just is purely horrid 💀 and it’s not smart because stereotypical models A, B or C are _forever_ deprived from the “attractive” trait since they don’t stand out at all and their beauty is so accessible since it’s doctor’s creation and will soon dominate the planet and there is never an “undo button” lmao. Glowups on the other hand? Super attractive.

How often do we find something beautiful about someone and we will never let them know. Even strangers in the streets... i was also feeling like you as a teenager, growing up looking at the media.... later i realised that there is absolutely nothing wrong with me. I had a chin implant and it was one of the biggest regrets of my life. I let shit like this and other things online bother me, was self conscious and depressed for years. But it felt and looked so unnatural. Even from award winning surgeons, you can't trust them. Now I have a scar under my chin to remind me and hair doesn't grow there, but luckily with the beard I've opted to grow it just covers it with enough length.

    I feel like people with “recessed chins” tend to look more youthful. Like many people with baby faces tend to have a not so strong jawline/chin which makes them look young because if they had a more forward chin and stronger jawline their youthful look would lessen and they’d look less cute and more mature looking. One’s neotenous features sum a lot of their beauty especially for women

    • @SY-ok2dq
      @SY-ok2dq 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +10

      Recessed chins tend to not look good once a person ages and puts on weight (as many people do from the 50s onwards) and their facial fat and skin sags. They'll start to look like their face melts into their neck, which isn't really a good look.

    • @chandleryoung9515
      @chandleryoung9515 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

      A slightly recessed chin CAN look ok mainly only on women. But a moderately to severely recessed chin does not look good on anybody. Not to mention that a recessed chin is quite literally a medical problem that causes issues with function. Also recessed chin faces do NOT age well, because you need a good foundation (bone structure) because a good bone structure will hold up loose skin as you age, making the sagging and wrinkling less prominent.
      When you have a recessed chin, you do not have that bone structure that will stop loose skin from sagging as you age. Excess facial fat can make you age well but excess baby fat does not correlate with a recessed chin. A slightly recessed chin usually isn’t a big deal and will not usually significantly affect attractiveness, but that’s in mild cases. At any point where a recessed chin is noticeably recessed, it will take a hit to facial attractiveness. And I’m not saying a recessed chin automatically makes them ugly, but it does takes hit to facial harmony. Also women having a more rounded and soft bone structure with higher facial fat is what gives a neotenous feminine look, not a recessed chin.

      @@Noradory you seem confused between a soft jawline and a recessed chin. I would never want a recessed chin as it usually is a symptom of an underbite, my sister had it and it had to be corrected via braces as it wouldve caused so many issues along the line aside from jowls, like crowding, cavities and difficulties with sleep apnea to name a few. Tbh the after picture doesn't look masculine, her nose and jaw just seem to line up more
