Hello thank you for sharing. I love the scraper method, I will use it on a second hand table that I bought. Could you let me know where I can find your homemade chalk paint recipe please? Thank you
All the methods worked great! My favorite is the"scraper" method. It's just the look I'm trying to produce on the pool sign I'm making for some friends. Thank you for the idea!
Salt & scraper. Love all kinds of painting techniques. I love to paint & love old wood. Signs have always been my passion since I'm a sign painter I have used all kinds of materials. You are awesome! Great sign maker!!
They all look great. I'm a perfectionist with anything that I make to sell and it's a 'curse'. It's taken the joy away from making things to sell, because I strive for perfection....but, I'm moving into the rustic, farmhouse style genre because it doesn't matter if something doesn't have a perfect finish. Perfection is impossible, we're just creating unnecessary stress trying to achieve it. I don't want to distress something so much that it looks like it needs painting again, but I'm happier with the thought of distressing a little x
Yes! The salt method and the scraper method, that is the fist time I ever seen it done, liked them all, but the fist 2 were my favorite. Thank you for creativity cant wati to try it
What an excellent video!! I’ve watched so many ways to antique wood, and by far this is the best one I’ve come across for the projects I want to do! The salt technique is my favorite and one I’ve never come across before. Thank you! ❣️
I had already seen and tried a couple of these but I had not seen the salt method in such detail. I really loved the way you broke all four methods down so simply. Thanks loads.

Salt and scraper! I bought an antique cabinet and it looks like both of those methods. I have a new piece I got and wanted to try to recreate those looks on it to match the cabinet. Thanks for this!
The salt method is my favorite and my second favorite is the scraper method. All of them turned out awesome. Thank you so much for sharing and teaching us how to do this the correct way.
Scraper was my favorite. I have a ton of scrap wood from my husband building a swing. Might have to go dig through and get me some pieces to play with.
I liked two. First, the scraper. Instant aging. I also thought it looked good unsanded as well as sanded. Second, the salt. Messy, but gave a nice chippy look. Thank you for sharing these techniques.
I personally really like the salt and the scrapper. I can’t decide between the two, but I am trying to distress an already dark stained cabinet. I think I will use the scrapper method. Thank you for your time to share with us all the different techniques.
