How amazing is it that the line "just another crowd we need a gathering instead" was written by a teenager
One of the most insightful lyrics of all time

I think you dudes would really like Against All Authority. "Killing the Truth" or "All Fall Down" would be a great place to start.

I love it. So much of my misspent youth and bad choices were made to the soundtrack of Operation Ivy. Lolol

I bought this when I was 12 in '96. i loved it. listened to that album almost every day.
That said, I think bands like this are tough to get into at a later age. You can't really just jump into a band like this in your 30s or 40s and it resonate. They need to be experienced at an early point in a person's musical timeline; when they do, it's typically a lifechanging moment, and their enjoyment becomes more of a nostalgic thing over time.

Though I agree with you, it’s different for every generation to find the music that resonates with them and their generation. This sounds old to probably most Gen Z ha Just unfortunate for those who didn’t grow up with Operation Ivy 🤘

@@shredhead4604 I was born in 93 and discovered op ivy around 05. I think punk kids will always be open to coarse, aggressive music lol

@@shredhead4604 Yeah you're right, and I should've clarified that. Didn't mean that as a knock on Op Ivy or anything. Certainly only speaking for myself :)

One of my favorite Op Ivy songs. Try "Vulnerability"!

These guys were 18!!! They lyrics are poetry most people can’t understand at 50 let alone 18. You guys will keep getting my views on punk vids so I can yell at the screen about the bald guy just doesn’t LoVE this…and Rancid…

Hell no bruh. This man thinks a song is repetitive when a chorus pops up twice, he’s gonna hate Unity. He literally called this repetitive.

Haha, well, it's coming up on the request list, so Chuck is just gonna have to suffer lmao
      I'm digging these guys.

Omg Playlist? And by judging his expression throughout the song I was for sure thinking he was gonna shit on it big time! You can see in the beginning of the song the second the voice comes in he made a grimmes smirk face real quick and subtle like lol I was like ohhh yea his voice is like nails on the chalkboard to Chuck lol The best part is watching Joel right next to him just blissfully enjoying ever second of it! I love this song ! Top 3 song in Op Ivys Discography of 1 full Album lol

This is such a great band I don't understand how anybody couldn't like it. Besides the fact that Matt Freeman is one of the most underrated bass players out there

Besides the fact that the lyrics actually means something in every one of their songs. Man real punk and ska had a purpose for their time

I never realized it until, now but the sound quality isn’t the best. Also, Matt is a great bassist.
