Streetlight live is absolutely the best version of them. They play the HELL out of these songs and it’s just like, a massive all of sound and energy rolling over you.
I am a jersey girl, their hometown... moved to Toronto a few years ago... flying home to Jersey at the end of the month for their 20th birthday.... one of the best bands live.
i'm from jersey as well. but i've never seen them play there. i've seen them one time in philly at i want to say the old electric factory, but i might be mistaken about that. and another time in nashville, and they absolutely smashed that show in nashville. that one is probably in my top 3 shows ever. for context, my favorite show ever was the summer nationals tour in 2014 with the offspring celebrating the 20th anniversary of "smash", with the lineup from the original tour in '94 - the vandals, bad religion, pennywise, and the offspring.
If they ever play a show near you I highly highly recommend being there to see them play in person. This performance captures the essence but doesn't do justice to the energy in the club when they're playing. It's hard to describe.
Yessss Thankyou for reacting the energy, the singer with his guitar, the horn also singer Thank you for reacting the bass player, he is lit 🔥 And also the drum is pushing hard
I just wonder if they had a discussion before they went on stage: "Alright, we're playing live, kick the tempo up 15%!". That's the only problem with hearing the live version first is the studio version sounds slow, even though it goes a lively pace 😅
The band puts on the best live performance I’ve ever seen. Tighter then Fort Knox. The horns are tight and punchy as hell. The drummer and bassist are killing themselves constantly. This is not Ska, this is something totally different.
The saxophonist that had a solo... let's all just admit that that dude definitely got laid after the show. That shit was absolutely fire, just nonstop sonic goodness.
If you wanna see how many of the songs are formed I'd recommend checking out Toh Kay which is the singers side/solo project. He's singing streetlight songs how he wrote them where he hums/sings the horn lines which is how he brings the songs to the band.
Oh, man, Streetlight is so amazing!
RIP, Matt Stewart (the trumpet player)
the black one
@@JamesHoffa1 He's playing in Valhalla now. A legend among legends.
He was an amazing horn player. I remember when they posted it on their IG. Sucked! RIP!

Fun fact: All Streetlight Manifesto songs are actually written acoustically by Tomas(singer) first, then they're transformed into Streetlight songs.
He's impressive. I read he sings the horn parts to the horn players to tell them what he wants lol
I think I've seen them 7 or 8 times live. Always an amazing experience!
I wonder if the irony of my last request hit them. “Would You Be Impressed?” Apparently the answer is Yes!

And and and they are in the middle of finishing a new albummmmmm and to us old school long time fans that's a big deal ❤❤❤
I'm so fucking excited. I actually mainly listen to rap but these guys are my favorite band of all time.

Best live band I’ve seen in the last ten years🧐😉🫡👍🙏✌️

10/10 seeing them at the norva
The singer/guitarist writes all the parts on an acoustic guitar.
the keys of good ska are the bass and drums cook. thatcher is an amazing drummer and fills so much space on the low end

See them live if you can! I am on round 10! And wish I saw them more! Streetlight is amazing!
Love streetlight. Being a bass player I def listen for him. He’s going crazy. Have seen them live. They opened for RBF but stole the show

I just want to see an orchestra's approach to this song!!!

You should also check out their fearless live version of “here’s to life” it really showcases them a lot more.
Everybody, I'd appreciate it if we all took a knee for a second to pay respects to that poor trombonist. That man died for our musical sins
Trumpet player Matt
RIP black guy
I agree lol
