Almost 2 years later I finally get to start her under saddle training!

I have to be honest. I'd much rather watch a "boring video" of you training a horse properly than getting it to react and such for "excitement." I'd probably quit watching if you were doing that kind of stuff. I am here to watch you train these horses, see the growth over time and get a real feel of everything, not here to see things go wrong, or animals getting spooked. I'd much rather seem the succeed and do well, as they become more proper horses. :)
💯 agree!!
I agree too, in fact I have just stopped watching a horse channel that gave their videos dramatic titles when imo their was nothing much worth watching. CC’s videos are not boring, I enjoy seeing the training progress at a pace that the horse is comfortable with. It s wonderful to see her relationship to the horses and to hear what she is trying to achieve and how.
Ditto to both comments. It’s not “boring” to see patient owners help a horse remain calm and inquisitive and WANT to be involved rather than having no choice. Bravo CC as always 🙌
Exactly my thinking. Probably didn't say it quite that way before. I just enjoy all CC's videos bc she is a very competent horse woman that knows what she is doing.
I do agree with that somewhat However it’s a 1,000 pound animal u never know what’s going to happen and this is coming from someone who has had horses for 35 years
Another great instructional video for me. I had never seen the cinch technique. Makes SO much sense! CC, I think you nailed the editing. You gave us a feel for how long everything takes without boring us. Well done! I'm so glad that everything went so well today. : )
I think I shaved 6 extra minutes of diddle-daddling off after the two final edits. I hate being a bore😁
@@TheCleverCowgirlnever a bore👍🙏😊

I'm so proud of Scarlett!! She did a great job. CC you are amazing at horse training!!
To real work with a horse ist a very boring thing.. (and not against him....or make him "death in his brain" to force the horse to accept anything)
what a great truth...
There are a lot of horrible you Tube horse trainers...and people really believe thats it...thanks for this kind and good video!!
I really feel like Scarlet loves this training life. She just stands there willing and waiting for you. Watch she is going to be your best horse.
Love Scarlett's curiosity, smarts, and reasonable attitude when faced with new experiences. She really trusts you too. Your work with her is really paying off.
Your $25 horse is a wonder to behold! I could watch a curious horse interact with stuff for hours.
Montesorri Method, is what this session with Scarlet reminded me of. Customized, gauging to student's readiness, gentle pushing forward, observation-heavy, plenty of thinking it out, breaking it all down into little pieces, adjusting to response. Total respect. Every minute of this was wonderful to see.
You are the clever cowgirl for a reason.
Precious Scarlet has come a long way! She's so lucky she has found you...🥰
Scarlet the Velociraptor 😂 always testing the fences
Now every time I see her testing the fence I will have that mental picture in my mind
@@kiminalaska9363😂 Classic Jurassic Park
“Clever girl”
😂
For a wild child she has come a long way. She has been showing curiosity as opposed to fear which means her brain is involved. You’re doing great with her…
When Scarlet is eventually matured, trained and ready for a new home, these videos will be a treasury following her whole process of growing into the fine canny, confident mare she will be. A pleasure to watch her growing trust as she progresses.
I loved this comment ❤
I hadn’t thought of that but just imagine her new person getting to watch her growing up from a baby to a sassy teenager to a mature mare
I think Scarlet has a forever home with CC
@@QueenSweetheart : Could be, and I think CC’s connection with her will deepen as the training proceeds. But I think she is more likely to end up keeping Ziggy. We’ll see.
@@kiminalaska9363 : That was my thought too. I think it will help her new human understand her and form a connection more quickly than it would if her past was a blank. And it will help CC remember the whole story and cherish the best bits and milestones in what she and Scarlet are accomplishing together. Maybe someday CC will use these videos as part of a larger documentary or as teaching materials.
No reason to really tighten it down to max. This way she had no drama or trauma from her first experience. She did great. Nice calm learning experience for her, with a continued growth of confidence for her.
Never saw the trainning of saddle pad falling off the back of horse. Great idea!
Scarlet was such a “superstar” today during her training session!
The rate she’s been going is very impressive.
I can imagine that once she has matured she’ll be a beautiful mare with the abilities you want her to have.
I look forward to watching you and her in future videos!
Way to go Scarlett!!! She trusts you. Patience and observing, respecting her is paying off! Tiny is a tiny little supervisor! 🥰
Wow she is going to be a real asset for her future owner. I can see her with an experienced rider who wants a real partnership with an intelligent curious horse who is keen to do what is asked of her and will love the activities as much as the rider.
Scarlet is obviously a horse that needs to keep her mind busy ..she was so sweet and curious..brave girl!Thank you CC for being so kind and patient with her ..🥰
Oh, wow! Scarlett has developed into a smart, curious and BEAUtiful horse! Excellent job! She shows all the signs of becoming a wonderful riding horse for the right person. Hope your back gets better - take care of yourself.
I think it’s time to start her on pre-calculus. 😎💙
The big girl saddle is just around the corner!
Hilarious 😆
😂😂😂
Taking care of horses can hurt your back but having a day where all your work and patiences comes together priceless!! Congratulations CC !!! Such a beautiful session with your girl ❤
How you train can't be taught!!! Awesome just to see the connection with you and her...❤️
as a cowgirl myself: im so entertained by your videos, its not just a bunch of bullshit fluff- appreciate you
Scarlett grew up to be a gorgeous mare. I love her color and her spirit. You done GOOD when you took her in hand.
What a lovely mare...very smart and respnds well to your touch, voice and method of training. She is so fortunate to be in your care.
Such a calm, patient training session. Scarlet lucked out when she came to you 😊
Ziggy is such a sweet boy, he deserves a good horse pal. Maybe him and Pete will hit it off.
That was a great experience. I love that little filly. She has a wonderful spirit.
Scarlett Is A GODSEND!! She Maybe A Little On The WILD SIDE!! But The Clever Cowgirl Has It All Under Control!! You Have A Special Way With Horse's!! So Proud Of You!!
She really likes that blanket, she looked really pleased with herself wearing it 😊
Scarlet sure did survive with your love & compassion CC. She is learning & eventually you will be riding her. She is so beautiful & healthy.
Wow Scarlet makes this look easy. Just shows how effective your training is CC 👍👍💖💖
I’m so amazed at how calmly she dealt with the strap dangling from the cinch. Go Scarlet.
I LOVE how comfortable she is being curious. It shows the confidence and trust you instill. ❤
That was an awesome session with Scarlet! She did wonderfully! I'm looking forward to watching more of her training sessions! ❤
Your patience is wonderful! It really shows in how calm the little girl is.
Scarlet seems so calm. ❤
I love your gentle way of training horses.❤
Scarlet did so well! Taking time to do things at her own pace is working wonders.
Let Scarlet be a testament to reservation horses, they are some of the healthiest ponies. I am from the reservation and have two "rez" mares myself. They are tough as nails and always out-perform the fancy horses on our long ceremonial rides.
She's a clever girl. I love her curiosity.
It is fascinating to see how she follows your lead. A calm trainer equals a calm Scarlett. Amazing to see her blossoming.
She calmed down after the rope spooked her because of the carefule training & experience you give her. BTW she’s pretty.
Love this video! Scarlet is looking amazing and her progress is so cool to follow ❤
She did so well. She is such a beautiful mare.
That gangly, skinny lil' girl has blossomed into such a beauty!!! Her heart is bulges each time you come near and love on her! Wish we had more folks like you two around...we need to love each other more, don't we??? Thanks so much!! ❤❤❤
I love watching all of your training videos. You are so thoughtful with letting the horses pick the pace. I really hope your back continues to get better, CC ❤. And I hope that Ziggy finds his herd.
Thank you so much for posting. Scarlett is turning out to be such a good girl but with some sass.
She's a beautiful mover! This foundation will serve her well. She has a very bright future. ❤ gorgeous girl ❤
You do a wonderful job training all of your horses! Thank you for sharing Scarlett’s journey with us!😊
Omg, she's only two? Big girl!!!
And growing!
It is so funny how she has to check that pad everytime you take it away, lol
Scarlett is growing up into a beauty, body & mind. Thank you for sharing your teaching with us.❤
Scarlet is doing great. Love what you do. ❤
The trust you have built with her is beautiful, she is such a pretty horse and it is great to see her learning and being so relaxed about it.
Scarlett is so pretty. She looks a lot taller. She is amazingly smart.
I hope your back feels better.
Scarlet did SO well! What a good girl!
You show her more patience and kindness than some people to their own children. These horses are blessed to have you in their lives and it's really nice to see her being curious and eager for her lessons.
How wonderful to see Scarlet doing so well. I love how Tiny comes to remind you how close it’s getting to her feeding time, LOL. My own cat is very serious about it.
loved watching how you start your training. You are so patient and loving.
I think a lot of her reaction is due to the fact you took your time and gained her trust. She is gonna be a fabulous little girl for someone once she's fully trained.
Scarlet is so beautiful. What a good training session.
What a marvellous trainer you are.
Love how you went about being patient with Scarlett. Allowing her to be curious and checking things out . Taking your time with her. Scarlett did great. She is also a beauty. For only 2 and did as well as she did being her first time. Go Scarlett. What a wonderful girl you are. Honestly, I think she's going to turn out great. As well as gentle . But I do think to she's definitely going to want a lot of attention from who ever ends up with her. Yes she's definitely going to be a wonderful addition to someone's home one day , all because of you . If you end up selling her when you finally get her trained . Your going to be given, well selling lol , someone a wonderful horse. All due to your love , caring , patience and understanding of her . Your a wonder girl. That was just an awesome session. Much love and respect to you. ❤
Love the way after shes run around she comes towards you to see like did i do well mum❤❤❤❤bless her❤❤❤❤
What a good girl, Scarlett was scared but she still trusts you and that is a beautiful thing to watch ❤❤
Most Mustangs that I watch being tamed are very afraid of anything above them. So teaching them to loose their fear, trainers climb up on a fence and sit while holding the lead rope. It can take a bit to accept that they are safe. Predators hunt from above so that fear is a real thing. This young one may not be too reactive because you rescued her while she was young. Interesting to watch her and how she has learned to trust you. Especially around her face!
For a training video, I found this very relaxing. Calmed ME down after a stressful day. You are so quiet and patient and Scarlett reflected this perfectly. ⚘️
She has done so well. ❤
Scarlet is very curious, I think she enjoys the attention.
Your training skills and patience are awesome!
She seems like a really smart girl that will be a great horse for someone who will spend a lot of time with her.
That went really well. Good job Scarlet, and your patience is paying off.
She is such a bright and brave girl.
Good ob
Good Job. All of your previous compassionate work with her has paid off!! I loved this video. I am sorry about your back CC. I hope the icing helps. How's Skeletor doing? Much love and appreciation! Oh, no, Ziggy doesn't feel comfortable with his new herd? Namaste' CC
It's helpful that the lovely Scarlett is so curious and that you give her the time to learn to trust you!
She's absolutely gorgeous! She seems really smart and she trusts you. Maybe she also has been watching you work the other horses and that helped her be more calm. I know next to nothing about horses but have experience with other animals and they can learn from each other.
I think she's beautiful! Her build and confirmation is near perfect from what I can tell. She's so strong and powerful looking. Gorgeous young mare. I love how receptive she is to learning. Such a good girl.
Don’t know why I’m watching this, but I find it fascinating as well as relaxing. You definitely have the gift to get inside these animals’ minds and your calm reassuring personality is what makes all the difference.
She handled this beautifully! Well done, Scarlet!
I absolutely love watching CC working with her herd. Everything she does is catered to the individual horse and their personality/needs. It’s like Waldorf Schooling for horses…catering to the individual not the ridged conformity that can be the standards for so many. The results are just better because the mind is not shattered by unrealistic expectations.
This is the sweetest video of Scarlet! It's probably one I have viewed at least 5 times!!! She is just so appealing and you see how very pleased she is with all your are doing, loving all the one-on-one attention!
Thank you so much for keeping us going...it's the perfect companion for a quiet breakfast! 😁👌❤❤❤
Laughing so hard at the thumbnail. My gelding is the same way. Will he survive? He's done it a million times, this time will probably kill him. Terrifying. 😂 patience with horses like that is a skill
Oh, Scarlet did so good and seemed like this was no big deal. You sure know how to bring the best out of each of your horses.
I truly do love watching the training videos, Scarlet was an absolute star today. Thank you CC! 💫
The process you are doing, of a reach and withdraw process and time, seems to be adding up to more of an understanding of why quite a few horses are showing signs of being reactive or protesting. They probably were pushed-past chances to understand and accept stages, and then end up with a series of not-quite-right areas. Appreciate your showing us what it takes "in real time" to create a calm and interested horse. A lot of "licking and chewing", she was really actively processing data. Thank you, and watching how you keep working with herd dynamics.
Another learning video I enjoyed watching! Scarlet is coming along beautifully, what a difference!
She is really starting to trust you. You've a good growing bond with her
She did so well. She knows she can trust you. Kindness works wonders.
Scarlet is wonderful! So fun watching her progression
Hi Clever.
Scarlett is doing well. Little movements. Calm. Patience.
Self awareness of the rope, event hough she scrimmage around it. She solved her own dilemma.
A wonderful student❤❤❤❤❤
This session was very enjoyable. Beautiful Scarlet.
Look at Scarlet go! She is really amazing, curious, brave, trusting when it counts. She knows you will go slowly and patiently.
Good job with Scarlet! 🤎🤎🤎🤍💜💜💜
What a Good Girl - trying for you so well xxx
wow! Good girl!!!!!
Scarlett has such an amazing bond with you. It's beautiful to see her trust in you❤
Scarlet is beautiful and she is so smart. I love her curiosity and how she investigates everything! ❤❤
This was wonderful to watch! Your patience and responsiveness to Scarlett’s state of mind made it possible for her to stay in a curious and even fun zone, expanding her trust, rather than pushing her into just submitting and losing trust. I’m not a horse person but as a child psychiatrist I really enjoy watching your horse parenting skills at work! 🥰❤️❤️
I agree. I see so much crossover between her training methods and the best way to teach young humans. 😁. I think this would be interesting to watch/discuss in a class for future teachers - especially those who want to work with kids with special needs.
Great training session with scarlet she is handling her training just beautifully and excepting well what you are asking of her. Very athletic conformation can't wait to see you riding her 2 years down the road when she gets more muscles and balance.
Thanks for sharing Scarlets training with us
That was amazing! Who would have thought the wild $25 horse would be so calm! She's beautiful too.
