Kerr came in and I was not old enough to know any of the former Bulls players, I honestly thought he looked kinda wimpy and didn't expect anything from him, my dad was like watch this guy, he is a deadly shooter if left open. History made, man Kerr had been one of my favorite bench guys since this game and now he coached my favorite team the Warriors to an NBA championship! Man I love this guy!

Coach Pop always understood how important the team (the *entire* team) is - and he also managed to make the Spurs *truely* embrace that concept. That's why the Spurs seemingly have such a "deep bench" - because Pop gives everybody a chance to shine where other coaches only see "benchwarmers" and continue to almost exclusively play around their star players.

I remembered Steve Kerr as being a part of our championship teams during the 2nd 3-peat but he was used very sparingly his final year I often forgot he was still on the Spurs. This game seemed absolutely hopeless for San Antonio, it felt like a game 7 vs Dallas a guarantee. Steve Kerr came in outta nowhere and completely swung this game in the Spurs favor with his unexpected barrage of 3's in the 4th. There weren't many dynasty era Bulls left in the NBA by this point so it was pretty cool for me to see Kerr shine in such a big spot 5 years after the Last Dance showing he still had the marksmanship he was always known for.
Even though the Spurs played slow back then, I never understood why people thought they were boring. Young Manu was as exciting as anyone during this stretch.

I know it's a tricky situation because both players are lethal from beyond the arc and San Antonio during this time had the best ball movement I've ever seen from any team, but leaving Steve Kerr wide open there, especially after he hit 2 3's in the past couple of minutes, is mind-blowing. After that at @4:49 Steve Nash lost his mind, and left Steve Kerr wide open to attempt to steal the ball from Tim Duncan. Not only was the idea of trying to steal it from Tim there stupid but that was the weakest attempt at a steal I've seen in quite sometime. For whatever reason, as a basketball fan, I had to get that off my chest. That being said, epic comeback and performance by an aging Steve Kerr to send his team to the Finals.
