Honestly, Chris was partially the reason I decided my battlevest after so many years of just having the Norwegian flag, a poorly self made Dio patch and the Darkthrone logo painted on the back.
I think megadeth is gonna have a comeback. dystopia is a really solid thrash album

Damn, I want to make a battle vest now. Which sucks because I don't know very many bands and it looks expensive at shit and I'm not old enough to have a job.
wolf pack winter The beauty of it is that you can start as small as you need to and just work on it over time. By the time you have a few, you can just space them out. Don't worry about not knowing too many bands, either. Just make sure the bands you know so far are worthy of being on the vest. If you love the band, the patch is a keeper. If you kinda like the band, either wait until they grow on you or don't put the patch on at all.

It really isn't expensive, as I mentioned you can find denim dirt cheap at thrift shops. Patches are cheap too and you can find them on ebay for dirt cheap, Carlos put it perfectly - just patch the bands that you know so far of being worthy enough of being on the vest. Half the joy of the jacket is watching it grow over the years!

There are patches which are not "band printed" but still looks metal. I sewed them to my denim jacket and they're really cheap (20 pieces-1.99$). I can share a photo of it if you want.

Another great place to find patches is eBay; I've gotten close to 90% of my patches off there and you can get a ton for literally dirt cheap and the selection and variety is unlike anywhere else I've come across. Record stores and rock-themed clothing shops are good too

HAVOK needs more recognition !! They've been in the game for 10 years now and I've been to 2 of there shows seen multiple videos and people just stare at them or just mosh a little and quit. Idk if they stare because there not into it or there brains have been fried because how awesome they are. All I know is Havok is awesome and I have the same patch for my vest. Beyond Creation! My friend Forest plays bass in that band (and a few other bands too) and he is just my fav bass player in metal nowadays. Ive always been a bass enthusiast. Although I never learned to play properly, i was always into bands who have a bass player out of the ordinary. I especially love Primus and everything Les Claypool ever did

The Cannibal Corpse patch you have was the first one I ever got! Asked my mum for a denim jacket for patching one birthday a long time ago and there was a little metal shop called Ampwitch in town that sold denim and she picked that Cannibal patch to go with it! I'm now (with her help) doing my 3rd jacket cus I ended up with too many patches and not enough space for them or any others I wanted, some say I have a patch buying addiction but I can stop getting them when ever I want to. Love the jacket dude, wish you didn't live so far away haha I'd love to have a beer with ya!

You mentioned TSOP by Death, my favorite death metal album of all time! The first time I had ever even heard of Death I was at Target (of all places) and I found the reissue version and I thought it was a cool name for an album. I quickly took a picture of it bc I was broke at the time and when I got home I listened to it in it's entirety. Aaaaand let me say I was absolutely blown away at it. A couple of years later I now can say I have it on vinyl, the reissue version, AND the original CD! And great stuff on your jacket dude! I'm looking to begin mine real soon as well see Anthrax and Testament for the first time next week!🤘

Awesome Battlevest!! I just started my vest about 2 months ago and I have whole front covered and 2 patches on the back. Just recently showed off my vest at the Carolina Rebellion festival and a random guy during Amon Amarth who is in a local Death metal band called Cut the Architects Hand and gave me a free CD with a patch. They must be good because they are opening for Suffocation for a show. Love battle vests. Most of my patches are from a local record store but my Testament Brotherhood of the snake came from their show and the rest came from Amazon.

Finland has a similar thing, but it's not meant for metalheads, it's meant for kids who go to an university for applied sciences. Through the school we go to, we can order a pair of overalls, and then attending the school's social events and parties and winning contests we get badges which we can sew onto our overalls. Some also sew other badges on them or make their own badges. Different fields of study have different colored overalls. It's a tradition to wear your overalls every Vappu. To see how they look like, google (image search) "teekkarihaalarit". The hat you see in some of the pictures is our graduation hat from high school (the one without the tassel) or vocational school (the one with the tassel), also a traditional piece of clothing worn on Vappu.

Hey man thanks you inspired me to create my own battle vest over the course of the last year. I had acquired several patches over the years with the intent of eventually replacing a vest I lost when I moved. I finally finished it in like April. I could not find an Evile patch anywhere unfortunately.
