      Not to mention Phanteks sells replacement mesh panels/side panels so you can make your normal p400 to a p400a. Not to mention the extra HDD bays in the front. As soon as I realised >p400 and above had that I immediately switched from the p300a haha

    I've had this case for a while and I can honestly say it's a great deal period. As a beginner PC Builder and gamer it was; cheap, affordable, and help me get good airflow while on a budget, while not sacrificing looks plus the phanteks software works with quite a few other companies software.

    I love these low-to-mid-price reviews, because this is where the attention to detail really makes sense... If people are buying a stupidly expensive case, they have the money to buy whatever they need and often go with custom cooling. If people buy crazy cheap cases, they know it's not gonna be great! This segment is where it all comes down to the performance for me.
    With that, I'd love to see the Coolermaster Masterbox MB511 RGB (the one with the mesh front) under review by GN. I think they did the non-mesh one at some point, but can't find the video. Seems like it might be able to compeet with this class of cases, and it's what's readily available in my region :P

    Bought the P360a after seing your review of the P300a for my Ryzen 5600x build with an Hyper 212, added a pack of 3x fans from phantek for 40 CAD$, perfect pricing, works great, super silent, the 3 extra fans servir as exhaust (back and top) helps with hair flow and cooling the tower heatsink for the CPU. Great case, looks great with 5 RGB fans.

    Upgraded my main system which pushed my 2700x down and pushed a 1600AF into my 3yr old's Minecraft rig. This case was perfect if you consider I wanted a cheap $50 case but also some color to it. It gets expensive buying ultra cheap case and then adding RGB later. This was not only a great well designed case but it hit all the marks for $20 over the super budget price range. Super clean. Love the well thought out features to route cables nice and clean. It easily hide an old non modular Antec power supply while installed a SSD & HDD in the drive bays. My budget tower cooler Vetroo V5 fan matched the front fans perfectly. I used it for the rear exhaust and put some Corsair SP120 in push/pull on the cooler. Love this build, the built in RGB mode/color buttons was pretty slick as well. One of my favorite cases not just in the budget category. Worth the $69.99 i paid a few weeks back. I could see myself buying the 500 RGB version for my primary system but I have no need atm to replace my full size fractal design case(and with a glass side panel then I would want to replace them ugly Noctua 140mm CPU cooler fans).

    • @Arashmickey
      @Arashmickey 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The P300A is an adorable case and I love medium form-factor PCs, but it's almost too small by 1-2mm height. A mobo with big top heatsinks can conflict with 27mm or thicker top fan, there's a surprising number of those by 140mm Arctic, Lian Li, Noiseblocker, Scythe, etc. z370 Strix and 29mm Noiseblocker E-loop barely fits for example.

    My P360A just came in the mail a few days ago. The main attraction over the P400A and P500A was actually the size. It's small enough to practically fit on anyone's desk, but it's large enough to still fit most people's hardware. I saw another reviewer fit an RTX 3090 in there. Of course, I also liked the mesh, RGB, and quality of life features included (especially the hole for GPU cables).

    Aesthetics of a case is important but the first thing I check is how the inside looks like. Phanteks P400S was a winner when I built my PC two years ago. I was very pleasantly surprised and is see this company as really competent case manufacturer for reasonable prices.

  • @Katopup87

    You should consider doing more Mini ITX case reviews. It's really hard to find dependable Mini ITX reviews as it seems like the airflow results of Mini ITX cases are all over the place when I try to research them online and often I will find reviews where they will disregard special functions of cases that help with air flow or assembly (rather by being oblivious to the case features or on purpose) and I can never get a consistent review. You have kind become one of the only dependable recourses for case reviews and I'm looking to downsize my computer in the near future.

    It's a great case, been using one since late last year with an extra matching fan installed for back exhaust and it gets the job done keeping my 5600x w/ stock cooler and triple fan 3070 at nominal temps, the case fans are quieter than my HDD when everything is under load. Really like the subdued aesthetic too, the front panel mesh does a surprisingly good job at keeping out big particles and cat hairs but fine dust still coats up inside which can be easily brushed/blown away.

    Just built in the P360A. It was pretty easy. Some of the cable managment is a bit tough though. Especially in the PSU area and if you don't have ribbon cables for your power supply. Im running a Taichi 5700xt mounted verticle and the temps, even on that card, are nice. Sit around 70ish under load. Bought a p300a and got a smashing deal on a 3-fan kit from Arctic - Couldn't be more satisfied - Noice levels are low as enough to keep the PC on my desk, and the case is small enough that it doens't look like a huge colossus.

    Thanks again for the review, already saw it but watching again 'cause I'm now looking for this type of cases. One very useful comment that I see missing about the cases that have an included hub or RGB fan controller is if they have or not an off mode. Almost all manufacturers list on their webs RGB modes and colors but nobody talk about the possibility to turn them off at a certain time (with that mode button), like when you go to sleep but need to let the PC on, for e.g.

    Just built a PC with this case. I would highly recommend. One of the easiest builds I have done this year. Good cable management, just requires that one extra fan at the back for a budget build. Mind you a RTX 3060 I used for this build, is not that budget now here in NZ.

    Good video! One potentially great competitor to the P360A I can think of is the Antec DF700 Flux. It’s an airflow case, and it’s $75-80 depending on the seller. It comes with 5 fans, one-upping the P360A and even the Lancool 215 you suggested as a competitor. I would love to see a review of the DF700 Flux to see how you think they stack up against each other!

    Can we request case reviews? I'd really like to see a Antec DF600 Flux review. Imo its the best Airflow/buck case atm. 5 case fans included. 3 front (RGB), 1x for gpu, 1x back. 80€ in europe, lots of space, argb controller.

    If I remember correctly the p360a also made the top mount for the radiator bigger, making it fit more rads on the top spot compared to the other phanteks case.

    Love my Phanteks ECLIPSE P400S Tempered with the optional high air-flow front panel. Added two top fans and a rear fan. Running cool with an overclocked Ryzen 5 3600 (air-cooled) and overclocked 5700 XT. Takes my 3 x SSDs and 2 x HDDs fine. Spares and accessories are available at very reasonable prices. It does need dusting out more frequently due to the high air-flow front panel allowing slightly more dust in but not a problem. Would buy it again.

    Yeah still running the original Phanteks Enthoo Pro ... the one with 2 acrylic windows, not tempered glass (which I actually prefer). overclocked 8600k and 3080 along with 4 drives. still does a great job. We recently upgraded the wifes machine and went back to a phanteks case as well. I am a fan.

    Some comments about this: The P360A is one of the very FEW cases around, that offers PWM-controlled case fans (although they're limited to 1300 rpm).
    In case of the top fan case mounting options, I agree with the space issue - its clashing with next to any ATX and mATX CPU power socket (tested with Arctic P14). One might be able to fit slim 140mm, eg. the Kaze Flex Slim. Regular 120mm should fit no matter their "depth", though I havent tested yet.
    My default idle spec for the case is currently at ~36° C, with Ryzen 7 3700X, GTX 1660 OC, both stock Phanteks 120 mm PWM in front, Arctic P12 PST in back, and another Arctic P12 PST as replacement for the stock CPU cooler fan. OS is Linux with a current Kubuntu 20.04 LTS installation and the proprietary nvidia GPU drivers. Thanks to Vivaldi / Chromium being crappily = non-optimized for nvidia GPUs, the accidentical torture tests resulted in a max temp of ~53° C.

    There is one thing that makes this case quite unique - if you are limited on the width of the case, this case has enough room to fit an AIO in the front together with nearly any graphics card on the market, and the width is 200mm, while still having great airflow. There is nothing else on the market that does this. All the other cases are wider or can't fit a large graphics card + AIO or have the front blocked off and pretty bad airflow.

    There is one thing that bothers me the most in current PC case market:
    WHY THE HECK EVERYBODY USES TG SIDE PANELS???
    I wanted solid panel, not a TG. And because of that, i had great difficulty finding at least ONE case, that isn´t cheap af.
    I don´t think i´m alone in this. But many of us went with TG only because they had no other choice.
    The manufacturers shouldn´t abandon cases with solid panels, only because those have lower sales.

    • @Laevoth
      @Laevoth 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What was the reason you wanted a solid side panel? Aesthetics only?

    • @Morpheus-pt3wq
      @Morpheus-pt3wq 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Laevoth I don´t care about aesthetics. It´s more about my personal choice, when it comes to PC cases.
      I also see an issue, that when TG breaks, it literally degrades into sand. It´s rare, but the sole reason it can happen is a big NO from me. I don´t want to either make a warranty claim for my case because of it (most likely denied in my country due to "mechanical damage"), pay for new glass from manufacturer (when it´s even possible, shipping is expensive af) or have to replace whole case because of it.
      Maybe i´m a dinosaur, but i don´t care.

    Upgraded my PC and chose this 360A I'd caution users that the top radiator mount will for sure require low profile RAM. Ended up having to front mount my 240 AIO because the corsair dominator RGB RAM is too tall. I think this actually hurts my airflow, but I haven't decided yet if I'm going to swap the RAM or try short fans.
