Only possible gripe I have with this type of cruise control is safety wise.. if I have it engaged and a car swerves in front of me, do I have to disengage it and then start braking? Or will pushing the throttle forward (unthrottle) disengage it? If in an emergency braking situation I want to be Able to respond
You can push the throttle forward to turn it off, it doesn't grip so tightly that you can't easily override it. I would say it's definitely a safety hazard and I wouldn't want to use it on a busy interstate for instance. I actually removed mine last month, found that I just rarely used it. It can be fiddly in hilly areas (which is where I live). For flatter terrain it works great.
Thanks. I was looking at these mainly as a way to relax my hand when it goes numb. I think it will do what I want.
