    Just picked up my throttle lock for a 2003 Yamaha FJR1300 from Touratech in Seattle. Played with the ATLAS display in the showroom and Touratech's staff were very informed on your product. Needless to say I purchased the unit and installed it in a hotel parking lot later that evening after watching you video. THANK YOU!!

    I've had the previous model.
    I found the paper instructions a little confusing.
    I'm thankful for your video ,it made it very clear how to install.

    If you live in KC:
    Step 1: Take your bike to Knobtown Motorcycle for installation.
    Step 2. Pay your service tech
    Step 3: Actually, get your bike back on the road.
    Thanks for watching

    Surprised, I had to use a 1 friction pad. My grips are pretty thick with the extra rubber pressing on the throttle lock pretty tightly. But seems to work quite well.

    Which kit I should buy for the ADV 350?

    • @ATLASMoto
      @ATLASMoto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Bottom Kit as long as you're not using Honda Heated grips! If you have the Honda heated grips, roll with the Top Kit. You need 3mm in between the grip and throttle housing for the ATLAS to fit.

    So these only work with rubber grips? I have Kuryakyn Isogrips (metal) and there is zero clearance between the grip and the housing.

    • @ATLASMoto
      @ATLASMoto  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It does work with a variety of non-rubber grips, including Kuryakyn ISO grips! You'll want to check out this video about that. th-cam.com/video/6MVl8LCKDNA/w-d-xo.html
      They are tight, however the metal portion of the grip can be pried over to make more space. Just take care not to scratch them!

    What if you use pad 1 and still don't have clearance?

    • @ATLASMoto
      @ATLASMoto  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depending on your motorcycle model, you can typically pull back the rubber grip a bit to make more room for the ATLAS. Let us know what you have and we'll help out!

    I've got an earlier model with different friction pads. The current pads I'm using don't work for more than a couple hours of use before they start slipping. It's a 2016 CB500X and the example you show in the video would be "B". There is maybe 1/8" of the pad that makes contact, and it takes a very thin pad. Will the new friction pads work with the older units? I want to like this thing, and when it works the way it's supposed to, I do, but it never works the way it's supposed to for very long. I also have one on my DR650 with the same problem.

      Hey! The new friction pads will work with all of the 2-button ATLAS throttle lock kits. It should work great on the CB500X and the DR650! Reach out to us at info@atlasthrottlelock.com for assistance!

    these instructions are ridiculous. Previous version didn't have a trillion steps

    • @ATLASMoto
      @ATLASMoto  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's because this version is intended to be more comprehensive. Previous versions of the installation video did not consider throttle housing types that are commonly run into, though we have some videos for specific motorcycles that point out special considerations. Many riders won't have to consider throttle housing types because their throttle housing is flat or otherwise doesn't have special characteristics, but many riders also have throttle housings with beveled sections and other such things, so we're trying to cover more bases by providing more knowledge. The actual installation is simple, but setting up the friction pad for some of the throttle housing types takes a bit of consideration and that's what we're trying to cover here. Hope that helps!

      @@ATLASMoto Ok. will try it on my Yamaha Raider

    • @ATLASMoto
      @ATLASMoto  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Let us know if you need any assistance! You can reach out to us at info@atlasmoto.com. We recommend the Top Kit ATLAS for most of the Raiders, because we see them with a throttle cable bracket that tends to be sticking out from under the throttle housing. This bracket can interfere with the Bottom Kit ATLAS by snagging on it. You can check your bike to see whether the bracket comes out from the bottom of the housing.
