You are truly an angel to these horses who if you would not have bought them to rehab they would have been 1 step closer to the slaughter pipeline and horse meat. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
All your horses have beautiful healthy coats. I enjoy watching you fluff through their hair. Speaks highly of your feeding program and how you're able to bring them back from the brink. A beautiful coat indicates good health. My green gelding (a registered quarter horse of three bars ancestry) had a major infestation of worms and almost died. So he was very much a skeleton too with a big belly. He was a bargain at 18 months for $400. Which is really no bargain considering all the money I had to spend on him to rehabilitate. Kudos to you for rehabbing so many horses at once. I don't know how you do it. ❤
Thank you so much for making playlists for Skeletor and Scarlet ❤ I can now retrace his journey with you again in sequence, instead of watching his videos in random order on your channel as I had been doing 🤣 If there a way to search your videos for Primrose, Studman (Stud Man? Stid-man?), Goose, Whiplash, etc? Or could you add their names to the descriptions? I'd like to go back and rewatch some of their stories, but can't figure out which horse is in what video. (Also, I am a librarian and think in terms of indexing 😆 after almost 30 years in the job, I can't help it 😂) PS - I have been sharing your channel with my friends. We all love animals & have pets 🐶🐱🐹🐤🐴🐢(including an 18 yo🐟!) and your videos are balm against the dumpster fire of world/national/local news 👍🏼
What you did for Skeletor was amazing. You gave him care, companionship, plenty to eat and he was able to shine. Now he is a star in the sky twinkling a THANK YOU to you for loving and believing in him. ❤ RIP Skeletor.
I am almost grief stricken over Skeletor's death. I am still crying. I can't imagine how that was for you....I am so sorry .......holding you close in my heart CC.. Namaste'
Really enjoyed watching your video. I’m in my 70’s and no longer ride. You bought a real winner with this horse. He looks fabulous after a season with you and I’m sure he’ll bring great joy to you and eventually learn his place in the herd. I’d be interested to learn what his D & A result would show. Well done you.
It's late September 2024. Skeletor has passed away from complications of disease/injury, and altho my heart breaks for your loss, I celebrate every precious day - all the sunlight, fresh air, and grassy smells - that you gave him. You're something else, lady and thank you for making the world better, one horse (cat, dog) at a time.
Thank you for saving this sweet boy's life! This video was wonderful! It really helps people see what goes into rescuing and rehabbing horses. His transformation from skin and bones to the healthy guy he is now is a testament to all your hard work and love! ❤
I came back to watch Skeletor's story again. What a transformation! He became a very beautiful and spirited horse. Thanks for all the hard work you do. ❤
Fabulous ! He has not only survived but he is thriving, flourishing and his coat is absolutely stunning. This is all because of you and the care you have given him ! Blessings !
Great job with him. I love how you gave him the time to flourish before you decided to do anything with the horse. He turned out beautiful. His body shape and coat looked fabulous
Just seeing how much this big guy went though and how far he had come is humbling. Im so glad you found and rescued him CC. He knew love and kindness in his short life because of you. Thank you for all you do. ❤
You are indeed, a Clever Cowgirl !! Thank you so much, for saving yet another needy neglected horse. You've done a wonderful job so far. I hope you're very very proud of yourself. He looks absolutely stunning. And what a lovely colour he is. But the main thing is, he's now healthy, happy, safe and loved. Lucky Skeletor, and lucky you. 😎😎
My Heart goes out to you I could not even watch his videos because I would cry, He was such a character I prayed for him!! I thank you so much for the life you gave him You are a special person I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS
He's gorgeous now...like a brand new copper penny. You know every time you save a horse you get a star in your crown. 👑I know you named him Skeletor...but, really...could he be something else now? Thanks for sharing his journey to health...and we look forward to the next journey to proper cow pony. 🤗
I love hearing someone else who is patient enough to let a horse mature mentally too before riding! So many people can't even wait for them to mature physically, much less mentally. Life is so much easier if they get plenty of time out with other horses (some horses are excellent trainers for youngsters) and I stick to some groundwork until they're both physically and mentally confident being a horse. I've rescued a lot of horses over the years and they all turned out to be really good horses, but you got a very special one here. I'm glad he found a home where his potential can be realized.
I did this back right before the covid lockdown. A local kill pen posts "last chance" videos for horses they feel can have a chance.. gentle, not too old, etc before shipping for that "European vacation". There was something so compelling about horse 0360.. I watched his video over a hundred times before thinking I've been out of this for 20 years.. I went on to Dobermans for economic reasons.. but I have the barn.. the acreage time and thanks to my kennel, the money. He obviously had been done right as a baby. Professionally trained. Fantastic disposition even after he was back in top condition. Loves children, super gentle even for my destroyed 65 year old body. I ride with no fear of silliness. And he is gorgeous. Looks to have some Impressive blood in him, he's super muscular. He was 4 days from being shipped. Doesn't it feel amazing to save such a worthy horse? Good job! You done him proud. I wish I could post my before and after pictures. It shocks everyone.
@@Dobiegal terrible. People should get better informed. Europeans have no idea. I thought the meat was from France or Poland. Horse meat is not popular in Germany at all. I guess it ends up in dog food. French butchers are buying unwanted sports horses in Germany and drive them to France for slaughter.
My sweet young lady! Thank you for taking a chance on Skeletor. He loves you! I cried to see how much you loved him and gave a second chance on life. Why can't we have more people like you in this world! Always kind, always loving. God Bless you my beautiful loving soul.🤠♥️🐎
He's so beautiful. I love that you kept the name Skeletor for him as he's a good reminder of that saved horses can become so beautiful and such good horses too.
Total congratulations on his stunning recovery (to date) from a dreadful starting point when you found him. To me he looks magnificent and it seems you think that there is more to come yet. I very much look forward to seeing and hearing about his progress. Well done and be very proud of your efforts to date. Dan
I grew up on a farm in North Dakota and we had horses. My sister showed her horses. I could watch these videos all day long. I live in the city now, so it's a reminder to me of the serenity I grew up with and may some day go back to. Thank you for helping these animals in need.
He's definitely got some good breeding in his background! So glad he got into the right hands that will ensure he has a bright future. I do wonder if he was somebodys baby at one time--he is just so people oriented!
I love 💕💕💕💕 the way that this horse was transformed from a sickly horse to a grand, majestic looking horse!! He is just a treasure to see!! Im glad that someone thought of him to take good care of him!! Bravo 👏👏👏👏!!
Love this story! I just purchased a skinny scabby gelding a month ago. He had no top line and you can only see ribs. Still dealing with a snotty nose and some swelling on the left back hind. I hope he turns out half as well as your boy, what a sweet skeletor!
Wunderschönes Pferd 🐴 ❤🥰✊🤎🎉 Vielen vielen Lieben 🫶 Herzlichen Dank für deine Hilfe und Rettung ✌️🐴😊💕💥 Gott beschütze Euch und Dich Wunderbares Pferd 🐴😘✨💫
So happy to see that someone is out there saving these horses. Twenty years ago I cared for a similar horse for a rescue who had bought him at a New England university auction - the college owned the horse! The university's horse manager's excuse was that it had been a very cold winter that year (she was correct), and all their auction horses had been outside all winter in one paddock far from their "good" horses. This horse was very submissive and wasn't allowed to eat by the other horses. The students who were paid to feed them didn't stay around to see what was happening. The thoroughbred was so very skinny, had a bloody, gaping hole in his chest that the vet decided was too large to stitch. I honestly was surprised to see Tequila still standing the day after the auction. I was so disgusted with the college that I almost called the local tv news to do a story about it. I took care of him for six months then the rescue found a permanent home for him.
Thank you for rescuing this guy. He is darling! And seems pretty level headed considering the condition he was in when you got him and not knowing what he has been through…pretty fella with a nice head and good hock flexion too. Thank you for caring for this guy and taking the time that you feel he needs to properly mature. 👍
This is one of the best rehab transformations that I have seen in a while thank you for saving this little guy congrats and have a awesome journey ahead with him
Thank you for sharing this with us, and saving this guys life. He is so handsome and it was a privilege to see him transform. I really hope we get to see him coming into work so we can follow him further.
Sweet Skeletor, I am so glad you saved him. He was loved and started out well, and he was loved and ended well. I saw part of a horse auction for Fresians and was shocked they were selling weanlings. Skeletor seems to have fit in this mold. I wish there was a way to find who abused him and prosecute them, he won all our hearts.💗♥️💕
OMG he's gorgeous !! Thank you for saving him. He turned out to be a looker. So sad people let him get that way . Love watching your videos your so calm and caring your awesome 🙂❤❤❤❤❤❤
"Skeletor" omfg that cracked me up. A lot of vet techs I know will give their temporary charges unfortunate names reflecting an initial condition or where they were found: Flea Bus, Poopmobile, Trash Bag, etc
Skeletor was a happy man and so well cared for. I am sad for his departure but so glad for his life with you. You did the right thing for the right reasons. Bless you

I am so sorry for your loss of Skeletor. You are a good pet mom who loved and cared for him. Like you said, he was kind of young at heart and mind, and more like a dog than a horse. All the more reason he needed your love, and he got it.
