just for you to know, a random apple pencil clone has all the features the new usb c pencil has + cheaper, idk why they removed the pressure sensitivity, it's the only reason to buy a genuine apple pencil

Hearing you guys describe Nintendo in such a nostalgic way is very weird to me because this was my childhood and I don't feel THAT old, only in my thirties. But it's interesting to be in a time where something so close to me is now seen as retro to a lot of kids these days.
do you still play video games? The jump in quality between games from back then to now is WILD, so it doesn’t surprise me that the nostalgia hits hard for the N64/Game Boy era. It truly felt like another time.
In my 30s as well. And I feel old since I’ve been playing games since Nintendo OG game out. I’m not ready to consider any of these consoles as retro tech haha 😂
Genesis and SNES were concurrent. Genesis was a generation after the NES and a generation before the N64. That whole conversation makes me feel old... lol
Marques answering "encryption" reminds me of my friend group's trivia. Question was what did the Earl of Sandwich invent during long gambling rounds at the table for easy snacking (or something). Friend answered "lunchables"
Don't forget that on mobile, if you swipe up from the scrub bar without lifting your finger, it lets you scrub deeper so you can more easily seek through individual seconds or even frames
Watching the crew, particularly David, going through mental gymnastics to try and justify an $80 basic stylus just because it has USB-C is hilarious. This podcast really is a comedy. A couple years ago I bought a cheap stylus for my iPad off Amazon for like $20 and even that thing had pressure sensitivity, and USB C. Just hearing David say they had to cut out engravings because that allows them to get the price as low as possible, when the thing still costs $80 is absolutely insane. Hopefully people vote with their wallet on this one, but its probably only in the lineup to make the other offerings seem more like a 'deal'.
@adam @ellis having a sound/tone come on with any of the reference images you guys put in would be super helpful. I’m usually doing something while watching and have the video on in the background - having a standardised cue as to when a related image is being shown makes it a lot easier to know when to engage my eyes
Marques has never played an N64....I don't understand how that's possible. But I do love that everybody else got hit with that nostalgia bomb so hard it immediately sent the podcast off the rails
In terms of the Apple Pencil I think it is important to note that arguably the main competitor to the Apple Pencil in the UK is the Logitech Crayon (in my experience). The crayon does not feature pressure sensitivity or does not fix magnetically to the iPad and costs £69.99 while the new base Apple Pencil is only £79.99. The university I work at features many students who use iPads (likely around 88+% in mathematics) and many use the Logitech crayon despite the fact it does not have pressure sensitivity given they only use the iPad for taking notes.
David’s wrong about N64 emulation, we’ve been able to emulate N64 games pretty effortlessly since the early 2010’s. Even Nintendo was able to emulate N64 better on older hardware, it’s just the switch that’s awful at it. There’s a TH-camr called Nerrel that went into this pretty indepth. I suggest anyone interested should check him out.
Earthworm Jim was a cartoon show not just a video game. It blows my mind that you guys are so young y'all are unfamiliar with stuff I grew up with. I am old 😂
Just to clarify for those interested in the Oneplus open, you don't even need to send in anything to get the $200 off, it is just a launch discount, not related at all to trade-ins
Reminiscing here. I had the see-through purple Gameboy Color. Left it on a dresser in a hotel room with an ant infestation, spent the next year watching ants crawl around inside while I slogged through Pokemon Yellow. Still have it somewhere around here...
Latest Apple Pencil release, think educational. In the school setting this would be preferred. Any student chasing art will invest in the other features. The features in this new release will help the average student with tasks in the classroom that a teacher would request. Others will see the value if they are just journaling/annotating. ~from a teacher’s perspective
You were here in SD for a tourney and I missed it?! Darn man, not even sure it was open to the public anyway, but I was looking for things to do this weekend.
You guys are such huge nerds speculating on what the voice button does and if you can do an impression of a creator, when it's obviously just the normal voice search 😂 Love you guys!
The audio toggle is something I've wanted for a while and would be amazing if it was added to streaming services. If there was an add on or app I can download on my android tv for audio leveling when the show I'm watching goes to an ad that would be really appreciated 👍

I can't believe Marques doesn't know what a N64 controller looks like! 🤯😂 For some reason I just thought he was a gamer, anyone else surprised? 🤣
Nope, he's not. He only really plays NBA 2K
Probably because he loves tech and it usually goes hand in hand with games

Star wars pod racing was without doubt my favorite game as a kid on my n64, even had the special controllers
I am so much older than Marques. Tell him about Perfect Dark; you had to add more RAM to the N64 before you could play. Good times
ACTUALLY: finite mass, infinite density (@ David) 1:09:31
I am only 33 years old but this is the first podcast that i actually wanted to be there to explain n 64, cause that is still my favourite console
Andrew had some bangers in this episode. Loving his humor 😂❤
N64 controller was everything, first analog stick and first trigger button.
god i hope Marquez tests the Analogue 3D (N64) on his channel. that would be siiiiiiick.
Live in SF and saw a CyberTruck two days earlier passing by and a Mustang chasing it. Looked alright to me.

Agreed. N64 will always be a favorite console of mine. It truly was WAY ahead of its time in regards to graphics.

There‘s 35 bucks third party pens with more features than the shitty new base line apple pen
I agree about the red light. A blinking red light and video recording have always been grouped together.
Earthworm Jim was on SNES, before the N64.

Hello Mkbhd..happy to see the new video again!
Marques went way down on my cool scale today! Lol
The Genesis came out around the same time as the SNES if I’m not mistaken
On the last trivia question about the N64 controller, I thought the answer was going to be expandable storage for whatever reason
It's wild to me that anyone in tech now would have no idea what an n64 controller looks like.
I mean it came out in 96, it wasn’t the biggest console at the time and quickly fell behind
@@toptiertech7291 That's definitely not true. N64 was a huge deal at the time and was around for quite a while.
I’m with Andrew on that last question 😂
Super Mario 64 and Pilotwings 64. Easy trivia this week! N64 will always be a favorite gaming era for me.
"Added to the controller" implies it was built in, not an external addon piece you could buy. I'm with Andrew, the question wasn't worded great
