BCR - I’m with you - although I have to admit in the past I did not always practice what I preached. With age and gray hair I have tried to do better.
I’ve been bringing my watches to the jeweler for batteries and repairs so this video was very helpful 👍
Thanks Tylonn. Each watch is a bit different but so far I have not had much trouble changing the batteries on about a dozen different watches. Some have case backs that screw off and others you have to pry off. Just takes a bit of practice.

Brian - the kit seems to be a good value for the price. Completely adequate for routine watch maintenance.
I have a Citizen watch that is over 25 years old and the capacitor/battery hasn't been changed. I did notice it lost time about a week ago when I left it face down for a while when wearing another watch. I left it in the window with good light a few days and it seems fine. I may change the battery anyways. I also have an old Hamilton gold watch from the 40's that belonged to my grandfather. It wouldn't wind and the crystal was cracked. I had a watchmaker repair it last summer and I wear it quite often.

I can’t stand jewelry of any kind including watches on myself it all feels restrictive to me for some reason probably some weird quirk I got lol, but I do love care and maintenance of intricate machines like watches.

pocket watches from the time of the railway stations Victorian times interesting how you manage to change the time and open the back of the pocket watch I used to have lots of these when I was a kid with chain never knew the value of these silver and gold or bankers bonds in £1,000

Just a suggestion……. easier if you would have unhooked the buckle side of the strap rather than the pin….also never a good idea to pickup a battery with metal tweezers…. Overall Good video 👍

Hi Scott, I took the old capacitor out without noting the position of the copper tab, is there a particular gap or recess where it is placed?
Frank afraid I’m not much help as I did the exact same thing. It was only through the magic of editing that it looked like I popped it right back in when in fact it took me many tries to get it seated properly.
Seriously? The battery is already out? We want to see all steps.
