Top quality products worth the price and investment
Bought a Citizen ecodrive "Skyhawk" with the Blue angels insignia on the back about 18 years ago and it still functions perfectly, also had a few people admiring it and asking where they could get one, one guy even offered me more than I paid for it but I had to turn him down.
I have a Skyhawk from 1997 that I bought new. Still running great. I've had people ask how expensive it is. I only paid like 467 for it and I believe MSRP was 650. They were surprised. My brother has a Breitling that he likes to talk about how much he paid for it. I just shake me head.
I got my first citizen in 2006, black leather strap white dial with Roman numerals.. so many people admired it.. a friend had 4,000 breitling and said my citizen looked far superior.. beautiful watch
Still have my Citizen wr 100 from 25 years ago. Still get compliments and requests on where to get one.

I have several too, I agree that they are good quality and good price point.
They're okay watches, but the blue Angles World Chrono and the Moon switch back are the 2 nicest imo. And missing from the list unfortunately.

I now own 7 citizen watches.from simple quartz to the promaster tough bno 211 50e along with a few divers eco drives as well..and i have to say these watches are pretty darn accurate.and what does it all boil down to when u look at your watch or someone simply ask's the time??accuracy..from the day i bought them they havent lost or gained a second.

Precise, beautifully made, handsome, accurate and extremely long lasting. Surely the most underrated watches on the market. I have 3 Citizens that are all beautiful watches. My Chronograph Eco-Drive as well as my Promaster Eco-Drive Marine are within an accuracy of 5 seconds a month. Try and get that from a Rolex.
I own 3 Citizens.....Eco-Drive Nautica blue leather strap, Eco-Drive Nighthawk WR 200, Cronograph WR 100 .....
I have a Skyhawk and an Endeavor. The Skyhawk is really nice but the Endeavor gets way more looks and compliments.
They can be hard to set at first but once you do, it set for basically ever ( perpetual calendar and other higher function models). Jus rush they have some cleaner dials , most get way too busy for all their models.

I like Citizen watches , but unfortunately they have so many flaws which is mind-boggling since Citizen considers itself a top watch manufacturer. For example, The Citizen CB0025-56E radio-control watch is a beautifully simple, elegant-looking watch with no unnecessary features like a chronograph, alarm feature, UTC subdial, etc. But it has two major flaws. First, the watch's minute hand arrives at the next minute marker 11 seconds too early before the second hand has reached the 0 seconds position (12 o'clock marker). In other words, at the 30 second mark (the 6 o'clock position) the minute hand is 3/4 of the way to the next minute marker instead of being exactly half-way between minute markers. Second, the blue lume on the watch markers is subdued lume instead of vividly bright lume. Considering that Citizen charged $550 MSRP for the watch when it was put on the watch market in 2013, that is inexcusable. Another example is the Citizen AT4117-56H watch which is also radio-controlled.That watch is programmed to receive the USA time signal and the German time signal. But the watch has no European cities programmed into it which means that the radio-control feature is absolutely useless if someone is visiting or resides in a European city.The watch has 4 US cities and London programmed into it. You would think that Citizen would have programmed the watch to receive the UK time signal since they programmed the city of London into the watch. The watch also has the flaw of luminescent square-shaped or rectangular-shaped dots above each marker instead of full-length lume on the markers. When I purchased a Citizen Skyhawk black ion-plated watch back in 2010, I noticed that the second hand on that watch failed to consistently land exactly on the minute markers which is inexcusable in a watch that back then cost in the $800 range. Casio, by contrast, back then manufactured a $30 analog-digital Illuminator watch on which the second hand landed with flawless precision on all the minute markers every single time around the watch dial. How sad is it that Casio takes more pride in the quality of workmanship in their low-end price watches than Citizen takes in Citizen's very expensive, top-of-the-line model watches!

Citizen, Seiko , Casio G-Shock MR-G & MR-T and really amazing watches. I would take them over many Swiss brands.

@@HuuTonyTran actually the Japanese have better movements specifically in the 1000$ and up price point, most would put their Swiss counterparts to shame when in comes to accuracy.

I have the Eco Drive H800 Blue Angels edition... Should be in the top 10. Then again some commentary instead of boom boom music explaining the features and the why's would be appreciative, this is more like a video commercial... I have a serious collection of watches and this is my ONLY Citizen model watch. They are not top of the line like my Seiko Pulse or my Tag Haur but still, going into what makes a watch a great watch would help.

I'm sorry but the proximity watch is nice looking and that's it! The Bluetooth feature doesn't work at all. So I'd have to take it off this list.

Mahin Siddiqui That’s the old version of the Altichron. There is a new version, updated in 2017. The new one looks much better, in my opinion. I took delivery of it last week. It’s a very cool watch.

don't bother buying Eco-Drive because eventually when the battery fails citizen will go out of their way to prevent you from buying another one and don't think you can get them from one of the suppliers on eBay or AliExpress because guaranteed that they will come dead and unserviceable. citizen will only send parts to registered traders and they're not taking new registrations. it's a closed shop. if you send your watch in for the full service they demand in order to change your battery they will charge you you at least as much as a new watch will cost. beautiful watches but bullshit service.

I have no interest in watches that depend on external technology in order to keep time, what a ridiculous concept unless you are travelling through space. The only reliable watch is an automatic free of electrical power. Period, end of story.
I guess all those millions of people using quartz based watches for decades just don't understand their watches aren't working as apparently the manufacturers are paying for people to unobtrusively adjust them constantly while they are not looking. Sound stupid? No more so than saying the only reliable watch is an automatic mechanical watch.
A good quartz movement is vastly more accurate than even the best precision mechanical watch and if it recharges its battery via solar power, then it has a good chance of running for decades without needing attention or adjustments once set and charged, if it worn regularly to allow it to recharge. No mechanical watch will run for the same time without needing to be adjusted and even serviced as the tension spring and gears wear over time. In fact a mechanical watch loses the same amount of time on average in a month, that a good quartz watch loses in a decade.
I do agree that methods of time syncing with external services are a bit gimmicky, as they are not really needed, but to clarify, the watches don't need that to work, they just occasionally make an connection to make tiny adjustments to make sure they are within a very fine range of accuracy. If you own a computer or a tablet or a phone or a tv, these devices all do the same thing, so it's not like they invented some stupid excessive technology for watches, it's just that some watches now tap into sync services that have been in use by technology devices for a while now. Also, to make the point again, this actually does make those watches vastly more accurate than even the best mechanical watch.
And so you don't think I am just a hater, my favourite watch of my own is an Ingsoll automatic. Beautiful, but no where near as reliable as a time keeper as my quartz solar watches.
