(Sometimes he got a good mindset. Like when he didnt want to use anti-efluvium gem/gear against vaal hazak, to learn the hard way, before making it easier.)
1:25 that's exactly what I thought ever since the first hunts. He picked a good starter weapon whose entire move set is based on holding down a button and doing hit and run tactics, which are great for a lot of monsters cause they have big openings you can capitalize, so you can just brute force your way through most of the game without learning attack patterns or how to use flash pods and things like that.

Velkhana is both extremely hard when you face her the first time, but also extremely easy once you know her moveset. You realize that she is full of openings. Most of her attacks are well telegraphed and are actually quite slow. Now Rajang is a huge challenge. Most of his attacks are so fast that you can barely prepare for it. As was mentioned in this video, you have to create openings with him. Rocksteady mantle works wonders with him since it makes it easier to do wall bangs.

sometimes it sure does feel like it though (probably just a bug but sometimes it wasnt the center and more aimed towards a side of the arena and that carted multiple people who were standing at the edge expecting to be safe there)
The best way to avoid it consistently for me is to choose either of the polar ends of the arena. Behind Shara, or if that's out of reach or difficult to reach the complete opposite side of the arena. She might have some ability, intended or otherwise, to pivot it further left or right, but she cannot ever throw it further than intended.
i always run toward him so i can keep attacking.... i did get carted my first few times fighting him because i couldn't get out of the way mirewalker FTW
I don't know how true this is. I've seen it hit players behind Shara many times... I feel like it does aim but there's a limit of range, and it aims just about when it starts which is a lot of time to move, which is why it might seem as if it doesn't aim. I could be wrong though.

Would definitely enjoy seeing more of these kinds of "Hunting Commentary" videos. Learned a lot and was entertained, thanks!
When I did Shara Ishvalda I did the same thing as Asmongold when he did the massive bomb. I ran behind Shara to avoid it, as he never aimed it directly at me, or atleast never changed his initial aim. And the style of how he submerged and emerged elsewhere for me reeked of an attack that "You want to be behind the monster."
I think he did very well against Rajang. He kept running and observing its movements. This is the right way to do when you fight a monster for first time. The result was good. It took some time but it was not that difficult.
Cotton not realizing how easy it is to dodge sharas spirit bomb is gold just get behind him. Also admiral being exhausted after blocking a rajang beam with a giant rock me with a stuffed magnamalo gunlance blocking it easily just makes me smile
Yeah, it's incredibly easy. When Shara burrows, I just chase after him. If you manage to pick a fairly straightforward path that doesn't have sand to slow you down, you can basically run across the arena from one end to another and be safe (although it'll be close, sometimes I get hit sometimes I don't).
@@AmirhoseinHerandy He's called Josh by the others, just like cotton and hollow are... called cotton, and hollow... respectively. Cotton never sayd "Hey rage, come over here"

To be fair I got to about the same spot before I learned the wallbang ( I literally can’t play a new character without doing it now, I just returned to world and everything came back immediately I love this series so much)
I personally dislike wallbanging so much, I run a mod that makes it not necessary. How Asmon plays is a normal combat flow, and if anything shows how disruptive of a mechanic wall banging actually is.
i find wallbanging and flashing to be too cheesy so i dont use it, it's a free way to topple a monster down and denying the player a chance to learn the monster's moveset.
Please do more of these breakdowns. Even with 2k hours into the game and still going, I learn new things like the fatigue thing or Shara and other monster tidbits.
The interesting thing about Shara's eyes isn't that it's a 2D image, the trick is that unlike any other natural eyeball they are concave, meaning they bend inwards, with an unmoving iris in the center. That in turn creates an optical illusion (I forgot the name for it) where within a certain range of angles, the eyeball will appear as if it is following you. The combination of Shara's head shape and eye positioning makes sure that the illusion is never broken no matter which angle you're looking at her, creating this effect of apparently always following the camera, but simultaneously the hunter themselves is experiencing that exact same illusion as well
Cotton, the pace of your delivery during the Shara Ishvalda hunt is MONEY! You have a cool voice and I really enjoy it when you just hang back a little on your delivery speed. For what it’s worth. Great job!
I went through this in MH Tri on wii, my brother did too. And to this day both of carried the lessons we learned in Tri all the way through to MH Sunbreak and had one hell of a fun time too.
For my brother and i it was freedom unite on psp, we didnt get far in as he ended up hating the Yuan fight cause we didnt understand sharpness but man i got hooked.
As nice as it is seeing Asmon learn and get bettet, I'm a little sad when he plows through my favorites. * Cough cough * Tigrex and Ebony * cough cough *
I loved watching asmon play MHW and see where his walls were. I struggled with tigrex and hyper aggressive monsters like rajang and alatreon, but he seemed to unga bunga his way through those. Where as i never struggled with velk or others like that. Its so wierd/ cool to see the differences in playstyle and experiences
Question for everyone, did they reduce the duration of Shara's beam attack? During the video it felt like his beam didnt go for as long as it used to when i fought him. So i tried it and didnt manage to get hit twice with the same beam. Might be because of my armorset skills but im not sure.
23:45 Nah man, I really think the spirit bomb used to have a much larger Area of Effect because I swear its original safe zone was much larger and that he would throw it closer to himself, leaving the safe zone being shaped like a crescent away from Shara. But I could be remembering wrong, or they could have changed the size of it since iceborne release and I've still just done what I do every time and never knew, or never learned the true are of effect. *shrugs*
I think the problem was that he would make big ass sand spot everywhere in the arena and they would take forever to go away and when he would retreat for his bomb attack you would be trying to run to the edge when your waist deep in sand.
Nah, you'll get hit if you're right next to back feet. If you're hitting them from behind like Asmon was, you're just barely out of the AoE. Safest thing to do is just smack the tail.
Cotton, Shara's spirit bomb always lands in the center of the arena and you avoid it by hugging the wall. The fact he kept attacking Shara from behind is probably what saved him. Which is great because Shara has a habit of doing the energy beam immediately afterwards, shrouded by the dust in the air.
I remember my first time fighting Velkhana, I actually fought her for so long that I ran out the hunt timer, and the second time I finished in 40 minutes. She incentivises using every advantage you have on top of having strong fundamentals, and definitely makes you a better hunter for it.
He's hooked. No question about that. And love him or hate him, Asmon is about to bring this franchise to the next level. All the love and support should obviously go to the MH World team for making an almost perfect game....... but Asmon is bringing tons of new eyeballs to their masterpiece. The elitists can F off. In my humble opinion, Asmon's MH streams are a HUGE net positive for the community and the franchise. Watching him makes me want to play Monster Hunter.
I agree. I had played a cracked version of the game a few years ago and made it all the way to gold rathian and silver rathalos. Watching his stream made me actually go and buy the game on steam. I just killed shara and am grinding a bit to get some better gear and weapons before hitting up the grinding lands.
i love watching asmon stream monster hunter and seeing how the chat reacts, like when he misses, the chat goes "classic" or when he says some sus stuff the chat goes "HUH"
This whole playthrough for him, his cat is broken... not once has it ever had to hide because of low health. It's like it's had the shieldspire the whole time. I did the vigorwasp uo until end game and my palco fainted in these higher rank quests and paying attention to how these hunts went, his palco never went into red health... even when it was targeted
When i face some tough monsters, being carting all over again, i just remember there are Elder ring and other soulslike games, where "you died" screen is seen more often than you fail quests in all moster hunter games all together xD
Wait. As far as I know, you can't cut Shara's tail. Only the head, Severable on the head, twice. It drops its crown. Other than that, I'm pretty sure you *cannot cut its tail.*
the first time seeing kulve taroth was the moment i fell in love with her after she shed her gold. it was the coolest transition and i just looove the desgin and concept of it.
Shara is one of my favorite fights in World. On top of just being fun, it is also a good message. 'Think you're good, huh? The creature that can't adapt can't survive. Show me you can adapt'
Throughout his playthrough i am amazed at how little damage he is actually taking from these monsters, he gets dumped by rajang and takes less than half his health, one dive bomb from him would cart me instantly. Its fascinating how many times he actually survived these usual one shots
@@sax7760 I mean I started a new character and got like 4 gems from 2 different hunts. The drop rates are just rng. Sometimes you get lucky, or you don't.
There is something deeply funny about the constant "A lot of players struggle with the beam getting up and dying. Is he gonna get up immediately? Yes, but it ends before he takes damage." over and over lmao
Rajang has one move that tends to either cart people or put them in a position to get carted and that's his super enraged dive bomb which you must superman dive to avoid. And so if you do play it very safe when he's in his enraged golden form, he's not actually overly tough in a game where you have so many defensive and HP recovery options. He also has less HP than other elder tier monsters and you've got 50 minutes to beat him. And yet, if Asmon wasn't running Vigorwasp Spray and DB3, he probably would've lost. He technically carted twice and I'm sure would've carted a third time without those crutches. Alatreon and Fatalis are going to force him to learn how to play the game for real and it's going to hurt given that he's been brute forcing everything up to this point. Raging Brachy could be interesting, but he'll be using my preferred weapon in that fight.
best way to dodge the rajang "kaoiken" death role is to be near him and roll/move under him in his back. the range of his attack is like a hand fan i think. and he cant go behin his starting point. also for some ppl who dont know, glavenus round swing attack with his tail can be easy dodged by standing still behin his right foot (glavenus left one from his view). enjoy
i don't think the greatsword is necessarily a bad pick for rajang. because of its fast sheath and an instance of big damage on your first hit, you can just go for a critical draw build and mess him up one hit at a time. an example of a bad weapon against rajang would be CB because it doesn't have a fast sheath for you to poke and run with and it doesn't have that big instance of damage that greatsword can have. a quick poke with SnS mode doesn't deal as much as dmg as GS in that short window of downtime. yes there's the axe draw but it's slow and not worth the risk because of no shield and slow sheath. might aswell use GS if you wanna plan on using that
On the Dragonball reference of Rajang: He is a big ape, who gets golden hair when angry, shoots lazer beams out of his mouth and gets knocked out of his powerfull form (think Ozaru) by damaging his tail. It fits perfectly.
Normally people who play would go for "speedrun build" which attack focused build, but asmon really use tank build, all his stats focused on defense and evade. Like for real all defense
@@prohanta9360 yeah when I first fought rajang I was using bow with a more damage build and it took me a while since rajang was basically one tapping me
The problem with learning by doing, like you mention with the beam, is that you assume people will learn the correct lesson. I see a ton of people say how that beam is a one hit kill with no mention of s from being knocked down. I don't see how anyone would be expected to learn this who isn't already experienced with games that do that sort of thing. Even seen videos on using divine bless and guard to basically tank the beam and mention that it normally kills people in one hit with no mention of them dying because they got up too soon. Playing possum is not a tactic I've heard mentioned before as a way to counter that beam, most are just learn the pattern to avoid it as it's easy to do with how slow he is and/or increase defense skills so you can take the hits. Learning by doing assumes the person understand why something works verse why it doesn't. I've seen in plenty of games and even done it myself where you figure a strategy that works but it's working because of a different mechanic when there was another mechanic you could have used. Like with brute forcing the beam with the above skill combos.
A Kirin is actually a mythological creature from Chinese mythology and is something between a Unicorn and a Giraffe if im not mistaken. However in popular literature Kirins usually take the form of unicorns or beautiful horses. They tend to be either servants to some diety or be gods themselves.
i love how this game have players different experiences, like i've seen people ranting about barioth but in my experience he wasn't a challenge instead narga was my wall, same thing with furious rajang, i didn't cart at him by listening to one advice to not stand at front of his face, instead my wall was raging brachy, i think it's also because of chosen weapon.
@@mhzaneimpact1419the intended way of playing monster hunter. Staying to one weapon makes me feel mono-toned, since we're doing the exact same combos for hours on end
I just remembered how much Shara and Metroid Prime have in common, with them both using an exoskeleton for a large portion of the fight, before revealing their true form, which ends up being much more dangerous and powerful.
Nice E-Sport commentary. 👍You only missed when he got slammed into the ground by rajang and his palico flinched rajang right before the followup. 36:00
The Hardest part of MH , specialy the newer generations isn't technically the Skill Ceiling or basic mechanics of the game but rather the Core synergy builds that associated with each weapon so on and so forth ( Specialy in this case Iceborne and also Sunbreak's insane Anomaly High investigations , like i've literally Hunted around 2000 quests thru out the whole game with Longsword Only "Having 13 other builds and 6 weapons to play with" , that means i'm pretty confident with Lai Spirit Slashes and Counters , but most of the Challenge came within Harnessing a True completed rounded build for such a weapon , in this case when i reached around 101+-301 Anomaly Research level threats i managed to Solo Kill Primeordial Malzeno who's just insane ). Plus i personally think Greatsword is definitely a tough weapon to master specialy in Iceborne actually without going deep into Meta builds cuz you can be really good with Monsters reactions & readings , but Builds are essentially the good indicator of how Well optimised a weapon/builds can be , and this is coming from me who played 6 Weapons and mastering them in Sunbreak and Iceborne , so it all boils down to how well equipped and rounded your skills are specialy and most importantly at Solo Quest Hunting for sure. 👍🏼
Truthfully, I have no idea who this Asmongold guy is, I'm here because I love Rage, Cotton, & Hollow. It's awesome to see Cotton being the pro rather than the noob. 😊
Me personally, I love using the glider mantle with the temporal/rocksteady mantle or some combo of the 3 on monsters with tougher/annoying movesets so I can spam air attacks with GS till I trigger a mount. I can get 6 or so mounts easily and I'm more mobile with being able to redirect my momentum with a charged air attack, so having that much control over the fight and abusing claw > jump off to trigger glide and free air attack without ledges is huge. I feel it mitigates GS' weakness at times, depending on how its utilized
I remember when I just hit MR100+ took on Tempered Ruiner Nerg first time a random max MR999 HBG joined in, 3 mins in he carted and left. I was like dude it's ok I have safeguard😂 this goes to show that even the most seasoned veteran hunter can make blunders sometimes. So of you're a beginner don't get upset when you fail quests because of carting, EVERYONE went into that phase. Keep on playing and have fun.
Monster blocks its own spirit bomb. But also, yes, opposit side works, too. Im a gunner, so i would be closer to the opposite side, but im currently doing charge blade, and the monster blocks the attack itself too.
Am I the only one who never thought of Dragon Ball for Rajang but instead specially with this intro it gives me "The Last Unicorn" vibes (it's an old school 80's film where a bull hunts down all the unicorns & throws them into the sea) but anyway one of the best "oh dayum" intros
I really appreciate those videos because even as somewhat seasoned hunter (since mh3) I still learn things from it I didn't recognise over the years. Like wake up hits functionality. Yeah shame in me for not knowing the double damage thing there but I swear I use it since I understood it. 😅
i think you confuse Sharas SPirit Bomb with the one from the Windtiger in Wild Hearts. Sharas always aims at the middle of the arena and the edges are safe.
Love the reacts its nice to have the experienced break downs from the fight and context to the armor/weapons and consumables being used while i have never played this game , its starting to itch now …
I have been watching asmon for years and u can tell when ye enjoys playing a game and when he is not and dude has veen having a great time and thats what its all about.
44:35 I keep hearing that savage deviljho will follow you relentlessly, but I've never seen it, I've tried to lure him to other monsters but he always loses interest in me even though I'm flinch shotting him into being enraged. I think this is just another myth like how he eats his own tail
i hate to admit it, being a hunter since monster hunter freedom 2 first launched on psp, Asmon actually took less tries(2) than me(3) on velkhana. and is already a better GS Tackler than me. Its interesting how some monsters are more difficult to some people and some are easier for some people. I Love this Franchise so much. Can't wait for Alatreon and Fatalis. Asmon is doing very well for his first MH game and i hope he will also play WILDS when it comes out, Happy Hunting Guys💜
To add to the insanity of the General's strength is that he did it right after presumably being buried in a mountain of rubble 😂 anime level power levels
I'd finished base World years ago, but never got Iceborne, and I was thoroughly warned by someone who is much more masochistic than I am that I may not enjoy Iceborne....and Asmon passed me up, I did not expect him to actually blast through it like he did, but I hit Barioth today, and uhh...I'm pretty much done w/ the game at this point, fuck this shit xD
Mostly, for yours truly, it's nice to watch someone like asmongold getting humbled after mindlessly swinging his greatsword all throughout base world and even a small portion in Iceborn. That shit might have carried him previously, but not for much longer, Raging Brachydios, Furious Rajang, Alatreon, Fatalis, AT Kirin, none of these bosses will tolerate you running in hamfisted like he has been doing.
Being honest Cotton, ive never liked the game because it seemed too hard at the time i tried playing. But watching these videos specifically make me want to try the game again since its definitely been updated since when it first came out when i tried it. I love these and never thought i would but these videos and Josh's ecology videos recently make me want to try it at least one more time.
Its amazing how well asmon has been doing in mhw even velkhana was very hard but what gave him so much trouble was the fact that he wasn’t using the right charm during the fight which he later at the literal very end of the stream he realized and felt stupid and relieved that he wasn’t getting worst at the game he was just not using the correct gear
All you need to complete the sports game commentator starter pack is a digital red marker to draw circles and arrows. "As you can see with this jump attack, Rajang's balls are *here*, Asmond's face is *here*, you see that's the problem"
I've never heard of Asmongold before these analysis videos of Cotton's but it is fascinating to witness a new players journey again. I really don't care one way or another for Asmon to much as a streamer (As I said I only recently learned he existed) but I'm really loving the in-depth analysis Cotton is providing with his own experience as fresh hunter to compare it too!
one of the reasons i had less fun with rise than world is that i never hit that triple cart moment in world i had to improve either my skill or my setup at almost every step, while in rise i used the exact same loadout minus some tier 1 decorations for everything in master rank, i only crafted a single master rank armor and it was rare to cart at all and i dont think i failed a quest about 150 hours into the game where in world and especially iceborne, at almost every new monster i triple carted at least once, either because i was set up wrong or didnt know the attacks well enough, that just didnt happen in rise, i often killed a new, unknown monster in MR first try and im honestly not that great at MH (my reaction time is not the best) and it made the endgame feel less rewarding the first time i killed a rajang and furious rajang in world was so satisfying precisely because it had triple carted me 10 times in a row before.

He actually kept running because he didn't know what to do and he said so himself. He tried to run out the rage mode of Rajang.
@@nuke2099 Yes. But he also learned the movements because of it.

Cotton not realizing how easy it is to dodge sharas spirit bomb is gold just get behind him. Also admiral being exhausted after blocking a rajang beam with a giant rock me with a stuffed magnamalo gunlance blocking it easily just makes me smile
Yeah I thought Shara just bombs the middle of the room you are fighting in and its safe at the edge.
I still just Superman dive that attack out if habbit i will try the behind method next time I fight shara 😂
The reason why it seems so easy to many people now is because it is easier. Many monsters have been nerfed. Shara too.
@@Fatalis_Legendhis bomb has always been easy to dodge
Yeah, it's incredibly easy. When Shara burrows, I just chase after him. If you manage to pick a fairly straightforward path that doesn't have sand to slow you down, you can basically run across the arena from one end to another and be safe (although it'll be close, sometimes I get hit sometimes I don't).
I can't be the only one here who is very eager to see Asmongold play Iceborne with Rage, Cotton, and Hollow.
his name is Josh, not Rage
@@justsomejerseydevilwithint4606 You mean the other 2 have Cotton and Hollow in their passports as their first names? :D
@@AmirhoseinHerandy He's called Josh by the others, just like cotton and hollow are... called cotton, and hollow... respectively. Cotton never sayd "Hey rage, come over here"

@@gryphon4150 I don't care all that much, I just saw it and it bugged my detail-oriented side. I suppose you can call them whatever you want.
It’s really amazing he’s gotten as far as he has without using max potions to heal and never wall banging from clutch.
To be fair I got to about the same spot before I learned the wallbang ( I literally can’t play a new character without doing it now, I just returned to world and everything came back immediately I love this series so much)
I personally dislike wallbanging so much, I run a mod that makes it not necessary. How Asmon plays is a normal combat flow, and if anything shows how disruptive of a mechanic wall banging actually is.
tbh i have 200+ hours and haven't preformed a single wall bang
I use wall bangs when I’ve hunted the monster already and when I’m grinding for parts
i find wallbanging and flashing to be too cheesy so i dont use it, it's a free way to topple a monster down and denying the player a chance to learn the monster's moveset.
The combination of Shara's head shape and eye positioning makes sure that the illusion is never broken no matter which angle you're looking at her, creating this effect of apparently always following the camera, but simultaneously the hunter themselves is experiencing that exact same illusion as well
Cotton going for this announcer style thing makes me want a competition type monhun. Kinda like a race to world first.
When I saw the three tackles on the stream, my mind went to The Matrix "He's beginning to believe"
When Asmongold fights raging brachydios I would love to see cotton, and Josh commented on it
As nice as it is seeing Asmon learn and get bettet, I'm a little sad when he plows through my favorites. * Cough cough * Tigrex and Ebony * cough cough *
tigrex made me switch weapon for the rest of my playthrough lmao
Asmon getting into the masterpiece called Monster Hunter? (World and Iceborne) Hell yeah!!!
Velkhana be like, "Chill bro, you're getting cocky now."
Oh the first time I got caught by that post spiritbomb beam I was like…cheeky…. 😂
@@terogates1 Honestly, watching Asmon, I think we all could learn a valuable lesson.
If only Shara was worth farming. 🤣
I just killed shara and am grinding a bit to get some better gear and weapons before hitting up the grinding lands.
wait, there are elitists and gatekeepers criticizes about Asmongold plays MHW ? that's nuts.
i love watching asmon stream monster hunter and seeing how the chat reacts, like when he misses, the chat goes "classic" or when he says some sus stuff the chat goes "HUH"
This whole playthrough for him, his cat is broken... not once has it ever had to hide because of low health. It's like it's had the shieldspire the whole time. I did the vigorwasp uo until end game and my palco fainted in these higher rank quests and paying attention to how these hunts went, his palco never went into red health... even when it was targeted
to my knowledge shara throws that spirit bomb in the middle of the room. The explosion radius is huge but easy to avoid on the edges.
I only knew about the s when youre laid down during kulve taroth, and i was hours into the guiding lands then.
4:39 "This isn't jumping! This is falling... with style!"
That little ledge where he was first fighting rajang helped him more than he probably realizes

I have never ran away from the rasengan, he always throws it into the center of the arena but the sheer terror... top tier fight

Raging Brachy could be interesting, but he'll be using my preferred weapon in that fight.
best way to dodge the rajang "kaoiken" death role is to be near him and roll/move under him in his back. the range of his attack is like a hand fan i think. and he cant go behin his starting point.
also for some ppl who dont know, glavenus round swing attack with his tail can be easy dodged by standing still behin his right foot (glavenus left one from his view). enjoy
These just someone who says “hi cotten” in between all the chaos of chat at 17:40
i don't think the greatsword is necessarily a bad pick for rajang. because of its fast sheath and an instance of big damage on your first hit, you can just go for a critical draw build and mess him up one hit at a time.
an example of a bad weapon against rajang would be CB because it doesn't have a fast sheath for you to poke and run with and it doesn't have that big instance of damage that greatsword can have. a quick poke with SnS mode doesn't deal as much as dmg as GS in that short window of downtime. yes there's the axe draw but it's slow and not worth the risk because of no shield and slow sheath. might aswell use GS if you wanna plan on using that
On the Dragonball reference of Rajang:
He is a big ape, who gets golden hair when angry, shoots lazer beams out of his mouth and gets knocked out of his powerfull form (think Ozaru) by damaging his tail.
It fits perfectly.
also i just realized how tanky he is after fighting rajang, bro was eating them blows like nothing
Normally people who play would go for "speedrun build" which attack focused build, but asmon really use tank build, all his stats focused on defense and evade. Like for real all defense

Asmongold using the correct name always means he is enjoying the game. He did the same with FFXIV with "Horseface" whose name is Haurchefant.
Watching this man try greatsword for the first time nearly gave me an anyurism
Based on watching him a few years back, he'd only pick greatsword. And it's one of the better starter weapons, for his benefit.
Triple carting, those frustrating useful moments.
The fact he got a Ice Element Up form that Deco form Rajang (That Going Help A Lot with Alatreon once we get to the whole Element Mechanic)
Through it would be hilarious if he did the good ol' war of attrition against Alty with raw weapons instead lol.
So many greatsword mains since this guy started playing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 nice to finally not see everyone using the EZ Long sword

I nearly spit my coffee watching asmon's stream because of that "Big Boy" scene..
Monster blocks its own spirit bomb. But also, yes, opposit side works, too. Im a gunner, so i would be closer to the opposite side, but im currently doing charge blade, and the monster blocks the attack itself too.
I like to imagine Josh uses the Asmongold videos as a way to distract Cotton while he works on a video about Monster Hunter Wilds.
Anybody else find shara ishvaldas face to be very human like in a creepy way?
Its the eyes i think, compared to any other monster they are quite large and easily visible. Not to mention they follow you around
Spirit bomb always hits the center of the arena. You don’t need to be far away from Shara, you need to be at the perimeter of the arena.
Shara's tail can't be cut, but you can cut a piece of it's forehead after breaking the head twice.
@user-bq5np8zb2r hey alright

"As you can see with this jump attack, Rajang's balls are *here*, Asmond's face is *here*, you see that's the problem"
I’ve shouted so hard after beating velk one time my dog turned into a palico and had to scrap her off the ceiling….
All I had to say when I saw the title card I said uh oh
one of the reasons i had less fun with rise than world is that i never hit that triple cart moment
in world i had to improve either my skill or my setup at almost every step, while in rise i used the exact same loadout minus some tier 1 decorations for everything in master rank, i only crafted a single master rank armor and it was rare to cart at all and i dont think i failed a quest about 150 hours into the game
where in world and especially iceborne, at almost every new monster i triple carted at least once, either because i was set up wrong or didnt know the attacks well enough, that just didnt happen in rise, i often killed a new, unknown monster in MR first try and im honestly not that great at MH (my reaction time is not the best) and it made the endgame feel less rewarding
the first time i killed a rajang and furious rajang in world was so satisfying precisely because it had triple carted me 10 times in a row before.
Even with him taking the 1 cart on Rajang, he even had fortify so he actually got something out of the cart too which a lot of hunters wouldn't do
i want more monsters like odegaron the long pauses throw me for a loop
Asmond would be proud the infinite money glitch of reacting to a video
I always assumed the spirit bomb goes to the middle like a cenimatic event i didnt know going to the othwr side was the way lol
