Guimaras has the best sweetest mangoes in the Philippines. Why is Guimaras called the mango capital of the Philippines? The island province is famous for producing one of the sweetest mangoes in the world, thus earning the nickname "Mango Capital of the Philippines" from local and foreign tourists. Guimaras mangoes are reportedly served at the White House and Buckingham Palace.
The one thing that bothers me about the Philippines and Thailand is the laws against foreigners owning property. For me the Philippines would be a great place to live if I could buy a house on an acre of land.
Hi Michael. Good morning. Try visiting Bulabog-Putian national park at Morobo, Dingle, Iloilo. There’s caves. There’s also and old swimming pool and dam and suspension bridge. built I think in 1960. You will see Jalaur River that comes from the mountains of Calinog winding down to different towns.
You might want to visit SEAFDEC in Tigbauan. Its an awesome fishery and research center. You might still find the wild bangus the size of a shark there.
Beautiful home. I suspect that because of the enclosed space and high perimeter walls, there is little ventilation. With the lack of air flow, the interior must get pretty hot.
@@GUITARTIME2024 You are absolutely right. I should have better articulated my post. What happens when there is a 12-hour brownout and there is no power? I saw only one air conditioner in the downstairs living area. A 2.5-HP split-inverter air conditioner to cool over 200 square meters of area is going to overburden the AC. Furthermore, anyone who has lived in the Philippines understands that electricity is very expensive when compared to other Asian countries or the United States. The amount he is paying in rent is a very good deal, and the money he is saving can offset his high electrical bill. To give you an idea of how much it costs to use air conditioning in the Philippines, for a 100-square-meter space, I am paying an average of 12,000 pesos per month. The house in the video has more than double the living space of my condo.
Value is 'perceived'. -- People 'perceive' differently. -- Owners 'perceive' differently as well. Some might see the value here in a deal like this and others perhaps not ? --- A 72 year old wise US expat in Angeles City 'negotiated' a deal with an owner who wanted 4K pesos for an apartment that needed work. > He cleaned painted new tile floor new kitchen new ac new windows and agreed to pay 5K pesos for life -&- allowed the owner to keep everything upon his death. TV fridge ac furniture mw oven - everything. So his rent is froze @ 5K/mo. for the rest of his life. --- Deals '''can''' be negotiate with owners !
That's an excellent arrangement. The owner never has to worry about new tenants, so long as the current owner lives. The tenant gets to create a lavish comfortable home, without having to worry about moving. And the owner gets all of those goodies when the tenant passes on. As an added bonus, they get to know each other over time and perhaps build a good friendship also.
What is the mammoth concrete wall or building next door? It's enormous! As for the ADV I have one here in Thailand. It's awesome. I only paid 99,000! The 350's sell for 188,000 new!
no city water = no flouride... here in leganes we buy bulk water 200 peso 1000 liters per tank. it's a good thing it's only the 2 of us living and the water last for one week

Iloilo and the whole Panay has ample power with 2 wind energy, 2 coal power plants and with back up diesel power and it is interconnected with the National grid. What happened early this month was very unfortunate with the tripping off of some powerplants. It is now full restored and the local government units and the national government is now investigating this fiasco.
Still pretty rare, we had a big one last year and then again this year. Every level of government so angry demanding big changes so that is a good sign. Normally you only get scheduled ones on weekends during the day with announcement and even then maybe once every couple months for a few hours.
He has a fridge and freezer plus a spilt type 2 hp aircon plus WiFi and a hot water heater when taking showers. How much is his electric bill? I had about the same thing but I was paying like 23,000 to 28,000 for my electric bill sometimes 30,000 pesos per month.
