It is a therapy for him. He made the calculation for three years all he intended to spend on how much it will cost him until his lease ended. The man is not bored, I followed his channel before he started renovating this house. I watched every one of his videos. I said this has made him rejoice in his life and be a happy man . This is a positive person that I can see myself around, we find solutions and make things work for us.

I think the owner is going to see how nice the place is after all the renovations and they’ll change their mind about tearing it down. As cheap as his rent is even with all the spending, I wouldn’t even bother taking the stove or anything else with me. I would just walk away. Too bad the lot wasn’t just a little bit bigger. They could build their McMansion and use the remodeled older home as a rental property. They should actually look into another piece of property in that neighborhood if anything becomes available. It would be ashamed to tear all this apart. It’s really comfortable cool little spot he’s created. I love it.

I get that it’s increasing the value of the house and he’s making it look nicer but if they have a different aesthetic preference, that could be a problem since he’s only renting. During the renovation, he helped employ locals. Great job. I was in and out of the Philippines for 7 years. I eventually married a Filipino. We live in America. I am 78; she is 26. I want to build a home in the Philippines. Buying land and building a house in rural areas is cheaper than in big cities like Makati or Manila. The bar looks wierd.... He should make it round with the entrance on the side that does not spoil the view!!
    Just my 2 cents! Cheers!

Hi, I just watched your video and I’m interested in finding out who that guy is cause I’ve been wanting to try to get to the Philippines for a few years now I’m a heavyset guy though. Don’t know if I’ll be able to hack it, but I would love to be able to get up with that guy that might rent that place to me that he was talking about. Don’t know how to subscribe to him to ask him so if you could please give me an answer I appreciate it.

I see, he's become like a caretaker. Instead of hiring caretakers cleaning up the house. They rented the place to him.
