    Todd is telling the truth. I had non stop problems with stock clutch and dura clutch. My new 15 1k had problems until 2018 when Todd helped me figure out my spacing issues.
    Keep it up Todd.

      I can listen to him all day. I have been working on polaris quads and side by sides for 23 years(other brands too but primarily polaris) and know them inside and out. I thought I knew a lot about clutches and clutching, but good lord, Todd is the Godfather of clutching! And he aint lying when he says to email him and h'ell get right back with you. Honestly, it's way more efficient that way.

    Your videos are on point!!
    No BS just good info!
    Not all will listen and not all will comprehend what you’re saying but that is their loss. Ha
    You really helped me a few years back with my grenade of a 2012 RZR XP and all of its noises/problems.
    Thank you!
    You made a huge problematic RZR very livable with your knowledge and help!!
    Keep up the great vids!!!

    Thanks again Todd! I just built an engine on a 2015 Ranger 900 XP and didn’t notice this sound then I put a new belt on and there was a noise that I narrowed down to the secondary clutch.
    Put a post up asking questions finally took the owner of this machine for a ride.
    The first thing he said was it never started this good since knew so that was nice but I was taking him for a ride to have him listen to that sound and he said he doesn’t remember that sound being there but he also has 3300 miles on it so the noise was probably there in the beginning and then it went away so he would’ve forgot about it. This is the exact same noise I’m having glad you took the time to make this video. It’s solve my problem and a lot of headache trying to diagnose it.
    Appreciate it!

    P.S I’m going to order up a set of your slippery washers for my old Chinese Yamaha 660 rhino clone I like the idea of using those versus the other ones that are a plastic.

    My quiet belt has helped my 2017 rzr xp 1000 highlifter tremendously! It would scream at low speed and the snorkels amplified the scream. Now it is way quieter and smoother taking off. Some people are never happy no matter what you do to help them. Sometimes they just need someone to blame. Todd you just happened to get them blame. As for me I tell everyone about your belts and recommend them. I truly appreciate your time and effort to try and solve the issues with these clutches.

    Appreciate the pain your going through Todd- and 2 RZR's/ Generals ect ect... are never the same. I just came across a new 2019 XP1000 that came into my shop, and checked the spacing.. the guy had zero problems with his clutch, and running the stock belt for 800 miles I was just adding bumpers and the such and asked if I could check his clutch spacing...... he said sure " just don't charge me for it..LOL....
    It was less than a 1/16" out and I left it alone.. I had brand new HW-T921K belt of yours on the rack and put it on and WAMO!!- the squeal was there in less than 1/2 block.. Put the stock belt back on and quiet as a church mouse....you have pulled your hair out trying to figure this out and this situation totally blew me away as I know we have talked several times with the RZR's that come though my shop..... I also am scratching my head....

    All I have to say is I love my HD belt for my Polaris general 1000-4. Also the round rollers are kicking ass and doing their job. The low speed noise is a stupid complaint from all these people. Keep up the quality work Hunterworks!

    • @RS-jv7qd
      @RS-jv7qd 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Snow Falcon If the low speed noise is a stupid complaint why is Hunter Works among others trying so hard to find a fix for the problem? You obviously don't have the extreme noise I and many others have that's very loud and annoying.

    • @chaosad9754
      @chaosad9754 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Some people just want to diagnose and fix problems before they become worse. A new noise should be concerning, until you figure it out.

  • @RS-jv7qd
    @RS-jv7qd 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did the alignment with the SDI tool, spacing was off approximately 3/32". Installed the thick quiet belt w/white washer in primary and also replaced the square pucks with the round ones. $400 later I still have the same low speed noise I had before, no change at all.

    • @Hunterworks
      @Hunterworks  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Then you simply must have a loud secondary or just can't run it, I wish it was not this way, we have way more getting quiet from stock belts than the other way around. I am just sorry. No idea what vehicle you have but you will be forced to use a thin belt.

    • @RS-jv7qd
      @RS-jv7qd 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The machine is a 2019 RZR XP 1000. We do a lot of low speed trail riding up here in northern Minnesota, so we're constantly in and out of the speed range (10mph) of the noise. It's very annoying listening to the squeal every time you accelerate. Looks like my only option is a STM secondary clutch. Very frustrating when you spend $18k on a machine and you have these sorts of problems.

      Brake pads. Catching the rotor, hitting the caliper pin, dropping back down and over and over again. Drive ya nuts. You can get the caliper pin springs off a Polaris EV or I just put a couple baby zip ties around the brake pad were the pin goes through the brake pad holes.

    2019 Polaris ranger XP 900 changed out stock belt to aftermarket.... squeals below 10mph.... warranty that belt... same results. Then I find your video on TH-cam I'm to the point of buying an aftermarket secondary...

    P.S Todd you say not the 900 Ranger but I have the same clutch on this 2015 Ranger 900 XP. It’s a Canadian bought unit if that makes a difference??
    Anyway same exact noise from
    the same area and under the same circumstances (new Polaris belt installed).
    I noticed in a google search that you had commented it does not affect Ranger 900’s after 2016.

  • @itskerbc

    Hey Todd first I’ll say you make some great videos! Hear me out here… I replaced my stock 16 ranger 900 belt and the tech talked me into getting the new Polaris HD belt. I am now having a whining/growling noise when driving, I know you say the belt won’t cause this. When installing I loosened and did not remove the secondary bolt to spread the secondary clutch to get the belt installed. Re torqued to 45 Ft lbs curious what you may think the issue is with this very limited amount of information I gave you.

    • @Hunterworks
      @Hunterworks  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Would be rare you could get the bolt back tight with the belt between the two halves but the noise is that secondary with that HD belt

I have a 2021 XP turbo (200miles) and my buddy has a 2022 XP Pro (66miles) when we decelerate going down a hill and start to brake we both have clunking and chattering. I have heard it in other people's videos as well. I've seen numerous topics on this in the forums and some say it's the brake pads, it sounds more like driveline noise to me. Sounds bad. I would appreciate any help you can provide. I liked and sub'd

    I have a 2022 rzr xp 1000. I regret buying Polaris. Its a rattle box. I'm kinda embarrassed to drive it I have 54 km on it. I had it in dealer several times. they say that Polaris products are rattles boxes . Its normal is all I get. Also it's not u.s.a. made. Made in Mexico. I did not know this the rzr is really just a fang machine dressed with stickers that say Polaris. What a scam. I thought I was buying something built in the USA. Says 15 inches of ground clearance is also a big fraud. Its only got 12 .75 inches of factual ground clearance. 2. 25 inches lower than their advertisement . Much fraud going on with Polaris.
