      While it’s high and the water is a little milky, get out there and throw some loud baits, like some lipless, or spike your swimbaits with some garlic or good scent lures and you can be surprised. Muddy water is some of the best. Unlike the walleye, the saugeye love that stuff!

    You have any issues with eating them out of buckeye? I'm always concerned about runoff from the local farms

      No, it’s never been a real big issue, plus with the new h2ohio program(look it up) there will be vast improvements. The big side effect of runoff is the algae blooms. I don’t eat the fish for a couple weeks after a bloom. That’s the recommended time too I believe but don’t quote me. I’m more concerned about the 2stroke oil😂

    Is this along north bank ? My in-laws live in the Sw corner. Always see guys lined up along that bank. Keep the lines tight brother!

      A little bit of everywhere, I do like the north side of the lake most of the time though. I try to be where people aren’t. Especially bank fishing. I can’t stand shoulder to shoulder fisherman. ESPECIALLY If I’m fishing and someone walks up and plops down right beside me. A lot of these guys just cast straight out with a tight line and don’t show any respect to the guys that were already there casting lures, which of course is never just straight in front but f you. If I can’t get atleast 30yds either side of me I’ll move on to another spot.

      @@TKJ_Fishing completely agree. I just love seeing the ppl, really makes you stop to appreciate the body of water that it is. I can go down the bike path almost any day and count 5-15 ppl scattered along. Consistency is the key out there. Can’t catch em from the couch. Lol

      @@MaxusMeter yep, i live like 80yds from the lake and it’s a part of my life I can’t imagine being without

    I'm still trying to figure saugeye out...I saw one of your videos you was pumping the lure...was that a rattle trap or blade bait?..do you usually let those joshys drag the bottom or just cast and retrieve?

    • @TKJ_Fishing
      @TKJ_Fishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      With swimbaits it’s always cast and retrieve. More often then Not I like to keep it just off the bottom but that’s not always the case. Keeping your rod tip up or down and reeling different speeds can put you in different locations in the water column. The lipless/rattle traps I yo-yo and little crank baits I twitch and stop alot
