Kris- you are a very talented film maker-I can't help but think that you must do/have done this professionally? This film is utterly charming but manages to avoid sentimentality. Great skills x. Braunston Bakes looks amazing! I am now looking forward to this Christmas. Very best regards to you both and thanks so much for sharing.
Ah thank you so much! Both of us are from a photography background but the vlogs basically came from wanting to learn video and really falling in love with it :)
Well, now I’m going to need to make a wreath of oranges and bay leaves. Glad you had a cozy Christmas. My mother-in-law was deadly serious about Scrabble and whist.
Lovely❄️🎄I might have to get some decorations out after watching this, I wish we had a village bake here. There is a lady who does sell Christmas baking and I’ve just ordered Christmas pudding ( steamed) and shortbreads from her. I make my own shortbread but daughter prefers whipped shortbread and I am not going to squish my dough through a cookie press only to have it all fall apart😂🤣. Everything looked pretty and yummy, great scenery as well👍🏼🙋🏼♀️
What a lovely Christmas... I feel like I've had one now, but if I need another one, will watch this again in one month's time. I wanted to be at Braunston Bakes and the concert and pretty much everywhere (apart from the really muddy towpaths and broken locks). Thank you both for a wonderful half hour 🎄🎅
Kris, I was enjoying a relaxing Sunday evening with a (small) brandy and the dogs, contemplating a nice rise in my fantasy football rank and then you pop up. I am now not just confused about which day of the week or month it is but also which year. I did know this was a Sunday because the shops were closed, btw. I'm not quite that far gone. Sundays are easy. I shall have more to say on this when I've finished watching the video.
I’m quite new to this channel and i’ve been binge watching the videos and i’m a bit confused on the timeline but enjoining it none the less , it’s been quite inspiring for me watching you guys since i’m stuck with what i want to be doing career wise . Have a lovely rest of your sunday😊
Kris and Andrew - loved this. Smashed it! You've sold narrowboats and more so Braunston to me. I'm moving there 😅. Who said the quintessentially english village is dead. Braunston seems to work hard at it 👍. I was drooling at the bakes. My fav apricot folds too but we only have mass produced for my local Cafe Nero (but still enjoy them)😊. Loved this vlog more please 🙏
I do wish I could find something further to rant about but unfortunately it was charming, as always. You know I'm always relieved when (somebody) releases another of these videos as it reassures me that the three of you are not floating upside down in a lock somewhere. I presume your Easter video will appear sometime between now and Christmas but just in case it doesn't I'll wish you all a very lovely Christmas in 2024. A spot of advice...avoid seed oils in food. And invest in Bitcoin. And be kind to horses and brambles. All the very best and thank you. From Wallace and Cedric also. Erm, yes. I had a second brandy. Soz.
I always love the shots you bring into your videos, do you still use the Fujifilm's that are in the description - which one is the majority of the shots filmed with?
Ooh, a brand new video. Thanks for recommending (well, I think you read it in a day), 'Unsettled Ground' (that was probably years ago for you) - I'm getting close to the end and don't really want it to end. In return, try 'On the Black Hill', by Bruce Chatwin. Also, and a really, really great book, 'A Different Drummer', by William Melvin Kelley, it's quite a giant of a novel. Thanks for the videos, if nothing else they really lower my blood pressure! Oh, and a belated Happy Christmas...or an early one!
Oh I'm so glad you're enjoying Unsettled Ground, I think about that book ALLLL the time. Thanks so much for the recs, both new to me! Will add them to my list. Hoping to make a book video soon :))

Ridiculously festively charming. You must have the most stylish boat interior on the canal.
Ah thank you! More or less all down to the excellent choices of the original owners but I'll take it haha
17:11 Ooh! ...whirly tea candle carousel table ornaments transport me back to the family farm of childhood Christmases past 🎄🕯🕊🙏❤⚓
Whom ever films' and edits' these short film's does such a great job.❤
Thanks so much! Both of us film, I edit :)
I am SO INVESTED in Braunston Bakes

I think she's nearly a year behind "real time" in her releases if that helps at all.
We're a year in the past! Thank you for watching 🥰

Brian 🥹❤️ I do enjoy your comments. Thank you for the excellent advice haha. Kisses to Wallace and Cedric!
Holly!!!
I had been wondering why you were so far behind. It makes perfect sense now…just in time for Christmas 2024.
😊
It got to the point where it made more sense to be a year behind than 6 months 😅 at least it’s seasonally appropriate!
