I installed the same one on my 2011 Fatboy lo and it annoyed the heck out of me, my leg would press right up against it, except when cruising down the highway because I could move my right leg out. That thing gets hot hot! Once I got fed up with it I trimmed the bracket so could move it forward and it's perfect now!
Great vid man. I only laughed out loud when you dropped the second bolt because that's me EVERY time. Thanks for leaving that in so the rest of us feel normal.
That bike sounds pretty wicked. And thank you for the how-to video. I was curious where I would get the reading from. Glad to see I don't have to drill and tap anywhere.
My bike is a Wide Glide identical to yours aside from Big Radius exaust. The Big Radius made a huge difference. I had to loosen the front pipe and bracket in the back to give myself enough room to tighten up the sender unit with the oil pressure adapter. The top line was a bitch too but I got it just tight enough, used the hell out of pipe tape and loctite, and then used the little clamp provided to make sure the line isn't going anywhere. I'm praying it doesn't leak but as of right now I'm golden.
They are nice gauges I have the same one but, you have to forget about pressure when the engine gets hot because the gauge is located 12” above the sending unit/engine, will give you a zero pressure while idling, though I had lost pressure and started freaking out
Definitely wanna do this to my CVO Ultra! I just don't trust the dummy lights! If the sending unit goes out, you really have no idea if you have oil pressure or not! Thanks Brother, ride safe!!
Nice video & bike. The gauge looks sweet, but not a big fan of how the line runs across P/R , think it would look better with a longer line to tuck up by the tank or something ?? But good video brother. Oh & nice Blade!! Lol
I finally installed my one I’m stuck at the oil sender I got short shots on and I can’t get socket on it I don’t see having the room to fit the adapter it’s all so close to the header stock form
Hey Great Show O'Boy, Happy to see ya enjoy a little JD Old #7, which is my favorite too. I Never Drink and Ride at the same time friend.. I always pull over ta have a sort then Ride-ON. Just Joking,, Always Ride safe today so Ya can ride again tomorrow.
Does it got in your legs way? I have my knee hitting the elbow if my heavy breather this seems like it's something else in the way I'm finally getting used to the heavy breather elbow.
I started laughing the moment you started to put the longer bolts in! I did the same thing when I installed mine last year. LOL. But at least you had yer seat off, so it wasn’t a big deal...Nice vid!
So ….. as an Australian Male that doesn't read directions, does this mean the wife, girlfriend or the wife's girlfriend reads them to you? I only ask, because I am finding many similarities with you "Professional Australians" and us Outback want-a-bees. Except of course, you folk are way more professional. Nice looking oil gadget. I always figured the oil pressure was low, when everything locked up. This is probably a less expensive solution, huh?
Nice work, damn destructions who needs them...lol (me...Shhh ) Your right, it doesn't look half bad. Compliments her a treat. Glad it's you and not me, I dont know $#!+ mechanically. Tfs 💋
@@SkidPig I like the look of the instrument and its placement. I do not like the look of the hose and routing. Way better on 1340 EVO as I have this on my FXR and my FXSTS. It originates directly below the gauge placement on those bikes using metal line. Similar to brake line metal. Looks way better.

Great video mate! The bolts supplied with my kit won't go into the rockers 🤔
Brock Neilson oh really that sucks

Which pressure gauge did u use? I’m looking one digital for my fast Johnnie too
Awesome look. What pressure do you have when fully warm up on idle, and approx 2000 RPM?
Wow, us American guys are the same. What instructions?
🤙
A1 cycles gauge easier and less fittings to leak cheaper too

great job, can you please explain why the oil appears to have gone into the dial? Or is it a camera reflection?
To Stop the needle bouncing
its a oil filled gauge from the factory, its there to stabilize the needle,
Did your oil gauge ever start leaking? And is it still holding up?
Never leaked and still going strong mate
Mine leaks
Great video sir. Do you remember the size of the socket you used to remove the the pressure sensor?
No idea mate sorry
15/16. just did mine. better off building it backwards.
Does it interfere with the Leg ?
No but I'm 6 foot 2

It does drop but not to no pressure
@@SkidPig That's not good then. I installed this Guage After I Installed An S&S 585 Cams ,Cam Chest and Oil pump. . Thanks for the Reply 👍

Awesome vid bro, after my oil pump went out on me I feel like I should get one of those. Just to know that my pressure is always good 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Jmac7o7 yeah mate, cheap price of mind!!
Are you from Montana ?
Australia
Bad boy, bad boy, bad boy...where ?
Kinda of useful if you have two left hands..... but really, you did not mention once any toque specs whats so ever.... cant figure?
As tight as you can go with one finger is my rule
How about to assamble the oil gauge into front cylinder? Does anyone did that?
If the bolts line up, I don't see why not
Ya it would face the front of the bike though instead of facing to you on the seat.
