Looks nice. For future reference you don't need thread sealant on AN fittings. They seal at the flare not using the threads.

BEWARE I ACCIDENTALLY STATED 120 FOOTPOUNDS FOR THE TORQUE ON THE HEADBOLTS. ITS 120 INCH POUNDS OR 10 FOOT POUNDS
120 inch pounds = 10 foot pounds

are you sure the rocker cover bolt's are 120 foot pound's. im sure you meant to say inch pounds-i like the gauge location but not sure about the line routing would like it for my street bob .good vid as usual bud
You're dead right mate, I didn't even realize I said foot pounds until you pointed it out to me.
Don’t like to be “that guy” but are the rocker box cover bolts really torqued to 120lbft of torque? Other than that awesome informative video and good recording most can’t do both. Keep up the good work 🤘🏻
All good man, I cocked up. If you look at the 1st comment I pinned you will see I listed the correct torque setting.

It is pretty bloody loud mate but not unbearable. It's not as loud as the Vance and Hines short shots.

Unfortunately there's no update on new wheels yet, I just bought a road/trail bike so I'll have to start saving my pennies for the rims

Nope I've since sold the bike. I'd only wrap my exhaust if it was covered in scratches and I wanted to hide them. I prefer the look of exhausts unwrapped
Is the oil discharge plug you removed 1/4 or 1/8" NPT? And thanks for posting!

Mate I'd love to but there's only one small dealership out my way and they dnt do demo rides unfortunately. Maybe sometime in the future I'll go to Sydney and do one, once this coronavirus buggers off 👍

Did you install the pushrod covers yourself, or have that done by a mechanic? I dig the blacked out look on those with the rest of the bike.
The pushrod covers were installed by the mechanic when I had the toque cam installed 👍

Sorry mate, I'd love to help you out but I don't have this bike anyone. Best thing to do would be get a piece of string and roughly route it the same way I have on my bike. Then measure the string.

More of a nice to have than need to have. But great job. Does it get in the way a bit with your leg. Looks like you'd probably end up resting your thigh on it.
It's does come pretty close to the leg but doesn't touch it 👍 it's a safety measure to remind me to wear pants when riding as it gets quite warm 🤣🤣🤣

Awesome video, is bracket with guage not in you your way when sitting position as you riding or flat feet on ground when stopping as well as backing up when necessary?
No mate I havnt touched my leg on the guage get, I'm 5 foot 9 so not particularly tall my leg sits about an inch above the gauge

120 ft/lbs, and you are using an inch/lb tension wrench. Wheel studs nuts on motor vehicles are 100ft/lbs
Correct, was a slip of the tounge. Definantly not ft/lbs. As you can see im using an inch/lb torque wrench.

I bought it off ebay mate. I haven't seen the same ebay seller advertise anymore but I know its the A1 cycles oil pressure guage. A1 cycles is an American company and I believe they don't post internationally.

Oil pressure gauge looks good. That’s on my to do list also. Well last time I text you I told you I was going to do Stage ll to my 16FLSS. But apparently it’s illegal for HDD to do here in California💩 🤦🏻♂️ So I’m just going to wait till my warranty is over... Have you rode your bike with your new oil gauge does it hit your knee when riding..?
I've sat on the bike with the gauge and my legs don't touch it but it does come fairly close. If you're shorter than me 5 foot 9 I'd say your leg would touch which is a pain cause the gauge gets pretty warm.

If you have long legs there won't be an issues with it touching your leg. I'm only 5 foot 9 and my leg missed the guage by two inches. I never felt any heat from it.

Mate I bought mine off eBay and it definantly is the A1 cycles oil pressure gauge despite me getting ahold of A1 cycles through their website and asking them if it would fit my softail which they said no. The seller I purchased the gauge from no longer advertises them for sale on eBay.

Can you please tell me what number of Loctite thread sealant can be used instead of Permatex High Performance Thread Sealant 50ml 56521 ???
I'd go with the loctite 567 high temp sealant.

Could you tell me what’s size diameter is the braided oil line and the fittings? I’ve purchased the same oil pressure gauge and want to cut my won oil line and fittings to install in a different location. I want to make my own bracket to avoid cutting the heat defectors.

Dude that plug on the engine come out that easy I can’t get mine out I have a 3/8 drive on it and it won’t move at all scared it might break the case Any ideas
I've got no pointers there mate, as you saw mine wasnt crazy tight, I also used a 3/8 drive. Maybe take the bike for a spin and get the head nice and warm and try again.

Does the oil pressure gauge come in contact with you leg while sitting on the bike like at a stop sign with your feet on the ground?
Nope my leg doesn't touch it. For my height of 5,9 I do have pretty long legs.
What is the psi at running temperature idle. Mine reads zero at completely running temperature at idle. I know i have oil pressure. I have no oil light or lifter noise.

@@TheGingybeardMan I meant what is your psi when completely heated up. Not what the service manual says it should be.

@@TheGingybeardMan mine is too at 2000 rpms. At idle it is zero. After the motor is completely warmed up. Just hard to look at a mechanical oil pressure gauge reading zero at any point with the engine running.
@@1962egl I wouldn't be too worried about that, as long as your showing the required pressure at 2500 revs when warm it shows its getting oil pressure.

Its not required to drain the oil beforehand
Does it ever go past 60? I installed mine and it maxes out past 3500

No mate it's a 2019

@@allan9584able no I havnt updated the oil pump. I do believe the 2019 model had a revised oil pump over the 2018. However I've heard they have updated the oil pump again with the 2020 models but not 100% sure on that
