    I rarely comment on videos but I just want to say that this is one of the best things I have seen in a long time. I understand photography and videography to a certain degree - probably better than most people that are not big into it - but everything you state here is relevant. Also Your eye for the cinematography element is insane. I always find this harder than getting balances of ISO, balance etc. much more difficult to achieve. The final part of your video where you put it all together is beautiful. Thank you for posting this. I hope more people get inspired by your very easy to understand descriptions of what you are doing and why.

    Thanks for the great tips & tricks. Being new to drones and action cam's it's a been a big learning curve. Practice, practice, practice is all I can say. It's not perfect overnight but the more you go out and find different locations to fly and try the better you will get.

    Hello Jeven. Thank you for the excellent video on tips and tricks for shooting drone videos and images. Yes, the ole photography triangle solution. This was a perfect reminder to get out of auto mode and use the camera setting as they should be used. I always enjoy your filming at the Rock Monument since I'm not far from there in the neighboring harbor town. In fact, I went to the High School just down the street long before the buildout. Again, thank you for this helpful video that every drone pilot can use regardless of your drone. Take Care!

    I agree for 30fps for social media. Most screens are divisible by 30fps, where 24fps on a phone or 60 hz monitor will have a weird jitter. i found making your timeline 30fps, and making your content in 30, 60, or 120 all works the smoothest together in a 30fps timeline. My drone shots used to be 24 fps and they never played well on youtube or instagram.

    • @sebastian1055
      @sebastian1055 ปีที่แล้ว

      24fps is Hollywood Cinematic standard, why wouldn't you aim for that frame rate. That is my dilema. 25fps is the country standard where I come from.

    If you shoot at 60 fps and you are not going to make it a slow motion video, then you should use the shutter speed of 1/60. Gerald Undone has made a great example video of this. Search for gerald undone motion blur

    • @JevenDovey
      @JevenDovey  ปีที่แล้ว +26

      If you're not going to slow down your footage then you should shoot at 30 or 24 fps. Less data and you get the benefit of HQ mode

    • @jonnanieminen8848
      @jonnanieminen8848 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JevenDovey well it depends what you are shooting. For fast action sports 60 fps is often better. What is HQ mode?
      By the way, the correct white balance for midday is 6500 K

    • @jonnanieminen8848
      @jonnanieminen8848 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JevenDovey I almost always shoot 60 fps with the exposure of 1/60. The reason for that is that I can either simply drop every other frame for 30 fps timeline or make a slow motion. Of course in some fast moving scenes there will be too much motion blur but for many other shots it's perfectly fine to make it slower
