    I often use my drone Pro to blow leaves off of my and my neighbor's roofs. No need to climb ladders and safer for sure! Not only that, but cleaning roofs of leaves is good practice on drone control.

    I like the idea of stock videos/photographs. Not even so much for the money as for the idea I might make something cool that ends up being part of something bigger. :)
    I also like the ideas of shooting for real estate agents and businesses, but as the Mini 3 is my first drone I want to get some more practice before feeling confident enough for that.

    One thing I learned it never do anything for free, you can showcase your skills many ways. Take something even if its 20-50 bucks, never take "Ill refer you to a my family and friends if you do it for free"

    • @RickyL305
      @RickyL305 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes and no, I agree to not do anything for free but a profolio needs to be established for newcomers. In regards to family and very close in person friends, of course many of us whom are family oriented would not charge them anything and that as a result could gain the profolio needed and just charge others.

    • @Andyrewk
      @Andyrewk ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @@Fox_Pawtography absolutely the big sections to know are the main rules for drones like the 400 ft, registering, remote ID stuff. The second is How to read a TAF or METAR which I recommend just learning the pattern of how they are listed and then it will make that much easier. Once you know it’s order it’s kinda hard to forget and is actually fairly simple especially since it is a standard and always written the same. Lastly definitely know your Airspace class E, D, C and so forth. One other set of questions is the pilot attitudes, like Macho, Or impulsive, of which all of this info is on the FAAs website. It’s a lot but if you can get a grasp on those things, the test won’t be too hard. Ohhhhh and one more big one I can’t believe I almost forgot but you definitely should know how to read a sectional chart that’s one of the biggest chunks next to weather. To learn it I suggest getting a Physical copy of the exam book from Amazon (like $15) and get used to using it while taking the practice exams. It makes your practice much closer to the real thing. Plus the sectional chart supplement also has map keys and what the symbols mean and as long as you know where that is you’ll be able to answer some questions just by looking on the key from the book. Almost a cheat sheet.

    • @Andyrewk
      @Andyrewk ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You need to know weather stuff to like the different types of fog, types of clouds, cloud base, things of that nature. Lenticular clouds will probably also be on the test. Hope all this helps. Again it seems like a lot but if you can get a grasp on those sections you should be able to at least pass. However I always recommend trying to continue to learn and continuing to improve especially since this is a field that is rapidly changing at the moment. Drones are still very young.

    I studied all the older 107 test and was able to achieve anywhere from 95% to 100% on accuracy of all questions. I understood two weeks ago the 2024 107 exam was coming out that Thursday therefore I i rushed to get an appointment in for the tuesday before. I was informed at the center that the 2024 test came out monday instead. With all the new laws that came out and different questions, i did indeed pass the exam however i was not happy with my results but at least i passed. I have not found any TH-cam video that covers full details on the exam nor have a found any drone school that has everything. There was four or five questions on the test that was from previously years test but that was about it. The charts are a must to still do of course. Just encouraging all to get the new study materials where they can. Unfortunately many will be caught off guard on the renewal or if they studied past materials.

You really made the decision clearer for me in purchasing the Mini 3 Pro and I wanted to know what would be your best recommendation in regards to a portable computer and photo/video editing software for processing drone footage? I was looking into a Macbook Pro or the Macbook Air with Final Cut Pro. I would appreciate your response and thank you once again for the great content you put out.

      @YankeesGamer You can always ask them what they think the video or still shots you create for them is worth to them. As a beginner, you'll most likely have to do some stuff pro-Bono just to get experience, and to get your name out there. Thanks for the video and valuable insight. I don’t think is right that you need a license part 107 from the FAA to shot videos for TH-cam as a recreational flyer is unconstitutional is in violation of the first amendment on two accounts a TH-cam video is some cases is not for profit and there’s no guarantees that a TH-camr is going to make money for posting a video another way of putting it is taxation without representation.
