    Just got mine this week after watching the review. It's a really nice bow, my only gripe is the leather on the string grooves makes a noise when I'm just getting to full draw that sounds a lot like cracking wood and is a bit off putting. Hopefully it goes away once I have shot it a bit more. Thanks for the in depth review.

    Gloves like those are seemingly hard to come by, I try to find similar gloves like that here just can't, unless go thru a custom leather crafter. Might have to get a bow from Freddie Archery just to get the glove. lol But as always, great review.

  • @HaykAmirbekyanTKD
    @HaykAmirbekyanTKD 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks Armin! What's the difference between the Warrior and the Dragon (other than the decorations/color)? Do you think this bow has no stacking because it has a lower draw weight than the other bows you have shot and tested? Do you have another Korean bow of the same draw weight to compare it to? Also - How does this bow compare to a YMG in smoothness of draw, and speed? I'm planning to get either a custom Authentic KTB2 at 90#, a YMG at 90#, a Hwarang at 90#. I would love for you to do a review of the Hwarang. I love the look of the "Authentic KTB2" the most, but does the extra wrapping (Birch bark) actually slow down the bow compared to these "Naked" bows?

    • @ArminHirmer
      @ArminHirmer  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      At 90# I think the birch does not do anything :) i still would go with the YMG even if the KTB2 looks better

      @@ArminHirmer what's faster a Warrior or a YMG at the same weigh (eg 40#)? would love a direct comparison with the same arrows. I think Warrior should be faster at 40#. YMG only makes sense to buy over 55#. I think I'm going to get a Hwarang at 90# and a warrior at 55#. I wonder which will shoot faster,

    umm ... dude ... that glove goes on the hand holding the bow, to protect it from the arrow and fletching, seeing as your hand is the "arrow shelf" or "arrow rest".
    Lets see ... 40 pounds at 31 inches ... you lose roughly on average 2.5 pounds per inch under the rated draw length. At 28 inch you're 3 inches under, so will lose about 7.5 pounds draw weight, giving you roughly 32 ~ 32.5 pounds.
    Not legal to hunt big game with in any where in North America that I know of. There are a couple Eastern states, (Maine is one of them, I forget the other at ths monent,) that require a minimum of 35 pounds, but the rest require a minimum of 40 pounds for whitetail deer, and 45 or 50 for larger such as Elk, Moose and bear, where available.
    Note that the minimums ARE AT THE USER'S DRAW LENGTH, in every jurisdiction in North America. (I haven't checked the hunting regulations anywhere in Central or South America.)
    I am deformed and have a short draw length. 24.5 inch with a conpound bow and roughly 21 ... maybe 22 inch using any other type of vertical bow. (different anchor point)
    My 70 pound draw at 28 inches takedown recurve has a 47.8 pound draw weight at my draw length.
    I bought the 70 pounder so I would have a bow that is legal for me to hunt with.

      @ArminHirmer  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Steve, this glove is specially made for the draw hand :)
