I am trying to render the fills of a mesh with a single multiple materials but i only renders one... I am keeping a single mesh because it is an animated mesh (with armature). Is it possible to render all colors? I am defining the fill colors in the viewport display.

great tutorial, but for some reason when I try to output an animated svg it flashes.... can't find any solution for this.

this is my trial for rendering in animation ,

it works, but not smooth perfectly.
I forget the settings now. maybe try to set line style, see if this works

I am getting a view port shading like black and white output in the folder. Not sure where I am going wrong. :( . The render result is however colour. But I can save it only as a PNG.

I guess that the 3D object has not material, so showing black and white in viewport shading. Try to apply a material and change its base color.
And, check if all the 4 boxes checked on Freestyle in render properties and view later properties, to export SVG. Hope this helps.

Is there any way to actually export a rendered object, so the exported .svg file looks exactly like the rendered object?

in theory , SVG is a vector file, but rendering is a image file. they are 2 kinds of file when exporting from Blender.
We could composite them in post-processing.

Yes of course!
We can apply all modifier, and scale it with your preferred size. Then export to 3D file.

I love Freestyle, but what always keeps on happening is that it exports a lot of double lines and sometimes it breaks up lines into small segments. So I have to write scripts to rejoin all the lines, but sometimes it's not possible due to line endings not meeting up. Eventually I stopped using it.
