@@CherylBrown-bf9zd It sounds like the body of water you fish just has a lot of little fish. Absoultely, I should have mentioned you might need to use a bigger hook as well! I haven't caught a ton of striped bass (so I'm by no means an expert on them), but I've caught them on spoons, crankbaits, and other lures that are shiny/flash. Topwater poppers are also really good when they're feeding on the surface.

That's a great option I’ll sneak in a swim bait to replace a Texas rig every now and then!
The only problem I have with the Texas rig is that no fish that bite are big enough to eat the whole hook 😢
The little ones definitely like it too!
You might try using a bigger soft plastic to discourage the smaller fish from biting.
