I enjoy your voice over among all wood working you tubers. The work you do is high quality, the out takes are needed. They remind and encourage everyone, regardless of skill to work wood, we all make mistakes, over coming and correcting them is hobby wood working. The end result is seen in the beautiful looking valet stand!
That drawer bottom should be a little undersized, anyway, to allow for a tiny bit of movement with changes in humidity. Sure, plywood doesn't move nearly as much as solid boards, but it's still going to move a little. And it looks like your wife gives excellent instructions. You made it pretty.
Absolutely stunning! Stepping out of your comfort zone really paid off with this! Drawers... the outtakes, my day in a nutshell. Absolute bane of my existence.
I think this may be the prettiest thing I’ve seen you make so far. The design is lovely and practical. The grain of the walnut and curly maple is just gorgeous. I love everything about it. Now I just need to get someone to make one for me.
Really, really sharp. I think we will be seeing that style showing up in the wood working world a whole new style. Just beautiful. By the way, loved the Tommy Boy t-shirt - made me think about Tommy doing the Maniac dance at the gas station...classic. Well done as always.
That looks great, Drew. The color combination of the woods and the innovation in the shape make it a one-of-a-kind that can become an heirloom. Thanks. I will say, I miss your videos being as frequent as they once were. I know life keeps us busy. I hope all is well and look forward to your next project.
Great video as always Drew! Beautiful piece too. When you were trying to take the draw bottom out you could have just shaved it down with a block plane instead of struggling. But of course then we wouldn't have had the outtake. 😀
Turned out very nice....love watching the outtakes, especially when you were trying to get the bottom out of the drawer. The whole time I'm thinking just run it through the table saw, or use a plane to shorten it. No need to pull it out IMHO...but it was funny watching you struggle. lol
I'm not much a fan of using sap wood, but in this project, it really set off the finger joints and made all the labor involve pay off handsomely! Great job. And even greater job "translating" your wives drawing!
That is some of the most stunning timber I have ever seen. And the furniture piece itself turned out great. I think this video is one of your best. Cheers mate. 👍🍺🇦🇺🇺🇸👍
Absolutely beautiful piece of woodworking Drew! If I ever get caught up on my projects I’d love to build that for my son in law and daughter. I have a nice supply of walnut myself! You had me going with the Charlie Sheen line!
This is a stunningly beautiful piece Drew!!! I've watched all your videos and think it's the most awesome of all. I'm sure your wife is thrilled with it. The figure in the walnut and curly maple is spectacular. Your design is gorgeous. It's a piece you should be so proud of!!!
I gotta say that I have no need or desire for a valet and thought them boring as they are normally too weak and frail looking. I watched the video well because its one of yours and therefor worth it. As usual it was worth more than the video's running time. Another great job sir. Except for one thing now I want one....
This reminds me of Marc’s fan table, but after comparing them I see that yours is much more difficult to make. His thin strips went completely through the slots but yours had to fit into the notches. Yours also have an elegant S shape vs splaying out. What an amazing way to improve on an already great design. Great job Drew.
Just found your channel and man you make good stuff but the best is its entertaining and power to you 👏also watched the tribute to your dad, just brilliant thank you for sharing.
Beautiful! I would never have thought of those slats. Thanks for showing the little parts that needed to be filled. I struggle with these all the time and feel I am not very good because I have to fix these small spots where I did not get everything cut perfectly and I have a gap. I end up spending twice as long as I should and redoing too much instead of just filling the void and going on. Maybe seeing others having those same issues will help me not be so OCD about them.
Please add to your TH-cam video "To-Do List": Fusion 360 tutorial. The model is absolutely beautiful and I would love to see you design a project from the beginning. Awesome build!
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for showing such a nice variety of joinery. (You might want to consider my go-to shortcut and install the glides before assembling the cabinet)
Another amazing project, thanks for posting! I’d make one for myself, but I just grab a Carhartt shirt and a pair of Wranglers every day, and they match right up like Garanimals.
I was watching Downton Abbey this evening (hey, don't judge me!) with my bride and did a double take. in the bonus features, I spotted a valet stand that was very similar to the one you created for your bride. Perhaps the TV show inspired your bride's detailed blueprint for the stand.
Oh really? Nah... I never even made it all the way through the first episode. If there's no senseless violence or people getting blown up, then it's not my kind of show.
@@FishersShop It took several attempts at watching it before I could tolerate it and then I enjoyed it. It has its share of death and dismemberment during the WWI episodes, plus some deadly car crashes (none of them had huge explosions). For a gory story, you might read about Vladimir Kotlinsky, a WWI Russian soldier. It popped up on my WasteBook recently.
I love your table saw jig! It looks like you can customize templates for other projects. Pask Makes had one similar for his box hinges but no idea how he made it. Your work is perfect btw, valet stand is stunning, wow the maple popped in this piece. This stand is perfection and will be something cherished through the generations
With the description of your wife's drawing, I sure hope you will find the bed in the ICU comfortable! Jokes aside, thank you for this build, with the coming moving, I may add something similar in the new bedroom!
That's really nice, love that it pops the way it does..... nice to see you stuck to the wife's drawing !!!
Thanks 👍
Dude! DUDE! That is a thing of beauty! It's freaking artwork! What a show piece your wife now has!!!!
Thanks a bunch!
What a beautiful build! Thank you for trusting us to finish such an amazing project, Drew!
You bet! You make fantastic products
Bumblechutes all the way!!
The walnut is outstanding. The curly maple is too. Nice build. I expect your wife loves it. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂
Thanks, you too!
For a few pieces of wood lying around the finish and character is amazing.
Thanks 👍
Awesome! You make it look so easy!
What people don’t see is Drew’s incredible dedication to removing and sanding glue squeeze out on ev-ery-thing-uh!!
This is true.
That drawer bottom should be a little undersized, anyway, to allow for a tiny bit of movement with changes in humidity. Sure, plywood doesn't move nearly as much as solid boards, but it's still going to move a little.
And it looks like your wife gives excellent instructions. You made it pretty.
As you've already said, this is a very beautiful piece of craftsmanship!! Great job 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thanks!
I agree with you Drew, probably the prettiest piece in your collection. Great job
Thank you kindly
Damn, Drew! This time you went to far! 😮
Beautiful doesn't describe it! What a heck of a job!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
That figured wood is just magnificent!
Sitting here in awe! Beautiful craftsmanship and wonderful design.
👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you very much!
Charlie Sheen! Ha! 😃😃
That valet is some beautiful work, Drew. 👍
And good job single-handedly keeping flat-head screws alive 🫡
Thanks, Marc!
Just beautiful, I don't know what else to say, just beautiful. Thank you for letting me watch. ❤
You bet, thanks!
Absolutely stunning! Stepping out of your comfort zone really paid off with this!
Drawers... the outtakes, my day in a nutshell. Absolute bane of my existence.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Gotta love a good walnut Twinkie! It turned out awesome Drew! And the figure in that wood is ridiculous!
Each show is a presentation of your growing talent, or as the kids say, you are getting gooderer all the time.
I try
You absolutely crushed the execution, you mad man!
haha, thanks
Wow Drew, great project. Amazing grain on both the walnut and maple.
Thanks a bunch!
What an absolutely gorgeous piece! You really are a talented designer and builder, although your wife’s drawing was spot on.
Thank you very much!
I love the comedic patter. Beautiful woodwork too.
Thank you very much!
Thanks for the outtakes! It's so important to know how normal it is, that things go wrong to others, too. I like the way you handle these detours.
Thanks so much!
I think this may be the prettiest thing I’ve seen you make so far. The design is lovely and practical. The grain of the walnut and curly maple is just gorgeous. I love everything about it. Now I just need to get someone to make one for me.
It is absolutely an amazing piece of work and a great comedic narration to go along with it. You definitely have one of the best channels to watch
Wow, thank you!
Ah it killed me watching you pull the drawer bottom out just to trim a little off. My heart was saying, “just use a hand plane!”
Really, really sharp. I think we will be seeing that style showing up in the wood working world a whole new style. Just beautiful. By the way, loved the Tommy Boy t-shirt - made me think about Tommy doing the Maniac dance at the gas station...classic. Well done as always.
Thank you very much!
The curly maple is beautiful. I am in love with this build. I want one so much ❤
I subscribed for the quality woodworking, but the comedic value is also top notch. Love your channel
Thanks for the sub!
That looks great, Drew. The color combination of the woods and the innovation in the shape make it a one-of-a-kind that can become an heirloom. Thanks.
I will say, I miss your videos being as frequent as they once were. I know life keeps us busy. I hope all is well and look forward to your next project.
Thanks 👍
Unbelievable Drew! That looks so good.
Thanks a bunch, Gavin
Owh wow! You made a Minecraft wooden pickaxe! Cool build Drew, very beautiful as always.
Thanks a bunch!
Great video as always Drew! Beautiful piece too. When you were trying to take the draw bottom out you could have just shaved it down with a block plane instead of struggling. But of course then we wouldn't have had the outtake. 😀
Next time!
Charlie Sheen had met laughing out loud😂. Great build, as always, Drew!
😁
5:23 NICE. As for the project, it came out GREAT. That is a piece to be proud of! !! !!!
_"WINNING!"_
well done Fisher, nice piece
Turned out very nice....love watching the outtakes, especially when you were trying to get the bottom out of the drawer. The whole time I'm thinking just run it through the table saw, or use a plane to shorten it. No need to pull it out IMHO...but it was funny watching you struggle. lol
Hah, yeah... I got laser focused and my brain wasn't even thinking of alternatives
That was a lot of outtakes, Drew! I guess the build was...challenging.
It was!
I'm not much a fan of using sap wood, but in this project, it really set off the finger joints and made all the labor involve pay off handsomely! Great job. And even greater job "translating" your wives drawing!
Thank you very much!
Outstanding wood figure. Great design Drew
Thank you kindly
Your videos & projects are great! Kind of disappointed that your neighbor didn't provide any of the materials. :)
Oh I know the pain of that bottom being just a little too long and the fight to get it back out in time! Great job, Drew!
Thanks Pete
We have all had the moments when we forget to do a dry fit before we glue! Oppsies
That is some of the most stunning timber I have ever seen. And the furniture piece itself turned out great. I think this video is one of your best. Cheers mate. 👍🍺🇦🇺🇺🇸👍
Glad you liked it!
Gosh I can relate to so much of the outtakes.
Absolutely beautiful piece of woodworking Drew! If I ever get caught up on my projects I’d love to build that for my son in law and daughter. I have a nice supply of walnut myself! You had me going with the Charlie Sheen line!
Haha, thanks for watching, Jeff
You ain’t right, Dude. Nice work! Love the short takes!😂
Thanks! 👍
I’ve actually been thinking about making one for a while now. Thanks to Drew, I don’t have to design one, now.
Your outtakes are the best! Not only are you funny but so easy to relate every time!
Glad you like them!
Wow that maple, incredible! Well done.
Thank you very much!
This is a stunningly beautiful piece Drew!!! I've watched all your videos and think it's the most awesome of all. I'm sure your wife is thrilled with it. The figure in the walnut and curly maple is spectacular. Your design is gorgeous. It's a piece you should be so proud of!!!
Thank you so much 😀
WELCOME BACK DREW!!!!
Great build, Drew! That might just be the prettiest thing you've ever made! 😉
I think so too!
Oh wow awesome job what a beautiful piece of furniture my friend and I can't wait to see what you do next thank you for sharing your awesome creations
Thanks so much
I gotta say that I have no need or desire for a valet and thought them boring as they are normally too weak and frail looking. I watched the video well because its one of yours and therefor worth it. As usual it was worth more than the video's running time. Another great job sir. Except for one thing now I want one....
Haha thanks 😊
I was just thinking last night that I haven't seen anything new from you, and was going to reach out today. That looks amazing!
Thanks
Oh mam, you did absolutely fantastic job!👍🏻 As always!
Thank you! 😊
It was really cool to see how you incorporated the sap wood in the finger joints to go with the walnut/maple contrast
Yeah I love that part too
Incredible work and narration. Hats off...
Thanks
Key words, "She just loves it", Happy Wife, Happy Life.
You said it
this is one of the most beautiful pieces you’ve made so far i love it so much! especially after you applied the finish i was genuinely mesmerised😂
Thank you so much!
Another Quality Build¡!!!!!!!!! Maybe some day I have the skills, I doubt it.
Thanks
You can do it!
This reminds me of Marc’s fan table, but after comparing them I see that yours is much more difficult to make. His thin strips went completely through the slots but yours had to fit into the notches. Fabulous work dear Drew ❤
Thank you kindly
Just found your channel and man you make good stuff but the best is its entertaining and power to you 👏also watched the tribute to your dad, just brilliant thank you for sharing.
Welcome aboard! Thanks for that, Colleen
I love everything about this video. The awesome build and the fantastic jokes.
Glad you liked it! :)
Beautiful and I dig the commando lol
Outstanding work. The wood is amazing and so is your work.

Drew, you definitely succeeded making it beautiful. I thoroughly enjoy your humorous narration, unique designs and skill. Thank you for these videos.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice! Thanks for sharing Drew.
You bet
Love to do woodworking! But I also work swing shift so when I'm on nights I use this to go to sleep.
Wow you never fail my friend. Great job...
Thanks again!
What a beautiful piece! That turned out amazing!!
Thank you so much!

Some nice valet stand
That is a beautiful piece.
Please add to your TH-cam video "To-Do List": Fusion 360 tutorial. The model is absolutely beautiful and I would love to see you design a project from the beginning. Awesome build!
You had me at 'walnut twinkie'. 😘
Absolutely beautiful! Thanks for showing such a nice variety of joinery. (You might want to consider my go-to shortcut and install the glides before assembling the cabinet)
I thought that too, in fact I was expecting an: "oh crapski!" in the outtakes when Drew realised he hadn't attached them before assembly.😅
Another amazing project, thanks for posting! I’d make one for myself, but I just grab a Carhartt shirt and a pair of Wranglers every day, and they match right up like Garanimals.
Another great build! And I love the outtakes!
Thanks a bunch!
You are so talented. I was captivated thru the whole process of making that gorgeous valet. It turned out stunning. Happy Easter to the Fisher family.
Thank you! You too!
This is just awesome! I love watching wood artists at work.
Thank you very much!

You bet! Have fun with the build
Absolutely beautiful brother, love seeing it go from sketch to final piece!
Thank you so much 😀
Your videos always make me laugh, but I feel this one made me laugh so much more than usual 😂
Top notch humour, Drew. The stand also looks great.
Glad you enjoyed it
Beautiful woodworking as usual. Such a pleasure to watch a master at work.
Thank you very much!
Great video as always!
I appreciate that. Thanks Zach
I need neighbors like yours with better lumber supplies I can "borrow" 🤣
That looks awesome Drew, the figure in that timber looks amazing , great work again 👍
Thanks 👍
Beautiful piece Drew!
Thank you kindly!
That is gorgeous !! Fantastic work !
Thank you very much!
Your welcome
Thank you Drew, beautifully made and related clip.
Glad you enjoyed it
Really like what you built
