My little shop stool has gotten pretty rickety and unstable. It's definitely not safe for me to stand on to get things off my lumber rack anymore. I needed something that would be more stable and be a touch taller. I thought it would be nice to have a shop stool that could also double as a step ladder. With that in mind, I drew up a Fisher's Shop take on a common design for a step stool. This piece features a stable double A-frame designed stool with a nested set of steps that can flip out on an axle. This turned out to be a wonderful little addition to the shop! And with just half-lap and dado joinery, it was a cinch to put together. Check out the video and then pick up the plans to make yourself one of these handy little step-stools.
I watched it twice. Two just seemed to be the right number of times.

Even when the universe tries to tell you not to add the flathead screw, you persevere. I applaud your stubborn gumption.
Rub the screw over a bar of soap before trying to drive it in. It will make it slip right in. But a flathead screw is still bold choice!

My three year-old granddaughter commented that "glue is very, very quiet". She also pointed out when he was squaring boards on the jointer that the boards were rectangles, not squares. She's not very impressed with Drew.

This is exactly how I felt when my dad introduced me to Drew's videos. He's always telling me some anecdote from a video he's watched that I don't particularly care about (he's disabled so he spends most of his days watching TH-cam.) I just happened to be walking through one day and caught one of those silly jokes, and 18 months later, I don't miss a video!
