BMW Coding tools overview.Whats best for you BimmerCode, Esys Plus/Ultra/Launcher or Next maybe BU ?

Video is aimed at introducing variety of BMW coding and programing solutions for F,G,I series bimmer ranging from ones meant for begginers (BimmerCode), intermedaite (BimmerUtility and NeXt) and power users (Esys Ultra/ Launcher / Plus).
Keep in mind that this is higle level and subjective overview / comparison of basic functions that those tools offer as of today. You might have diffrent opinion /use cases/applications /experience therefore don't treat this as a comparison for which one is the best.

So is BimmerUtility essentially a launcher for Esys? Or do you still need an Esys launcher as well?

BU is a standalone program that in newest revision for certain things doesnt require esys at all

where did you download e-sys plus and did you need bimmer utility to use e-sys for mapping ?

download link is available on on E.P. website and with B.U. you do everything within the tool - esys is only used to read and write.

What about PROTOOL bimmerworks.

never used it and I don't see need for it if you have dedicated tools and software for BMW group vehicles. If you're just an enthusiast that doesn't want to deal with Esys, Ista, NCS, winkfp then it might be worth for such person.
