i have a question is Esys free to use ? or we should buy the licence and also is there any free document for knowing which modules should we update for specific feture we want to update

Yes you just need to read the data first and save the file. Then you can edit anytime

I have a 2015 f12 m6 will it mess up anything updating the idrive to the latest?
If you mean flashing the idrive version then as long as you don’t brick it, should be fine
I have to say that it has long been the first video I have seen in such detail and intelligible. Do you only allow the ignition to run on the entire encodings or do you let the engine run? I ask because I am always afraid that the battery no longer has enough energy and that I can destroy a control unit. Anyway, I hope you make some coding videos about the BMW F10 with Esys.

hey buddy, how do you update the firmware? i am trying to get fullscreen but my firmware does not support full screen. thank you !
You can either request the dealer to do it when you take it for service (that’s what I did) or look up on youtube for a tutorial using e-sys on how to flash the firmware. Side note, apparently///M cars do not support full screen

I coded SAT 2TB to my BMW F31 and everything is fine. However, do you know what must be coded to appear in the instrument cluster S1, S2... instead of DS? Thank you.
DS is when you put it in sport transmission mode but S1, S2 etc is when it’s in step tonic mode and you manually shift

You can find some people made an excel file online with what modules can be programmed

Should be the same way. The actually values to find might be very slightly different. I would check out some forums to be sure

For carplay you will most likely need to pay for a FSC code
@@cs.studios I can do that but to be honest I didn’t find anywhere how to buy one or where is the option to activate it and to put the code.. is like a top secret feature 😂
Most places should give you a file that you put on a usb and it should pop up on the idrive system
Hi! Nice initiative teaching how to code via E-SYS! I have a Way 2020-1 M1941D1R HeadUnit on a F48 BMW X1 and I've been told that I need to update my iDrive to 6 (which I think I have because it is the same the video and have touchscreen) to be able to active the fullscreen CarPlay. Can you help me with that? Thank you so much!
Full screen CarPlay requires newer idrive software. Check the description for CarPlay part that needs to be set and see if it works

Try changing the value I put in the description for full screen CarPlay and see if it works. If it doesn’t then you will have to look up a guide on how to flash a newer version of the idrive software on your vehicle

Did it break from esys? If so if you have the original file backed up you can restore it.

Do i need icom and battery charger for id4 to id6?
I think id4 to 5/6 requires new idrive unit? Maybe if you have a later one then you might be able to flash with icom
Hi, is there a way to code the parking brake to engage after shutting down the engine?
I haven’t found any code to mod for that, may need to look around the f10 forums maybe someone else has done it
I have a 640i gran coupe 2015. I believe it has NBT ID4. So the older version. Should I follow the same steps ?
I believe that one should have the same folders as mine. Maybe not NBT2 but NBT. It was CIC that was different.

Same steps. We don’t get the latest idrive, it requires all new hardware

Yup any F series BMW. This tutorial focuses on newer models with NBT Evo since most tutorials were for CIC.

ID6 lite doesn’t add full screen carplay. You need to update the head unit software itself to version X or newer

Yes, it should work on any F chassis BMW regardless of series

Yes some of the names might be different. Like mine says nbt yours will probably be cic
