As the composer, I can only say how utterly gratifying it is to hear a performance such as this! There is a magical perfection in the technical achievement, but more importantly there is an understanding of the atmosphere I wished to create in each piece. Listening to them here brought them alive for me all over again. Thank you Jisu Jung and Vic Firth.
Peter Klatzow Hello, I am a student studying percussion in Hong Kong, may I know if there's any way I may be able to get a hold of the score for this piece? Thank you for your marvelous composition.
Too sad. Today, Dec. 31st 2021, I found a notice this great composer had passed away. 😢 R.I.P., Peter Klatzow. This was the first time I listened to you.
Yes thanks are in order, I almost hate to admit it but I must thank the techno gods for permitting me to discover this total surprise as I followed a thread from nowhere to here. Thanks to all who participated in this small miracle
Very reminiscent of the Musser Etudes. After these many years, what a wonderful addition to the marimba repertoire. We have not had an addition of interesting textures with contemporary implementations in many years. Bravo to Mr. Klatzow for sharing his viewpoints of marimba composition. In addition, many kudos to Ms. Jung for her commanding performance of these musical episodes.
Watched Regular Car Reviews and he compared the over steer on a honda civic to that of a concert marimba... I had no idea what a marimba was so here I am.
You really have a uniquely idiomatic style of writing for the marimba, Peter. I particularly liked the last study with its shimmering background with fragments of plangent chant emerging from it.
+Peter Klatzow hi im a percussionist and im studying and I want to present this awesome piece in my graduation. In interest to pay directly if you agree with me :) please I'm begging you 😬
Twoset made me google this. Thanks twoset. This is epic.

It all started the day she learned to use chop sticks.
