Thank you for watching today's #LetsWatch, and shout out to Ryan Hodges and Robbie Darling for today's amazing performances! You can check out their full videos in the description :) Let me know what you think of their performances in the comments below! And sorry for the late uploads!!! I've just returned from Taiwan and Japan this morning and now playing catch up on the next few episodes...but they're coming and they're good I promise :))) #TheStudioFamily
i guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a way to log back into an Instagram account..? I was dumb lost my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
Congratulation to Robbie, wonderful performance and thank you very much for playing my music! Of course congratulation for Ryan too, great performance! Big hug for you Adam! All the best
Adam Tan its funny that you mentioned Gordon’s Bicycle by Kevin Bobo because the piece is actually dedicated to him and I’m studying with Kevin Bobo right now!
I was there at the Central Cal competition, and the reason why the stage was so messy is because it was set up for command performances. His performance was the college marimba command performance and the other stuff was for the other categories' CP's. That was also the room where the ensemble competition took place! Seeing that dude play this live was insane you should've seen people's faces LMAO
Adam Tan I was there too, but I got 3rd for solo marimba. Robbie was incredible haha. The stage was set for percussion ensemble, and in about 5 Minutes, set the stage for command performances.
The second piece really does evoke a Spanish feel, which is something I really enjoy! Greetings from Portugal from a composer and, in my case, intermediate level percussion player.
That symphonic marimba piece is one of those pieces that you can only run once a day because you're absolutely burnt out after playing it all the way through 😂😂
Hi adam. Can you do videos on xylophone please? My school only has a xylophone because we can't afford a marimba and I'd love to learn more about my instrument. Thanks!
That is Symphonic Marimba by Claudio Santangelo. I am 17 years old, 11th grade also studying it for the olympiad. It is hard af but I have to admit that guy plays it better than me. Question is, can you?
Ryan's playing is IN...CRE...DI...BLE!!! That part @6:00 was so crazy that guy raised his hand in disbelief lol. I loved how you played that theme too.
Hey! I would love it if you did some xylophone content! I’ve started mallet percussion this year after years of brass and plucked string instruments, and I’m playing xylo/glock for my marching band. I would love to learn more about it and see your take on it.
I would love to send a video, but it’s nerve wracking knowing that my composition isn’t hard at all, and it’s not long either. I might cave and send it in one day
Uma dica : fique calado enquanto eles estão tocando. Fiz questão de fazer a crítica no meu idioma pra parecer mais gentil, porque ao contrário disso fiquei bastante irritado
Competition and sport dont relate. There are literally baking competitions and other stuff like that. Just because it is a competition doesnt mean they are calling it a sport
Music is such a broad thing, there can be “music sports” and “music competitions” that are entirely separate. Drum corps, for example, could very well be argued to be a sport. However, just solo playing for points is just a competition. Music isn’t just related to purely creative art, Y’know.

You did an awesome job man!! Wish I'd been able to see it live! 😁
Bro that was awesome 👌
Played in high school with robbie(the second guy) and I can confirm that he practiced those laterals A LOT. God status 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Haha he is AMAZING
actually painful how long that would have taken to get that good at laterals
Congratulation to Robbie, wonderful performance and thank you very much for playing my music! Of course congratulation for Ryan too, great performance!
Big hug for you Adam!
All the best
literally the dude that wrote the piece is here, I love that
As an American, I can approve of the accent attempt

Thank you so much for the video and the comments!
Thank you for an insane performance!! Those laterals are amazing 😅

Legend status
Everyone's here talking about the performance and I spent the first 3 minutes marveling at the fact that they have more than one stick in each hand🤣
Robbie be like:
👐🏻
😆😆😆✌️
WOW!! I want to play these kinds of pieces for a solo performance! Our band needs a 5 octave marimba.
Zaiden Allen haha our high school band has TWO! #Blessed
I'm in middle school band that's probably why.
Kevin Hatley my high school band has like 4

I see... So they had little time to move stuff I guess? Yes that would have been awesome live 😅

@@kylebossert6514 what piece did you perform?
THis is actually so cool, I went to the Jacobs School of music for half a year, and Robbie was a freshman percussionist like me!
The second piece really does evoke a Spanish feel, which is something I really enjoy!
Greetings from Portugal from a composer and, in my case, intermediate level percussion player.
This performance is perfect technically and stylistically
9:44 I saw him at that performance, he is one crazy player
Ianmcf2003 thank you!
Mother: YU NO WIN!!! YU NO COME HOME
Oh that's accurate 😳😳😳
my friend got a full ride scholarship to any college in america by winning a national marimba solo competition
What competition?
Yoooooo, the marimba that Robbie is playing on is mineee!!
You might not even see this but it would be so cool if you made an ensamble piece for our percussion class to play this spring
That symphonic marimba piece is one of those pieces that you can only run once a day because you're absolutely burnt out after playing it all the way through 😂😂
The first guy was flexing way too hard man. Crazy
10:08 thumnail
I know nothing about this instrument but your enthusiasm, and passionate commentary made is a visceral experience for me :)
Hi adam. Can you do videos on xylophone please? My school only has a xylophone because we can't afford a marimba and I'd love to learn more about my instrument. Thanks!
If you can play it slow...
...you can play it fast.
How did the 2nd guy not get burnt out halfway through?!
Picked up this piece awhile ago. To think that a high schooler played this 🤯🤯
That is Symphonic Marimba by Claudio Santangelo. I am 17 years old, 11th grade also studying it for the olympiad. It is hard af but I have to admit that guy plays it better than me. Question is, can you?
Claudio Santegelo is my best friend hahaha. I recognize. he is really famous in italy. he teaches in conservatory of foggia now😀

i find this all incredible
I'd love a close up to see exactly what his hands are doing.
Yo Ryan Hodges used to go to my school
I would love to send a video, but it’s nerve wracking knowing that my composition isn’t hard at all, and it’s not long either. I might cave and send it in one day
amazing, brilliant thank you
shhhhhhh........ let the man play 🤦 guy is a master and you won't shoosh so it can be enjoyed... 😎
Mission failed we’ll get them next time 😂😂😂
They had to replace the keys after this because that fire melted the strings
I watch way too much cinemasins to just ignore the 60 seconds of ads.
Wow nice video saludos desde España :()()
I think I know that guy....Robbie?
Hmm weird
Gabby Stempien weirddd
So... your whole channel is reaction videos?
Haha it's not at all, there's way more non reaction content than there is reactions
React to Christoph Sietzen
He is awesome :)
Robby took this piece too fast

Your mic is too loud.
You talk to much on the best moments
I mean you can always just go and watch the original video in the description 😂
Less talking more listening
Haha ok thanks William
I don’t like music comoetitions. Music is not a sport
This is a good point!!
Competition and sport dont relate. There are literally baking competitions and other stuff like that. Just because it is a competition doesnt mean they are calling it a sport
Drumsy 24 facts
Sebastian Lindland imagine thinking a competition is limited to sports.
