    I've been doing the Monday - Wednesday - Friday down day routine for a couple of weeks. This really has jump started my weight loss, which had stalled. On my down days I usually make a homemade soup with bone broth stock and beef or chicken with some veggies. I can have a huge bowl of soup for 500 calories.

      I do the same! I make a big bowl of broth with 3 eggs whisked inside, buk choy wilted inside & spring onions. Yummy & filling!

    Hi Jackie!! You explain things sooo well!! I have been doing IF for over a year with very slow weight loss. Last week I tried doing ADF and lost 3 pounds!!! I was sooo excited!! My body needs a longer fast time to lose weight. I will be doing ADF every week now until I lose my excess 40 pounds! (love your cute Christmas earrings too!!)🥰

    Thanks for sharing. I love having down days, although I find that I need to completely fast or I can’t stop eating. The morning after a down day is one of the best feelings ever! During this holiday season they have helped to make all the days of celebrating to balance out!

    2 months of OMAD and I’m 20 pounds down… trying a down day for the first time right now-so far so good! Thanks for all the info. Never heard of ADF before coming across your channel.
    Excited to have this in my tool belt and excited for the flexibility it will provide me. Meeting family for lunch and looking forward to sharing a meal with them and having freedom with my food for the rest of the day 😊

    I find it so much easier to do a down day if i incorporate an avocado. I absolutely love them and they help sustain me all day!

    For those who want to try the chocolate LMNT flavors - here's a tip. It's MUCH better in hot milk (almond milk, coconut milk, whatever you prefer) than with water. It's like a soothing hot chocolate that way!

    I really like your videos because you give so many options for meal examples. I enjoyed the eating out one. I occasionally eat the 500 modified fast day. Some days I just do a full fast. I love having this option. And it’s great, because I have increased my workouts. Thanks!

    Hi Jackie, thank you for sharing this video. I have been listening to Fast Feast Repeat on Audible and I just finished the chapter on down days. I am curious, when you first started this plan did you stick to just one down day per week like you do now or did you do two or three times per week like Gin recommends? I am not finished with the book yet, but I think she said that three days a week is what worked for her but I am liking the idea of just once a week, or twice at the most.

    Today I did a 19 hrs fast before my first Down Day. I had my meal in 24 minutes and plan to fast at least 18 hrs before my up day. So excited to finally be here! I plan on having 3 down days follow by 3 up days for a few weeks to break through my plaetue. Thank you for encouraging me

    Hello question when you do your omad is there a certain calories restriction in your omad I’m like you I do omad every day maybe ADF one day but the next day I can’t eat a lot of food on that next day I end up doing 1 big meal and it’s a lot thats it some people eat a whole lot the whole day do you suppose to on that up day I just resume doing omad MealPrep my meals am I’m doing this right

    jackie so which is best routine seems like you do ADF all time do down 500 day and next day 8 hr refeed 3 meals are all 3 meal 3 course each and 2 hr window each?

    How much water are you using per LMNT pkg.? I got some, and ....dang....IT'S SALTY!! I guess that's the point of an electrolyte, but I really don't like it, and I want to...😕 Also, did you test a flavored LMNT when you did the glucose monitor? I would be interested in knowing if it stimulated insulin production. It's kind of wishy-washy how they answer whether you can have the flavored ones during a fast or just the unflavored.

      I agree, I tried one, and I did not like it, I need to know how much water to use also. And I wish I’d known can’t use flavor during fast or I would of ordered all plain, cause I do OMAD and I feel I need the LMNT during my fast.

    Due to finding out I have gallstones after one bad attack that landed me in the ER. I have modified things for my fasting otherwise I was fasting 48 or 72 hours once a week. So now I am eating salad every day I easily make a 500 calorie salad with mixed nuts and cheese. I've started taking bile salts and other supplements to help my gall bladder daily. But I hear being overweight and losing weight quickly both cause potential for gallstones and the doctors go to is to take out the gall bladder which I am trying to avoid. It seems to be only negative I've found since starting IF last year.

      I worry about that too. Good advice to eat the 500 calories daily and take bile salts. Are there any other supplements we should be taking to avoid a gallbladder attack? Ty.

      It's both. "Modified" down day is 500 calories. Straight up Unmodified is zero calorie consumption on a down day.

    I have been doing a 20/4 fast and the weight loss has been VERY slow. I've been fasting for 120 days and Some months I don't lose weight all (but I don't gain weight!) I have lost 13 lbs. I'm thinking about trying this, but for some reason I'm really nervous... 😂. Any tips? Wish me luck.

      Seems like you’re doing a good job. Maybe have a shorter eating window? I know for me I can eat quiet a lot in 4 hours lol.
