    Thank you for posting this today! I am on a down day and needed a boost of confidence ❤. I have struggled with IF off and on for a few years, the eating window approach sometimes throws me into bingeing mentality. I have really been enjoying your 500 calorie down day videos, there aren’t many other people on TH-cam doing the 500 calorie down days. It feels very doable to me and I feel like I am finally enjoying the process. Thank you for the inspiration!

    Hey, I just started fasting in April and I wish I knew how easy this is years ago, how I found out about fasting was from TH-cam! Thanks for helping us who don't know anything about fasting.

    I LOVE cooking/baking when I’m fasting. I understand it can be hard on some people but for me, it’s a way to pass the fasting time and I really enjoy it because I know I’m going to get to eat it eventually! It’s amazing how easy fasting is to me now. I’ve been fasting since July 2022 so by now it easier, but honestly it did take a while for me to not get those hunger pangs, or feel like I’m depriving myself when my family eats around me. It’s no biggie to me now🎉

    Listening to this as I’m fasting and getting chores done and right when I pulled out my unflavored LMNT, you did too! As a newbie to the longer fasts, your fasting vlogs have been clutch in motivating and encouraging me to wait until my eating window. Keep them coming!!

    I just did my second 37 hour fast. I hated the first one. Second one was so much better and now I can’t wait for the third!!

    Big fan of you and Ryan Johnson's channel. I didn't really get the adf thing at first but it's making more sense how it might work for me and fit into my life. Thank you for sharing how you're doing it. Super helpful.

    Thank you Jackie, you are truly inspiring. I started fasting because of your videos. Like you I have tried several different diets and I always failed because they were so restrictive. I feel great during the fasted state. It’s so freeing to be able to eat what I want during my eating window. I just had to get myself in the mindset to start fasting. Thanks to you I’m finally able to stick with this new way of eating for long term success. I never could go back to eating the way I did before I started fasting. Thank you again for your fantastic videos. I will continue to watch each and every one. I’m finally free of the old eating habits. God Bless You!

    I really enjoyed watching this. Sometimes I start to feel a little down and bored on a down day. I’m only starting out with ADF so I’m not used to this. It was nice to watch how you kept yourself busy and going. The thoughts in your mind but the willpower to continue and be chill about it lol. Also how excited you were to eat on the up day. I felt all the feels. Thank you for sharing.

    Jackie such great uplifting content. Much needed as I started omad clming from mixed 16 hours and 20 hours...but omad and keto i lost 28kg before..
    So my memory is positive with omad and keto..this time im going to think about being looser and eat little bit more of what I want but keep fasting strict. Think fasting is key..but flexibility is important so things dont get rigid.
    Thanks for inspiration content..so refreshing..so happy new 2024 and lets get down to fasting and up our energy! Have a wonderful day!

    When your next AFD challenge? Have been trying to be successful at AFD. Then watched your first challenge video and realized that my up day should have a 6-hour feeding window (two meals). Excellent, I was trying to do OMD on my up days, doesn't work for me, will adjust my strategy to follow you advice, up day = 6 hours / two meals!! Thanks.

    I needed this video! Thank you for posting this. I have been contemplating adding adf to my Omad fasting routine but for some stupid reason, I am not able to do it consistently. Even though, it is easy to do ADF with a 500-calorie meal. Now every time I try to convert the down day to omad, I shall rewatch this video.

    In your opinion, what is easier: fasting for 2 days in a row or eating every other day with two days of eating and two days of fasting intercalated?

    Great video Jackie! Do you have any advice for a teacher? I want to try OMAD but not sure what time of day is best?

    • @candecarro
      @candecarro ปีที่แล้ว

      If I were a teacher I would make dinner my one meal. I’ve been OMAD for almost two years- most days dinnertime is my one meal. But I’m flexible, so a few times a month I vary it.

    Hi. I’ve been following your videos for a while. Thanks. But I had to ask, how do you drink coffee all day and in the evening and still go to bed? Especially in this video where you are doing alternate day fasting? I wouldn’t sleep a wink if I did that on a normal day, let alone a fast day. Just curious

    How long did you fast before those shaky feelings stopped? Or does that mean I just need electrolytes? I feel like electrolytes while fasting would help me. Maybe unflavored LMNT?

    • @samzee7747
      @samzee7747 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, you need electrolytes. Celtics salt or pink Himalayan in a glass of water helps. Stops cravings, shakes, fatigue, weakness. If needed, before a fast, +then upon eating.

    Whoa! That “up day” breakfast was insanely high in carbs - bagel and OJ!!!
    I know, I know! You are not counting carbs BUT…. I think it should be noted & you might even want to comment on your videos, that if a person struggles with diabetes or pre-diabetes, whether IF or not, choices like this will raise your blood sugar sky high!
    Sometimes I feel like your channel is you constantly flinging out crazy high carb, high sugar foods that you eat just to show what YOU can get away with - almost in a flippant manner. Not everyone can/should eat like you and maintain healthy blood sugar levels - fasting or not. Just my opinion.

    • @CarnivoreHiker
      @CarnivoreHiker ปีที่แล้ว +23

      “Flippant” is your projection. Ask yourself why you begrudge another’s genuine joy. We could all stand to approach our meals with joyfulness. If you can’t tolerate carbs, eat something else you enjoy!

      She's not telling anyone what they should eat. She even has a written disclaimer at the beginning of the video. Every adult human is solely responsible for researching and deciding what they put in their mouths.

      This Woman is not a doctor She is just sharing what she does & what works for her. It’s not her responsibility to tell each & every person watching this video you should be watching out for. That’s your responsibility to figure out for yourself

      Jackie's breakfast also included eggs, cheese, sausage, and avocado. Your comment makes it sound like she only ate sugar and processed carbs. Even if that were true, it's up to viewers to be responsible for their own food choices and health.
