    I earned my stroke. 100 lb overweight, sugar and processed food, high blood pressure, super stressful job, sedentary lifestyle. BMI is now 21, I no longer eat processed or fast foods, I bike and exercise everyday. I've reversed a lot of the damage. As much as I can. I took responsibility and now try to be as healthy as possible.

    Had my 1st stroke in 2018. I lead a very healthy lifestyle. Good diet, exercise,etc , and medication (since)from my neurologist. Had a devastating stroke in October that I’m still trying to recover from. No one can tell me what to do to avoid another one. I’m afraid if I have another it will be devastating. It’s an extremely cruel outlook.

      Dr Joe Dispenza's approach to healing oneself is amazing. TH-cam contains his teachings and testimonials from those who crossed the river of change. He's written books on mind to matter healing. Backed up by science. Higly recommended. Sky indeed is the limit ✨

    I have lost 56 pounds on ketovore. I do not smoke, do not drink, and I don't have high blood pressure. So why did I have a stroke? How do I prevent it when I don't do anything wrong. I have a happy, relaxing life.

    Change everything about your life. I am 7 years in and have never suffered a 2nd one bc I changed my eating habits and lost weight. You can do it! No high blood pressure but low stress! Lifestyle is definitely the key. I don’t eat processed food! If you don’t pay for the food now you will be paying for it later by paying to get healthy by having to pay for meds!

      I was completely healthy and had a stroke due to an AVM in my brain that ruptured. I had it removed, so hopefully I'm good now. AVM is very rare and something you are born with, out of your control. I ate very healthy most of my life, which made this stroke more devastating for me. I got my 3rd degree black belt a week before my stroke.

    I just had a stroke three weeks ago. I’ve stayed away from processed foods and the like (I was on keto diet before). Other than high BP and stress management, I don’t see how o could have gotten a stroke. But here I am, hearing my chances of getting another stroke DOUBLES. Ugh.

    I had a stroke 12 years ago. About 5 years ago I gave up processed foods, sugar, oil, and went whole food plant based low fat. This was my fear in that I may experience a second stroke. These are good advice and tips. I still have physical effects from the stroke which is mainly stubborn muscle spasticity. Your videos are a world of help to me. I say this every time. Thank you for all you do for us. You're very much appreciated ❤️

    Thank you for this message. I had a TIA last week. Wake up call that changed my perspective. I had already changed my eating habits but have become even more conscious.
    Your ideas about food deserts are a little naive. Food deserts are a real thing. It’s easier to go to the corner store than to travel 2 or 3 fare zones on a bus. I know because I’ve lived in them all my life.
    Thank You. Now that we know better we can do better

    If I would’ve known what I known today I would have changed my wife and my lifestyle many years ago my wife’s been having strokes Now for three years now she is paralyzed on her right side of her body And she cannot read or write or communicate and she’s cannot see with the right eye and the left eye has a cataract and she wears a diaper she has no control over her bowel and bladder these strokes are cruel

      Really it is very cruel. There is no any answer on medical science. You just wait and see. The life is very miserable for patient and their family. No one can understand the pain we bear right now. Myself also a victim for my wife brain hemorrhage and its results of paralysis.

    I completely agree with the advice, for me the bigger cause was stress due to very frequent trips, dynamic work and frequent sleeping in hotels. Also irregular nutrition in addition to quality. A matter very similar to traffic, not knowing what is good for the body does not save us from responsibility, i.e. the consequences.

    I am a stroke survivor 13 months ago. Broken ankle 12 months ago. That is how I found your channel. Was pre diabetic and had high blood pressure ( on medication). When diagnosed changed my lifestyle. Even tried keto and started going to the gym 4 days a week. Lost 57 lbs but unfortunately still had a stroke. So I agree with you 100%. I feel my recovery has gone so well because of this. 90% there. But I was wondering if you had heard of MCTWellness? And what your thought is since you said you were going to start researching things. Oh forgot to mention my doctor just put me on Ozempic as well. Great info thank you!

    • @rehabhqofficial
      @rehabhqofficial  ปีที่แล้ว

      This is such an awesome accomplishment! Keep going! Why do you need Ozempic if everything you are doing is working?

    • @user-tn8sz6lk5z
      @user-tn8sz6lk5z ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rehabhqofficial My AC1 numbers were a little high 6.5 even though I cut out all sugar. And found that Kamut and Einkorn flour doesn’t trigger me. I had a long conversation about next steps. I didn’t want to deal with insulin so went with ozempic. I have been on it for two months and thankfully have not had those terrible side effects I read about. That is why I am looking into MCT Wellness to help with more weight loss and work towards getting off all medications. Your exercise recommendations have been extremely helpful. Thank you!

    My mom had a few TiAs caused by cholesterol breaking off he arteries so far two of my brothers have had triple bypasses my arteries are clear I didn't eat red meat for about twenty years and was an exercise nut combined resistance and aerobics when I had my stroke I had aspiration pneumonia and cdiff within two weeks the hospital staff was of the opinion my level of fitness kept me alive I don't drink any soda containing high fructose corn syrup it gives me gout I drink sodas with real sugar because I know my body can metabolize it I've been able to use my left leg Abit have about the same level of use in my left arm I'm getting there My stroke was completely avoidable it was caused by AFib one clot made it's way to an artery in my brain and I'm 4.5 years out of the date of my stroke and see ing some gains I decided I'm going to make gains at the speed they manifest. For awhile I was frustrated my change of attitude gave me more peace than I was allowing myself to have. Which has made my wife happier with me

    Does CBD oil help stroke patients or any treatment like the lead to second stroke? Heard Ginseng helps brain health, but then again it might go against the blood thinner. Your input in it will be extremely helpful.
    I hated desserts before but strangely after stroke I ended up with a tremendous craving for anything sweet!
