Love these doves.❤️😇I enjoy feeding them daily. They seem to come every morning ,Breakfast and evening for last bit of dinner. Yesterday they sat on fence and just looked into window. I appreciate you sending video.
They are so skittish. I live in NW OR. I feed many birds but this one us probably the most skittish. Once they fly away the go quite a ways and won't come back for a long time.

The mourning dove doesn't usually use a man made nest. They like to build in odd spots though, and their nests can be quite flimsy. Once they find a spot they like, they will often reuse the same nest.
Bird houses? No. But mourning doves will build (or reuse) a nest on just about any horizontal surface, such as a flower pot, and they don't care how close it is to humans. They can't resist a hanging flower pot with a man-made nest already in it!
