- Hey guys! I've been meaning to read and explore the world of Manhwa, aka Webtoons, aka Korean Comics for quite a while now. This video was my excuse to finally do so, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. In this video, I explain manhwa as a medium and delve into some recommendations too. Hopefully this is insightful whether you're a manhwa fan or not.

Manhwa authors tend to have less cliche and a bit more mature characters (but at the same time have their own Korean specific archetypes) it was the first thing I noticed. Like in any other media there are some good, bad and awesome stories. Romance, action, fantasy, horror, everything.
I am personally very keen on Tower of God. For the longest time I had a “perfect adventure story” in my head, but I couldn’t find anything that would make me go “this is the one”. LoTR, GoT, Wheel of Time, One Piece, each of them was good but didn’t hit 5at specific spot. Then I found ToG and immediately knew this is it. Great cast, unique character designs, mature characters and themes, awesome lore, mystery, politics, setting. It really feels like you are diving into a huge living and breathing world.

I would recommend LOOKISM it's pretty amazing and disturbing at times I think it just got an anime on Netflix this season

Omniscient Reader is by far the best manhwa I've ever read. It has one of the most entertaining worlds and plotlines in general and twists and turns are crazy!
