If you closely looks the operation manual of LAUNCH PAD 7, it tells not to connect power supply/Mains to 'C' link. And if you do so, a damage to link C will occur and LAUNCH will not take any responsibilites for it. So never power up your VCI(C link). Its only powering up from the vehcile DLC cable. And now question comes to LAUNCH: WHAT IF THE VEHILCE DLC HAS NO POWER?? THEN HOW DO I CONNECT MY VCI WITH LAUNCH PAD??

There's a special function specifically for power balance which is available for multiple vehicles, not just ford

I was literally about too buy a used snap on unit and this does way way more, and I can get it new. It’s hard too beat these Chinese units.
