    During the live show they shoot confetti mixed with Ghost money called "mummy dust" into the crowd. It's very collectible and traded among the fans. The shows are also called rituals not concerts. The fandom of Ghost has a lot going on, more than most bands. It reminds me of the KISS Army from back in the day.

      Wow, yeah it's interesting how they've managed to create their own culture among the fans!

    Ghost is just one of those bands where everything they release just seems to be a banger. You're going to be flooded with requests because almost every song on each album is worth reacting to.

    • @FlameImperishable
      @FlameImperishable  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It’s a challenge figuring out which song to react as there’s so many requests! I want to try something extra dark and atmospheric from them. Sounds like The Ritual is a Good option?

      @@FlameImperishable I missed this and you've done so many songs! Loving all of the reactions! Ritual is great. The catch of all of Ghosts songs are that they are the spoonful of sugar that helps the Satanism go down. The one song that drops the veil completely and just oozes darkness is YEAR ZERO. Highly recommend that if you're after dark and atmospheric.

  • @Lazarus_Cardinalis

    For a healthy dose of Satan, I recommend Year Zero, and for a quintessential Ghost song that doesn't even appear on their official discography is Zenith!

    I was anxiously awaiting your reaction to Mummy Dust, as it is one of the heaviest Ghost songs, plus I love the keyboard solo and the energy of the guitar, not to mention Tobias's sinister but beautiful voice.
    They could react to the old, maybe with Clavi with Dio or Year Zero, I hope you like it ♥️

      Yeah thanks for the recommendation! That keyboard solo was awesome, but my favorite detail of the song was that little piano melody after he says Mummy Dust. So cool!

    *In fact James of metallica was the one that somehow catapulted them to fame, since when ghost was debuting James loved the fresh sound they brought and used it as a backdrop in 2010, from there they started a friendship tobias forge (ghost) and James (metallica)*

      Yes! It's so cool when Metallica plays on Ullevi in Sweden 2010 and swedish music journalist Per Sinding Larsen interviews James before the show and he wears an Opus Eponymous t shirt ❤️

    Good reaction. If you want to do more then go back from the start and listen to how it all started. Tobias was in a band called Magna Carta Cartel and sat with Martin Persner in a sofa playing guitar just hanging out. Then something happened and Tobias left the room for a couple of hours. When he came back "Satans Natt" was born. He later changed the lyrics to english and "Stand By Him" . The first ever Ghost song was born.

    If it hasn't been said yet, "mummy dust" is a Southern phrase, basically calling someone stupid, having mummy dust instead of a brain. The first lyric "I was carried on a wolf's back to corrupt humanity" is a reference to how Augustine (or Aquinas, I forget) viewed avarice, riding on a wolf.

    The first Ghost album is the heavier in terms of sound and letter, I recommend starting with the Elizabeth song, ritual or even with Clavi - with dimensives ... Happy Greetings Man Week ... 🍷 ♥

    If you want to hear another side of Ghost, definitely listen to Dance Macabre or Rats. Two of my favorites and definitely more of a 80s sound to it. Ritual from their first album is another good one too.

    How about a reaction to "Power" by "Fierce Diety". It's the first track of the three track 32 minute long concept album "Power Wisdom Courage.". It's a solo effort by the lead singer from the aussie metal group Taberah. (Their song Necromancer is my favorite.)
