The end of the video shows Papa becoming the new Emeritus so 'life eternal' also applies to him and to follow him forever you must submit.
This video came out during lock down, so the visuals of everyone being together and having such celebration at this concert hit extremely hard

"Life eternal" is one of the most beautiful songs in the Ghost catalog imho.. It brings a tear to my eye every time.
As the song is from the Prequelle album, it has of course some sort of black plague relation, and I think it's about a couple standing together, knowing that they have caught the virus.. knowing they are going to die. "I feel your hands are cold".. "within your heart a story to be told".. then directly "This is the moment of just letting go", because the moment of death has arrived.
Knowing Tobias, he writes songs with double meanings, even triple.. I totally agree with all your comments. The video is a homage to the fans. The focus of the video are the fans themselves and the sort of love and companionship fans enjoy. No matter if you go to a ritual alone, you will always make a friend.. Also being shot in black and white symbolizes the black and white paint of papa's masks through the album cycles .
I think another aspect of it is the question being posed.. If you could live forever.. would you do it? "Can you hear me say your name forever?".. "Can you feel me longing for you forever?".. or in other words.. given the opportunity of eternal life, would you grasp it? Or would you "just let go"...
I think you'd enjoy listening to "Kaisarion" from the "Impera" album next... or... if you think you're up for it.. Try "Twenties" from the very same album for some serious metal reggeaton

This song has been used for both funerals and weddings..! It is multi-layered in meaning, and wonderful. Note at the end, Cardinal Copia is promoted to Papa IV. The footage was from Ghost's last concert before Covid, in 2020.

The ascension of Papa IV in Mexico City March 3rd, 2020. Cardinal Copia earned his skull paint. This was also Tobias' Birthday
This song is being played at weddings and funerals.
Some say this is in tribute to his late brother.
The song played at Cardinal Copias ascention to Papa is of course the very fitting song "Arrival" by ABBA, from their 1976 album by the same name. It is best known for being played in weddings as the bride walks down the aisle.. What better way to arrive at your own wedding 🙂

He wrote the song about his younger brother who died right around the time the band got noticed and they took off. He wonders if somehow the universe traded his brother for the success of Ghost.

To live forever would be hell. If you do not think so, then you do not know what forever means. There is no paradise you could stand to be in for eternity. A few billion years would be enough to drive you insane, and then it has not even started.
Since Life Eternal is the last song on Prequelle it's obviously about death of someone you love. But the whole meaning of the song is much deeper and asks the question what are you willing to sacrifice to save someone you love? When God doesn't answer your prayers and Satan instead gives you the alternative to save the life of your wife or kids in exchange for your soul. Would you be willing to do that deal?
At the end of the video Papa becomes the new Emeritus so 'life eternal' applies to him and if you wish to follow you must submit yourself to him and join him in his glorious hell.
uh, I think Tobias is an atheist. The whole satanic theatrics is just that....theatrics. If he were in plain clothes ("Rockstar" mode), how would you interpret it then?

Try to think of Ghost as a rock opera and each album/tour is another act of the rock opera. There is a long narrative/lore for Ghost. The group are characters in the rock opera so think of the singer as an actor playing a character.
