Cool being able to improvise and fix stuff my prob is even tho I’ve got a lot of “STASH” I struggle to recall or find it nice little scoot think Suzuki do one called the Bergman has a 650cc engine keep up the gd work
I never really thought about scooters. I don't think they are bad or any less than motorcycles. Just not on my radar. When I do run into them they are impressive machines. Especially these mega-scooters as you put it. There are some pretty cool and unexpected features and capabilities.
They are a good fit for a lot of people, but many can’t get past the stigma. Me…I kind of quit caring about what other people think! I keep running into good deals so I pick them up.
Yeah, I had considered doing that as well. I was happier replacing it with the reasonably priced automotive fitting, the epoxy fix was just for initial testing. Thanks for watching!
Interesting rare scooter. I had to read an old review on it, MSRP was $6499 back then- Yikes. 39HP reliable Piaggio engine, solid drivetrain. 53+MPG. Top speed near 100MPH... Cons: small lean angle and occasional electrical issues. Looks like a fun commuter!
Yes kind of rare in the USA and maybe they didn’t make too many worldwide? I was surprised to see that parts are not available for some of the scooter. I have to test the top speed yet! 😀
I was looking at one of these for sale and i liked the design and power but had the same concerns you did, finding parts and it being too big and heavy. I have a Piaggio Fly 150 cc and am looking to upgrade to something bigger 250+ if i can find one for a decent price. Anyway nice video did learn something about the fuel pumps, trouble-shooting etc.
Yeah I have a Honda nc700x but the scooter is good for commuting that's why I like them. I am glad you did a fuel pump video as mine is starting mo make some funny noises
@@NC750X if I were still commuting I would have a different mindset. I use scooters for quick around town errands, so that’s why I am not too much in love with this one.
Just brought a 06 Aprilia has not been driven five plus years. Owner said that his brother put battery in backwards! Haven't run right since. How bad of a problem do I have?
Just bought a 2003 125cc one of these.. odd that they put the mirrors on the bars on the newer version the one I have they're attached to the fairing Infront 👀
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures thanks I got a great price on it with 4k miles. Sounds spot on just needs a little cosmetic love and a service for piece of mind 👌 rides like a cloud though!

Having stuff on hand is good but it can get out of hand, I try not to be a “hoarder” . The Burgman is pretty nice, Honda also made a 650 I think.
another great video tom, nice addition to your fleet! i love fixing stuff with parts i have on-hand, especially when it saves $700. be well, johnnyg
It was just crazy luck that I had that fuel pump laying around. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than to be good. I’m liking this big scooter!

♥️ ur vids. other fix for the fitting is, cut some plastic strips similar to welding rods, use solder iron to weld the plastic.thanks for the vid

I ended up selling this scooter, I don’t commute so it’s just too big for fun scooter stuff. I think the Suzuki Bergman 400 is a better buy.
Don't ever try to start it with low voltage. It will bugger the voltage reg/rectifier and they are not cheap.
@@brunothepug8807 these models seem to have lots of charging system problems too.

Ive had time to look further and mine has both the faring mirrors and under the plastic panel are the normal brake lever threaded holes too 🤯😂

I’m sorry, I never did the coolant service before I sold this scooter. Hopefully you get the information you need.
Hey are you a service repair shop? I cannot find any one to service mine
I’m just a guy who works on stuff.
How do you get to the spark plug to change it out?
I can’t remember for certain, but once you have the under seat panel removed it should be accessible.
;)
Man can u plz!!!!! tell me where the battery is located all these stupid videos but no!!! one shows u where smh they show u videos of the batter smh
Under the seat , in the rear of the storage area. Two fasteners and a panel. You should get a manual!
