"an online ad" market place of facebook you mean. just picked one of these ttr 250s up. had an xt 225 and thought its was the same the 250 i guess not. need to still test it out to see if it actually has more power
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures please do a vidi on it...in part i owe my existence to IHC...Dad was top med-heavy duty salesman and in the driveway was a re-designed/fab 65 Scout w/302, and next to it was a 75 Travelall. This bike belongs to a friend of mine. He is always talking about big rides on small bikes. We might do something with it before he passes it on to someone else. AZBDR, maybe??
@@martynjames5963 I don’t recall on these bikes. Usually just look at the fuel tap and see the on/off/res and how the valve coordinates with it, specifically the off because it’s in the middle. If long side is pointing to off, then the long side will point towards on/res. Hopefully my explanation makes sense!
Love watching you work on these forgotten gems!
Thank you, it’s really my favorite thing to hear them running after sitting for years.
4:00 I like how the birds are mocking the sound of the starter
@@HimoniePhelps-e9y crazy birds! 😂
trabajo facil, poco dinero y moto nueva....si señor, enhorabuena por tus videos, saludos
It turned out pretty good for the money spent on it. Still have a few things to fix, but it's a great trail bike now. Thanks for watching.
man from the looks of the edits in the intro you live in a beautiful place
It’s not bad, thanks.
Thanks and keen to see some more TTR250 videos!
Hopefully I get to work on it some more.
Those bikes are excellent💪🏍👍
Yeah, it’s a great all around bike
I love mine, but my son kinda stole it! Looking for another light bike.
Carb King fixes another one!! Way to go!,!
Waiting for the crown.
Nice trick with the q-tip
Appreciate it, thanks for watching.

The 250 probably has a bit more power, not sure how much it would be noticeable? Now you have me curious to see if the specs are available.
You are the MAN Tom!
Thank you kind sir! 😀
Super awesome video Amigo
Thank you. This bike is still running great!
@@TomsTinkeringandAdventures I’m getting one tomorrow in perfect condition

Nice little bike
Should be a great trail machine. Gonna do a small bike trip to Big Bear soon.
Fuel tap - which way is on? The long side or the short side of the tap facing up or down?

That's my bike!
You can see all the love that went into it!
Hey need some help fellas , just bought a good 2002 yesterday and im trying to locate the air filter to change if need be. Can anyone help?
It’s under the right side cover. There’s a rubber strap that holds the cover on the air box. The air filter will slide out.
I’d buy it
It was a steal when my buddy got it. He will likely sell it at a fair price later this year.
Gas wasn’t on when u we’re trying it
It had fuel in the line and carburetor. Probably had it in the off position because it was overflowing out the bowl.
Gas was off
Yes, because fuel was overflowing from the carburetor. There was fuel in the bowl, a motorcycle will run at least 30 seconds on that fuel.
how did you take the seat cover off?
It’s been a while since I’ve worked on this, but I think the seat mount bolts are underneath. Right above the back wheel.
I’d trade you a running ttr225! Lmk!
Yeah…no. 😂
