    Your articulation in this video is simply second to none! Deeply poetic! Truly honoring of the deeply personal and unique way that people with dominant Introverted Feeling view the world! Perfectly executed, Erik!

    ERIK THOR BOOOM SOO ACCURATE DUDE. Thank you for saying this dude snaps. It is all about being true to your values, not trying to be more Fe when we aren't, communicating what we believe is truth and valuable while still respecting how others might have a different view point and letting them be what they are without judgment. -INFP

    The bird symbolism really hits home! I've expressed countless times that I dream of flying, to feel free, to satisfy my curiosity of this world and to gain a vision of how all these wonders work, how they make me feel a sense of profound serenity. I'm an INFP, and you've been able to communicate with my heart deeply.

    This is amazing! What a gift you have!
    The visual imagery you described painted a picture of Icarus in my head. You talked about connection to birds and flight. I am an artist and I have a large intricate piece of a Raven in my front room. I go on walks with my dogs and I could stare at an overlook of the city for hours trying to observe the bigger picture.You spoke of finding tranquility and equilibrium and not getting so close to the sun that you get burned but also the danger falling from the sky or getting lost in shadow. The symbolic imagery seems to correlate. Last night I was making sketches of Icarus and I couldn’t figure out why I was drawn to the image. It might be that some of these themes speak to me for the reasons you described.

    ISFP here, loved your description at the beginning. As a child, I wanted to be a spy, seriously wanted it, not like just a little kid whim. I knew I could go around without being noticed whenever I wanted, like a secret Superpower. ;) Now only if it worked with my kids sometimes hehe Guess I'll have to hide in the pantry! Yeah, any ISFP/INFP parent knows what I'm talking about. :)

      as an isfp, I also wanted to be a spy really bad. I would sneak around stepping quietly and when my mom commented on how quiet I was when I walked.. itwas like my dream was just being fed, a real big boost to the idea lol..

    I'm an INFP! My friends call me a ninja because I'll be present, but not present at the same time like you explained xD That's why I always win when my friends and I play laser tag because I can sneak up on them! I usually observe from afar so that I know just when to laser tag them at the right moment! Wow, I do sound like a stalker xD I just really love people-watching xD

    shoot, this is going to send me into another type crisis. I've settled on infj but I relate to this a lot as well. I'm constantly checking people's motives and asking the why questions. Do infjs do this as well? Also, your videos have been very informative and I'm glad you're making a contribution to the typology content on TH-cam. :)

    • @ErikThor
      @ErikThor  7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      INFJs should relate to about half of this. INFJs don't have the reporter, authenticator, listener style of FPs, but we do have the reflecting, tranquil, deep style of feeling like INFPs do.

    I have a question! I read from Dario Nardi that people in midlife act like their near opposite type (since they share the same cognitive functions) for ex ISFP-INTJ... I’m an INTJ and I feel like in social situations I either run away when I can, or I turn into an ISFP sort of “character” of myself ...and when I feel *very* comfortable with the people I even act like an ESFP (almost attention-seeking and clownish). I’m nowhere near midlife 😂 but I was wondering if you’ve seen this effect. Is it possible that people develop a secondary-self or even a tertiary-self that is the near-opposite and opposite of their base personality type to be more versatile in life? I’m not sure if you’ve already talked about this effect before and would be interested in hearing your ideas! (I want to also add that though I can appear like an ISFP or ESFP, I still lack the sort of emotional intelligence that they seem to naturally have. Often I wonder if I may be autistic 😂)

    • @xero6396
      @xero6396 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've often thought that one of my sisters can act very clownish and I think I used that word. I have often wondered if she is an extravert but I don't think so. She's very cool and friendly.

    • @ErikThor

      It's a 50% split between both. INFPs and INTPs share an equally strong intuitive preference where ISFPs share an equally strong feeling preference.

    INFP= kind looking Fi vs ISFP= upset looking Fi

    • @joylugo4979
      @joylugo4979 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      wish it weren't so - ISFP here..maybe our Fi bounces so much off of Se and we're just absorbing momentary external factors?

    • @SabeloNada00
      @SabeloNada00 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joylugo4979 Gulenko explains that FiSe and TiSe/ISTP in MBTI i guess, have a "passive agressive" tone.. for example, kids of these 2 types, when they are rebuked/treated unfairly they will hold that grudge for a long time. Se is not their first function, so for contrast , when an ESFP/ESTP is treated unfairly they will handle the situation right there in real time.. but FiSe and TiSe cannot do that, they will hold a grudge and when finally do an Se thing to set matters straight, its sloppy and out of context. (Demonstrative function is something you are proud of but not that good at)
